Pengaruh Metode Problem Solving terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik SD

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low of mathematics learning result of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 East Metro. The purpose of this research was to find out the significant influence of problem solving methods to the results to learning outcomes of mathematics at SD Negeri 1 East Metro. The type of research was experimental research. The research design used was non-equivalent control group design. The population in this research is 52 students of fourth grade. The determination of research sample used saturated sample with 52 students. The research instrument used was the essay test question. Data analysis technique used is pooled variance t-test statistical test. The results showed that there was a significant influence on the problem solving method on student learning outcomes with tcount t table, which was 3.753 2.000 (with α = 0.05). Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Metro Timur. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan metode problem solving terhadap hasil belajar matematika SD Negeri 1 Metro Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 52 peserta didik. Sampel penelitian ditentukan menggunakan sampel jenuh yaitu dengan jumlah 52 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan soal tes uraian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik t-test pooled varians. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada metode problem solving terhadap hasil belajar matematika peserta didik dengan thitung ttabel yaitu 3,753  2,000 (dengan α = 0,05). Kata kunci: problem solving, hasil belajar, matematika.
