Abstract

The existence of information lately so abundant. This is in accordance with the needs of human information increasing. We can get information all over the place. Information can also be a useful information or useless. This is because many people had confusion about how find information as needed. As a seeker of information , must first be aware of the information needs which was continued by the search information stage. There are some characteristic search information according to Ellis, namely starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verifying, and ending. Eisenberg dan Berkowitz also introduced stage search information that is famous for its Big Six Skills Model. Levels to begin with the definition of the task, search information strategy, the location and access, the use of information, synthesis, and evaluation. Stage or model search information about can be applied in the search information. Fulfill the need for give complacency , so are fulfill needs our information.

Abstract

Regulation of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform No. 16 of 2009 on Functional Master and credit figures, Article 17 stipulates that for the promotion of teachers should make scientific publications and / or innovative work. Therefore, the existence of scientific papers or books work the teacher will always be growing every year. But the library space of SMA Negeri 5 Magelang that small would not be able to accommodate any paper in hardcopy. Then need other alternatives that can accommodate all these papers with not a lot of space is to create a school repository. To build a school repository required a benchmarking process began, preparing resources, leadership support, procedures and regulations, hardware and software as well as network and information management to handle local content. The results of research in the form of a model repository schools that applied by utilizing existing infrastructure at the Library of SMA Negeri 5 Magelang

Abstract

Abstrak. Melestarikan warisan budaya telah menjadi tugas anak cucu yang diwarisinya. Banyak cara telah dilakukan untuk melestarikan warisan itu agar tidak hilang tergilas kemajuan jaman dan tergulung modernisasi. Pemahaman informasi (literasi informasi) akan warisan budaya pun juga harus dilakukan dan diperkuat agar upaya yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya berhasil dan menemui sasaran. Ponorogo yang dikenal sebagai kota reog tentu memiliki tugas besar dalam melestarikan warisan budaya tersebut agar terus eksis. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara apa saja yang telah dilakukan oleh masyarakat dan Pemerintah Ponorogo dalam pelestarian dan pendalaman informasi mengenai warisan budaya (reyog) tersebut serta memberikan gambaran kepada pelaku informasi termasuk pustakawan mengenai langkah yang dapat diambil guna terlibat aktif dalam upaya pelestarian budaya reyog. Adapun dalam kajian ini akan menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dan pendekatan kualitatif dalam pengumpulan hingga proses interpretasi data. Sehingga hasil yang diperoleh bisa menggambarkan dengan jelas dan mudah dipahami. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa upaya pelestarian dan pendalaman informasi mengenai budaya lokal yang telah dilakukan masyarakat dan pemerintah di lingkungan Kabupaten Ponorogo lebih banyak menggunakan kegiatan yang mendatangkan massa dalam jumlah besar. Kata kunci : Melek informasi, budaya, masyarakat Abstract. Preserving the cultural heritage has become the task of the offspring it inherits. Many ways have been done to preserve the inheritance so as not to be lost over the progress of time and rolled modernization. Understanding information (information literacy) of cultural heritage must also be done and reinforced in order to make efforts that have been done successfully and meet the target. Ponorogo is known as the city of reog certainly has a big task in preserving the cultural heritage to continue to exist.. This study aims to find out what way has been done by the community and the Government of Ponorogo in the preservation and deepening of information about the cultural heritage (reyog) as well as provide an illustration to information actors including librarians about the steps that can be taken to actively engage in efforts to preserve the culture of reyog. The study will use literature review method and qualitative approach in collecting until data interpretation process. So the results obtained can illustrate clearly and easily understood. The result of this research is known that the effort of preservation and deepening of information about local culture which have been done by society and government in Ponorogo Regency mostly use activities that bring mass in large amount. Keywords: Information literate, culture, society

Abstract

Abstrak. Temu kembali informasi saat ini menjadi trend bagi pemustaka salah satunya terkait dengan keberaksaraan informasi masyarakat terhadap pemenuhan informasinya. Melakukan kemas ulang informasi merupakan upaya untuk menarik untuk pengguna dalam menemukan dan menggunakan informasi, dan layanan ini dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna secara spesifik. Jenis kemas ulang infomasi sangat beragam salah satunya dengan pathfinder. Library Pathfinder dirancang sebagai panduan untuk mengumpulkan informasi dan mencakup langkah-langkah penelitian yang spesifik atau pencarian subyek. Pathfinder merupakan panduan awal, atau sebagai alat bantu yang memungkinkan pemustaka (users) melakukan penelusuran secara mandiri, memberikan informasi bagaimana menelusur mengenai sebuah subjek di sebuah perpustakaan. Artikel ini membahas library pathfinder online sebagai salah satu solusi dalam temu kembali melalui kemas ulang informasi yang mudah dalam penelusurannya diharapkan penyedia informasi seperti pustakawan serta pemustaka mengerti cara penelusurannya sehingga dapat memenuhi akan informasi.Keyword: Pathfinder, Libguide, kemas ulang, informasi, temu kembaliAbstract. Retrieval of information is now a trend for pemustaka one of them related to public information literacy on the fulfillment of information. Retyping information is an attempt to appeal to users in finding and using information, and the service is designed to meet the specific needs of users. Types of re-packing information is very diverse one of them with pathfinder. Library Pathfinder is designed as a guide for collecting information and includes specific research steps or subject search. Pathfinders are an early guide, or as a tool that enables users to search independently, providing information on how to track a subject in a library. This article discusses online pathfinder libraries as one of the solutions in retrieval through easy information retrieval in its search is expected to provide information providers such as librarians as well as users to understand how they are tracked so as to comply with information.Keyword: Pathfinder, Libguide, re-packing, information, retrieval

Abstract

Until now the promotion of libraries still occupy the position of caretaker (minor) in information science education and libraries in various universities in Indonesia. Therefore, do not be surprised if then the production unit called the library can stagnate and out of business. The development of blog-based libraries will expand the potential of the user base, while the use of freeware-databases is sufficient to be the backbone of library automation. Meanwhile, the promotion of libraries through social networks can be one of the library marketing tools today, especially to seize the youth segment. Facebook and Twitter from the library can serve as a media campaign and help in the development of reading interest. Things that can be promoted through Social Media: 1) Promoting library presence 2) Promoting library collections 3) Achieving excellent service to the community 4) Providing education to the community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of user perceptual categories of the librarian in reference service. By knowing user perception, it can be used as a donation of thought and consideration for the performance of the librarian in the library in order to make the services in the reference at the Library of the State Islamic University Sunan Kalidjaga is as maximal as user expectation. The type of this research is quantitative research. The sample number of this research is 100 users which take from the user that uses the service of reference or population. The sample was taken by accidental sampling method. The researcher collected the data by using questionnaire, observation, interviews, and documentation. While the analysis of the data used descriptive quantitative data analysis. Based on the description of the results of research on the user perception in the librarian reference service at the Library of the State Islamic University Sunan Kalidjaga, it can be concluded that the general perception of user to the librarian in the reference service can be categorized  into good category with the score of  grand mean; 2.64. While the indicator score for the librarians who find information to answer a specific question, can be good category with a grand mean score; 2.70. For the second indicator, librarians help users find the information was categorized into good category with a grand mean score; 2.70. The third indicator, librarians guide users in using library resources and how to conduct research were categorized into good category with a grand mean score; 2.53. This results indicate that there are no indicators that the score of the grand mean is 3:26 to 4:00 or excellent category, it means that the management of library and librarians in the Library of the State Islamic University of Yogyakarta Sunan Kalidjaga should maintain and improve its performance in serving the users at  State Islamic University of Yogyakarta Sunan Kalijaga
