<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian menganalisis efektivitas pelaksanaan penyidikan terhadap tindak pidana persetubuhan terhadap anak pada wilayah hukum Polres Mamasa dan faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan penyidikan terhadap tindak pidana persetubuhan anak pada wilayah hukum Polres Mamasa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum empiris. Hasil dari penelitian adalah (1) pelaksanaan penyidikan terhadap tindak pidana persetubuhan terhadap anak dibawah umur pada wilayah hukum polres mamasa belum efektif yang disebabkan oleh beberapa kendala yang timbul pada saat proses penyidikan, yakni sulitnya melakukan pemanggilan terhadap pelaku karena terlebih dahulu sudah mengetahui adanya laporan yang menyebabkan pelaku melarikan diri, sulitnya proses penangkapan karena pelaku yang melarikan diri, sulitnya proses penahanan karena pelaku yang tidak ditemukan, sulitnya proses penggeledahan karena kurangnya informasi mengenai keberadaan pelaku, sulitnya proses pemeriksaan karena tindak pidana yang berhubungan dengan anak memiliki proses yang rumit. (2) faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan penyidikan terhadap tindak pidana persetubuhan anak dibawah umur pada wilayah hukum Polres Mamasa adalah faktor hukum, faktor penegak hukum, faktor sarana dan prasarana, faktor masyarakat dan faktor kebudayaan.
