Penerapan Tipe Talking Stick untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to increase students learning outcome of students on social science subjects by implementing cooperative learning models talking stick type. Type of research was classroom action research conducted in two cycles consisted of planning, implementating observing, and reflecting. Data collecting technique used the non-test and test. The instrument of research data collection used observation sheet and question test. The technigue of data analysis used qualitative and quantitative. The result of research showed that implementation of cooperative learning models talking stick type able to increase learning outcome of social science grade V students of SD Negeri 4 Metro Barat. It can be seen from learning outcome category first cycle with the category of Incomplete, increased in the second cycle to the Complete.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe talking stick. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dengan tahapan setiap siklus yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik non-tes dan tes. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe talking stick dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Metro Barat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kategori hasil belajar siswa siklus I dengan kategori Belum Tuntas, mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II dengan kategori Tuntas.Kata kunci: talking stick, hasil belajar, IPS
