Abstract

Mathematics learning in schools today is still limited as a process of delivering knowledge about mathematics. On the other hand, the assumption that mathematics is a difficult subject causes students to be lazy to learn mathematics and the low involvement of students in the learning process To give more opportunities for students to actively learn now developing models of learning. One of the guided Inquiry learning models that can make students active in solving problems. The purpose of this research is to know the students' mathematical reasoning ability in rectangular material in class VIIC SMP Negeri 2 Kandangan 2016/2017 lesson year with Guided Inquiry learning model. This study was conducted using classroom action research (PTK) in 2 cycles with 6 meetings. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIC SMP Negeri 2 Kandangan with the number of students 25 people consisting of 15 men and 10 women, and objects in this study the ability of mathematical reasoning, data collection techniques used tests. Technique of data analysis in this research use mean value and percentage.Research result in quadrilateral study by using Guided Inquiry model on class VIIC student of SMP Negeri 2 Kandangan show student's mathematical reasoning ability increase from qualification enough in cycle I become qualification well once in cycle II.

Abstract

The lack of mastery of mathematical concepts is found in PGSD students, especially in integer matter. This is a serious problem because as a potential teacher, PGSD students must have a correct understanding of a concept. One reason for this lack of mastery of the concept is due to the fragile construction of knowledge. This knowledge construction error can be a pseudo bepikir, that is pseudo wrong and pseudo true. Pseudo is true when the student can answer a problem problem correctly, but the reasoning is wrong. On the contrary, pseudo is wrong when the student answers wrong, but the reasoning is correct. This pseudo-thinking is examined using qualitative research design. The subjects of this research are 24 students of PGSD STKIP PGRI Banjarmasin in the odd semester of academic year 2017/2018. The results showed that most of PGSD students who take the subjects of Mathematics Study of SD I had pseudo thinking on the matter of integer operation. Twenty-one students experienced true pseudo and one student experienced pseudo thinking wrong. These results indicate that PGSD students are able to perform integer operations, but are unable to construct the concept of integer operations well because the process is procedural.

Abstract

The low ability of students in algebra is challenging for teachers to make innovation in the learning of algebra. This research aims to create learning media to help students in learning algebra. The model used for the development of this research is ADDIE, which consists 5 stages, such as Analyze, Design, Development Implementation, and Evaluation. This research produces a product of interactivelearning media called Dart Board Math. The instruments used consist of media validation sheet, praticality sheete, pre test, post test, and students’ argument sheet. This media has been applied to 26 students in the 2nd Grade of Junior High School 2 Salatiga. The Dart Board Math has been classified as as valid from both material aspect and learning media aspect with precentage of 88,1% and 89,1% which are both classified as excellent. The precentage os praticality test result is 84,1% which is classified as excellent. Pair t-test of significance level of 5% produce significance approaching zero with post test average higher than the pre test. Based on the three test that has been implemented, this meda of learing is classified to be valid, pratical and effective

Abstract

Reflective thinking is concerned with the ability to review, monitor, and monitor the solution process when troubleshooting. This qualitative research aims to describe the reflective thinking ability of junior high school student in solving the problem of scalar multiplication type, array multiplication and combinatorial multiplication based on different ability of math and gender. The subjects consisted of 3 male students and 3 female students of grade VII SMP who each had high, medium and low math skills. The result show taht male and female students with high math skills have reflective thinking skills for all type of questions. Student with math skills are capable of reflective thinking for scalar multiplication types and reflective enough in combinatorial multiplication types. Male students with low math skills tend to be less reflective on all types of questions and female students have reflective thinking skills on all types have reflective. It was also ound that male students tend to be able to use ilustrations, for example with pictures whereas female students tend to solve problems on a regular basis for example by writing known, questioned, and answered. These results are expected to help teachers and researchers to understand the level of reflective thinking of students on the type of multiplication in terms of differences in mathematical ability and gender.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to enhance the learning’s result of linear program by applying the linear equation of basic forms in XI MIPA 3 students of SMA Negeri 1 Martapura. Futher more, want to see the proccess of instruction, the value results of learning linear program, and the students’ respons. The subject of this research is the class XI MIPA 3 student of SMA Negeri 1 Martapura that consist of 37 students. All the students have received the linear program learning by applying the linear equation of basic forms, became the object of the observations, filled the questionnaire, answered the test of first and second cycle, and some of them being interviewed. The collected data has been analysed descrivtively. The study’s result shows: (1) the enhancement of learning result is 15%, from the average 84,63 at the first cycle, becomes 97,33 at the second cycle, it means the application of the linear equotion of basic forms can enhances the learning result of linear program of XI MIPA 3 student at SMA Negeri 1 Martapura in the lesson year 2015/2016, (2) from the instruction process, indicats that the psychomotor of the students are very good, and (3) the respons of the students to the linear program learning by applying linear equotion of basic forms are in very good catagorized. The respondents hope: (1) the linear equotion of basic forms should be developed, and in the other topics of mathematics and also the other learning subjects could be applying the simple ways, (2) althought the application of linear equotion of basic form is simple, it should be done carefully and following the concept. (3) the teacher should enhance the service to the students by managing the learning’s speed, the using of whiteboard or screen, and give more examples and variated problems, particulary in problem solving.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how student activity in application of puzzle game media on the material wake flat in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta. In addition, this study also aims to determine the results of learning and student response with the application of these media. The method used in this research is descriptive research method. The study was conducted in SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta with 36 students. Data collection techniques used include tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the application of puzzle game media on the flat wake material can be said to work well, because it produces a positive influence for students. Students' learning outcomes with the puzzle game media provide an enhanced view of the completeness level. In addition, students' responses to learning mathematics by using puzzle games show very strong response qualifications, meaning students feel happy and enthusiastic in applying the game.

Abstract

This qualitative research aims to describe the results of scaffolding in helping students solve the problem of comparative matter of worth and the ratio of reversed values. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves, assisted test sheets and interview guides. Subject consisted of 3 students of class VIII SMP N 1 Tengaran with Low-ability math. Subjects, have studying comparative material worth and turning value and making the most mistakes in solving the problem of comparative matter worth of value and turning value. Data of students mistake are grouped by Newman’s error analysis. The results of this grouping became the basis of the scaffolding. The design of scaffolding is 3 levels of Anghileri namely environmental provisions, explaining, reviewing and restructuring and developing conceptual thinking. The results showed that the most mistakes made by the subject is a transformation error. Error reading and error understanding problem solved with reviewing. Transformation errors and skill errors are handled by explaining and restructuring. Error writing answers and mistakes carelessly corrected by reviewing. Proven provision of such scaffolding can help students to correct errors in solving the problem of comparative matter worth of value and turning value.
