Abstract

The background knowledge of this research is based on the amount of patients’ pulmonary tubercu-losis who get failed doing their therapy and recur in having it after doing the treatment at RSUP Persahaba-tan.The objective of this research is to decrease the amount of patients get failed doing the therapy and recur at RSUP Persahabatan. The method of the research is Quasi-experimental with Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Postest Design. Furthermore, the technical sampling used is voluntaryby two apparent groups, 54 pa-tients as control group and 54 patients as experiment group. The instrument of this research are pre-test,posttest and Likert Questionair Model which is used to measure the knowledge and compliance toward the outcome of the therapy before and after it meets a good validity and reability test with standard α = 0,05. The conclusion is education pharmacy can increase knowledge and compliance with TB patients so that the outcomes of therapy against Pulmonary TB patients at RSUP Persahabatan is improved.

Abstract

Mammals is one of the framers class of the diversity of wildlife on an ecosystem. The data about mammal’s diversity in Gunung Raya Wildlife Reserveare still limited for the biodiversity management especially on mammals in this area. One methods to know the presence of mammals in Gunung Raya Wildlife Reserve is by doing the inventory. The aim of this research is to know the presence of mammals and its conservation status in Gunung Raya Wildlife Re-serve South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency South Sumatera Province. This research was done from March 2017 to April 2018 in Gunung Raya Wildlife Reserve, exactly on Pasir Bintang, Mesagi, Bukit Lebong, and Manduriang South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency South Sumatera Province. The method used for this research was by Reconnaissance Walk. The data collected by direct observation, camera trap, life trap, mist net, activity track and interviews. There are 23 species of mammals recorded in Gunung Raya Wildlife Reserve by this research, 9 of those species listed as protected animals based on PerMen LHK No. 20 Thn 2018, which are Symphalangus syndactylus, Nesolagus netscheri, Manis javanica, Lariscus insignis, Ratufa affinis, Tapirus indicus,Presbytis melalophos, Trachypithecus cristatusand Helarctos malaya-nus and based on IUCN 2018 there are 1 species which is Manis javanica categorized as CR (Critically Endangered) which in the near future will be threatened of the extinction.

Abstract

Waders migrate to maintain survival, to find new food sources and avoid extreme environmental changes. Waders population in a location varies according to environmental conditions. The study was con-ducted using the point count method. The observation time of each location is 30 minutes with repetition 3 times. There are four observation locations, namely Bungin River Estuary, Solok Buntu Estuary, Barong Kecil River Estuary, and Siput River Estuary. Data analysis technique uses correlation analysis. The results showed the number of wader birds at the end of the season migration in the Siput River Estuary was 886 individuals, while the Barong Kecil River Estuary was 536 individuals, Bungin River Estuary 140 individuals, and Solok Buntu Estuary 105 individuals. Tringa totanus, Limosa laponica, and Numenius arquata can be found at each observation location. Wader birds population found correlated with macrozoobenthos density had a correla-tion coefficient of 0.73.

Abstract

PT. Earth Blooms Green (BMH) is a company engaged in the Hutan Tanaman Industri which is lo-cated in South Sumatra, which is part of the area known as the roaming area of Sumatran Ele-phants. PT. Bumi Mekar Hijau have work areas covering 250- 370 hectares. The existence of Sumatran Ele-phants in and around KPPN will be very affected by the carrying capacity of its habitat. A habitat will be able to accommodate a number of wild animals according to the optimum capacity available in the habitat. One im-portant component in habitat support capacity is the availability of feed plants inside or outside forest areas. Types of elephant feed plants found at KPPN PT. BMH consists of Campnosperma macrophylla, Schismatoglottis calyptatra, Dillenia aurea, Shorea beccariana, Diospyros confertiflora, Macaranga pruinosa, Acacia denticulosa, Ficus benjamin, Nephrolepis cordifolia, Pandanus artocarpus.
