HUBUNGAN ANTARA DISIPLIN BELAJAR DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPS SISWA

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low achievement of social studies and the lack of students discipline. The purpose of this research was to determine the corellation between discipline of learning with learning achievement of IPS. Research methods used correlational research. The population in this study were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Cempaka school years 2015/2016 with the number of 53 students as the sample. Data collection techniques in this study were using observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Data were analyzed using product moment correlation formula. The results of research are (1) there is a positive correlation between discipline of learning with learning achievement of IPS with correlation coefficient of 0,781 (2) there is a close corellation between discipline of learning with learning achievement of IPS with correlation coefficient of 0.781 is better than rtable 0,271.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya prestasi belajar IPS dan kurangnya sikap disiplin siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan yang positif antara disiplin belajar dengan prestasi belajar IPS. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Cempaka Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016 dengan jumlah 53 siswa yang sekaligus menjadi sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, kusioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa (1) ada hubungan yang positif antara disiplin belajar dengan prestasi belajar IPS, koefisien korelasi 0,781. (2) terdapat hubungan yang erat antara disiplin belajar dengan prestasi belajar IPS dengan koefisiensi korelasi sebesar 0,781 lebih besar daripada rtabel yaitu 0,271.Kata kunci: Disiplin Belajar, Prestasi Belajar, IPS.
