Abstract

This research was based on the results of a preliminary study conducted by researchers while conducting observations at SDI Bayt Assalam Rengging. A problem was found, namely that in such a learning process it would cause students to become less active and there would be no student activities that really made a difference. This research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of the Environmental Learning model to improve critical thinking skills in class V students at SDI Bayt Assalam Rengging. This type of research is quantitative experimental research using a quasi-experimental method, one group pre-test and post-test design research design. The population of this study were all fifth grade students at SDI Bayt Assalam Rengging. data was collected through a critical thinking ability test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be seen that the Tcount value is 8.978 and the ttable value is 1.729. Because Tcount > Ttable or 8.978 > 1.729 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that "There is a significant influence of the application of Environmental Learning methods on the critical thinking abilities of class V students at SDI Bayt Assalam.
