KEPEMIMPINAN INSTRUKSIONAL KEPALA SEKOLAH, KOMITMEN GURU DAN MUTU KINERJA MENGAJAR GURU

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini menjelaskan tentang optimalisasi mutu kinerja mengajar guru SMP Negeri di Kota Sukabumi.Mutu kinerja mengajar guru merupakan unsur penting dalam meraih mutu pendidikan. Tuntutan yang semakin mendesak akan guru yang berkualitas dan berkinerja optimal dalam melaksanakan peran dan tugasnya sebagai pendidik berimplikasi pada perlunya upaya pengembangan kinerja guru secara berkesinambungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah terdeskripsikannya dan teranalisisnya pengaruh kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dan komitmen guru terhadap mutu kinerja mengajar guru SMP Negeri di Kota Sukabumi.Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif.Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 85 guru dan 98 siswa kelas IX.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner.Data dianalisis melalui analisis korelasi dan regresi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mutu kinerja mengajar guru berada pada kategori tinggi, kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah berada pada kategori tinggi, dan komitmen guru berada pada kategori sangat tinggi.Secara parsial,kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dan komitmen guruberpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu kinerja mengajar guru.Selanjutnya secara simultan, juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu kinerja mengajar guru.  Kata kunci:    mutu kinerja mengajar guru, kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah,  komitmen guru.   AbstractThis research describes the optimization of the teaching performance quality of the teachers of the state junior high schools in Sukabumi City. The teachers’ teaching performance quality is an essential element required in achieving quality education. The increasingly urging demand of teachers who have good quality and optimum performance in playing their roles and fulfilling their duties as educators is implicated in the needs of sustainable effort of teachers’ performance development. The objective of this research is to describe and analyze the effect of principals’ instructional leadership and teachers’ commitment on the teaching performance quality of the teachers of the state junior high schools in Sukabumi City. The method used was survey method with quantitative approach. The numbers of samples of this research were 85 teachers and 98 students of the ninth grade. The data collection technique was using questionnaires. The data were analyzed through correlation and regression analyses. The results of the research showed that the teachers’ teaching performance quality was in the high category, the instructional leadership of the principals was in the high category, and the teachers’ commitment was in the very high category.Partially, the principals’ instructional leadership and the teachers’ commitment positively and significantly affects the teachers’ teaching performance quality. Furthermore simultaneously, it alsopositively and significantly affects the teachers’ teaching performance quality.  Keywords:             teachers’ teaching performance quality, principals’ instructional leadership, teachers’ commitment
