<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to identify the problems faced by the supervisors in supervising the students to write their thesises. The study conducted in the State University of Jakarta in August 2012 with the population of all thesis supervisors. The samples were appointed incidental sampling technique and the data were collected by using questionnaire to be analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The findings show, (1) the supervisors mostly find problems in assisting the students in writing Chapter I and developing research instrument, (2) computer application can be utilized to assist the students to develop the research instruments but the program is to be designed. This study provides some suggestions to the students, thesis supervisors, and the Department to overcome the identified problems.]]>
