<![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk dapat mengeksplorasi berbagai jenis konstruksi bambu dan stuktur mebel bambu yang sedang berkembang, juga merumuskan karakter masing masing konstruksi yang ada pada kerajinan mebel bambu desa Belega Gianyar sebagai patokan dalam memahami keanekaragaman konstruksi mebel bambu yang berkarakter khas Bali. Selain masih kurangnya literatur tentang mebel bambu sebagai bahan pengajaran, juga disesuaikan dengan visi dan misi ISI Denpasar sebagai center of excellence dan bidang seni budaya, dipandang perlu untuk mengkaji hasil karya pengerajin mebel tradisional Bali di desa belega sebagai dasar pengembangan desain mebel yang mengangkat nilai lokal dan berwawasan global. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 4 sistem konstruksi utama yang diterapkan yaitu purus, purus tembus, kawang dan boleh; yang dalam konteks struktur telah mempertimbangkan unsur ergonomic, property mekanikal bambu, gaya yang ditopang mebel dan juga estetika. Pada sisi perkembangan, tampak tidak terjadi perkembangan setelah perkembangan gaya “boleh†pada tahun 1980an yang dipengaruhi faktor masih tingginya tingkat plagiasi antar pengerajin, kondisi ekonomi global yang berhubungan tren (selera pasar), kurangnya promosi secara massif yang berpengaruh langsung terhadap lemahnya nilai inovasi dan kreatifitas pengerajin mebel bambu. The goal of this research is to formulate the various types and characteristic of construction structures of bamboo furniture products of Belega village Gianyar. As a benchmark in understanding the diversity of bamboo furniture construction with Balinese character. In addition to the lack of literature on bamboo furniture as teaching materials, also adapted to the vision and mission of ISI as a center of excellence and the field of art and culture, it is necessary to examine the work of craftsmen of Belega’s traditional furniture as the basis for the development of furniture design which raised the value of the local and a global perspective. The results showed that there are four major construction system is applied, namely “purus†(porus-dowell), “purus tembusâ€, “kawang†and “bolehâ€; which in the context of the structure has to consider elements of ergonomic, mechanical properties of bamboo, sustained style furniture as well as aesthetics. On the side of development of construction system, there is no development occurred after the development of the style of "boleh" in the 1980s were influenced by the high level of plagiarism among craftsmen, global economic conditions related with trends, lack of promotion massively that directly influence the weakness of the value of innovation and creativity craftsmen bamboo furniture]]>
