PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DEMOKRATIS ATASAN TERHADAP DISIPLIN KERJA PEGAWAI

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian korelasional. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis atasan terhadap disiplin kerja pegawai Kantor Dinas Kelautan Dan Pertanian Kota Tegal. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 50 orang yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis atasan diukur dengan menggunakan skala gaya kepemimpinan demokratis atasan. Skala gaya kepemimpinan demokratis atasan berjumlah 23 item dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,949. Disiplin kerja pegawai diukur dengan menggunakan skala disiplin kerja pegawai dengan 42 item dan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,955. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel gaya kepemimpinan demokratis atasan pada subjek penelitian berada pada kategori tinggi, yang berarti bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis atasan yang dimiliki pimpinan tinggi. Variabel disiplin kerja pegawai pada subjek penelitian berada pada kriteria tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara gaya kepemimpinan demokratis atasan dengan disiplin kerja pegawai dengan nilai r = 0,914 dengan nilai signifikansi atau p = 0,00. Saran bagi pegawai, agar dapat mempertahankan disiplin kerja baik dalam hal kualitas dan kuantitas kerja yang lebih baik sebagai upaya tercapai tujuan organisasi. Kemudian diharapkan pimpinan dapat mendukung adanya peningkatan disiplin kerja pegawai dengan menyediakan sarana dan prasarana yang dibutuhkan oleh para pegawainya, serta melakukan pembinaan terhadap karyawan secara berkala sehingga dapat melakukan disiplin kerja yang stabil. The research conducted is correlational research. The hypothesis advanced is that there is a significant positife effect of democratic leadership style work tops to discipline an employee of Dinas Kelautan Dan Pertanian Kota Tegal. Subjects numbered 50 people who were determined using total sampling technique. Democratic leadership style of superiors was measured using a scale of democratic leadership style of superiors. The scale of the democratic leadership style tops totaling 23 items with a reliabitity value of 0.949. Labor discipline employees is measured using a scale of labor discipline an employee with 42 items and the reliability value of 0.955. The results showed superior democratic leadership style variables on the subject of research is in the high category, which means that the democratic leadership style of superiors who held high leadership. variable labor discipline an employee on the subject of research is on higher criteria. The results showed that there is a positive relalionship between democratic leaderships style tops with work discipline an employee with a value of r = 0.914 with a significance value or p = 0.00. Advice for employees, in order to maintain labor discipline in terms of qualitv and quantity of work as an effort to better achieve organizational goals. Then the leaders are expected to support an increase in labor discipline employees by providing facilities and infrastructure needed by its employees, and to provide guidance to employees on a regular basis so as to make discipline a stable job.
