This study used qualitative methods, through observation and in-depth interview. The observations and interviews were carried out with the subject and his or her environment. So, the forms of character education, examples of character and educator strategy can be in-depth uncovered, on behalf of internalizing the character education in schools. The study had been carried out for 12 months in SMP Negeri 3 (State Junior High School) Pacitan, East Java. The results showed that education essentially had two objectives, namely helping people be intelligent and smart (smart), and be better human beings (good). Making intelligent and clever man, may be easy to do, but making people be kind and wise seems to be much more difficult or even very difficult. Thus, it is fair to say that the moral problem is an acute matter or chronic diseases that accompanies human life anytime and anywhere.
