Abstract

ABSTRACTMedia sosial telah menjadi alat penting dalam membentuk pandangan remaja terhadap makanan sehat. Ketersediaan akses yang luas ke berbagai platform media sosial telah meningkatkan upaya siswa untuk mencari preferensi makanan yang dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh media sosial terhadap preferensi makanan remaja di SMA Negeri 3 Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Cross-sectional, fokus pada frekuensi penggunaan media sosial, jenis konten media sosial, dan interaksi dengan konten. Sampel yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah 60 orang, dengan rincian 20 orang dari setiap kelas. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Chi-square yaitu mengidentifikasi hubungan signifikan antara variabel-variabel penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan media sosial dan preferensi makanan remaja (p = 0,016 < 0,05), terdapat hubungan signifikan antara jenis konten media sosial dan preferensi makanan remaja (p = 0,005 < 0,05) dan hubungan signifikan antara interaksi dengan konten makanan dan preferensi makanan remaja (p = 0,001 < 0,05). Media sosial secara signifikan mempengaruhi kebiasaan makan remaja. Informasi dan promosi tentang makanan tidak sehat di platform ini mendorong remaja untuk mengonsumsi kalori berlebihan, yang berpotensi merusak kesehatan dan status gizi mereka.Kata kunci: Media Sosial, Preferensi Makanan, Remaja, Siswa SMASocial media has become an important tool in shaping adolescents' views on healthy food. The widespread availability of access to various social media platforms has increased students' efforts to search for food preferences. This study aims to explore the influence of social media on adolescents' food preferences at SMA Negeri 3 West Aceh Regency. The research method used was a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, focusing on the frequency of social media use, types of social media content, and interaction with content. The sample involved in this study was 60 people, with details of 20 people from each class. Social media significantly influences adolescents' eating habits.
