Abstract

The Reformation period in Indonesia which began in 1998 brought significant changes in Islamic education policy. The method used in this paper is the literature study method. The approach used in this research is a descriptive approach qualitative. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. From this research it can be seen that several policies strengthen Islamic education, improve teacher quality, improve educational opportunities and infrastructure, and develop an inclusive Islamic education curriculum. The political policies of Islamic education at that time included several important aspects. First, the number of Islamic educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools is increasing. Second, increasing the number of Muslim teachers. Third, more attention is given to the development of Islamic educational institutions and infrastructure. Fourth, the aim is to develop an inclusive Islamic curriculum. The government has taken concrete steps to strengthen Islamic education, improve teacher quality, improve facilities and infrastructure, and develop an inclusive curriculum.
