Abstract

The purpose from this research is to test the effect from CEO characteristics towards firm performance. CEO characteristics was proxied with founder CEO, ownership, tenure, and education. Firm performance was proxied with Tobin’s Q. The sample from this research are every non-financial firm that have been listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2010 – 2015 period. The method from this research is purposive sampling with analysis technique model multiple linier regression. The result from this research showed that founder CEO, CEO ownership, CEO tenure have a positive significant effect towards firm’s performance or Tobin’s Q.   Keywords : CEO Characteristics,  Firm Performance

Abstract

Customers are the main part for the success of any business. Measurement of customer satisfaction is becoming vital for the long term sustainability of any organization especially service organization. In higher education context, student is a primary customer. So student satisfaction is important concept in facing increased pressure of the competition in the education service industry. It is vital for high education institution to have a proper understanding what determinants of student satisfaction. The most of customer satisfaction study have focused on service quality as an antecedent of student satisfaction. Model of service quality that will be examined in this study is HiEDQUAL model of service quality. Five aspects in measuring service quality are teaching and course content, administrative service, academic facilities, university facilities, and service support. This study will also test the role of university reputation as a moderator variable. Samples of this study are active students of Faculty of Economics of Maranatha Christian University. Questionnaires will distribute for 350 students. Abstract

Manusia tidak dapat dipisahkan dari budaya mereka, dalam hal kepemimpinan pengaruh budaya telah terbukti, oleh karena itu suatu teori kepemimpinan tidak dapat diterapkan secara serta merta kepada masyarakat tertentu yang mungkin memiliki budaya yang berbeda. Sebagai salah satu referensi kepemimpinan dalam budaya Timur, khususnya Indonesia, salah satunya adalah Sunda. Dalam hal kepemimpinan, budaya Sunda memiliki banyak nilai Kesundaan yang diterapkan dalam prinsip-prinsip kehidupan seorang pemimpin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai kepemimpinan Sunda dan membangun konseptual Model dari Kepemimpinan Sunda melalui kajian literatur dan observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kepemimpinan Sunda didasari oleh 3 dimensi dasar budaya Sunda yaitu Silih Asih, Silih Asah, dan Silih Asuh. Dimensi kepemimpinan budaya Sunda ini memiliki banyak faktor-faktor nilai yang melekat didalamnya. Seorang pemimpin yang baik dan ideal dalam pandangan Sunda adalah pemimpin yang kepemimpinannya memiliki sifat-sifat Animan, Rajeun, Leukeun, Purusa Ningsa, Widagda, Gapitan, Karawaléya, Asih,karunya, Mahiman, Lagiman, Prapti, Prakamya, Istiwa, Wasitwa, Emét, Imeut, Morogol-rogol, Cangcingan, Langsitan/Rapekan,Ahiman, Paka Pradana, Guna, Ramah, Hook, Pesok, Mupreruk, Ngulas, Nyecep, dan Ngala Angen. Tiga dimensi dasar budaya Sunda beserta dengan nilai dan faktor budaya yang melekat didalamnya inilah yang menjadi acuan serta panutan gaya kepemimpinan yang ideal dan dianggap memiliki kualitas kepemimpinan yang baik   Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan, Kepemimpinan Sunda, Model Kepemimpinan, Nilai Kepemimpinan Sunda

Abstract

This study examined the influence of conformity and self-concept to consumptive behavior and its impact to online shopping intention. This study is the integration of previous studies to determine the effect of simultaneous  between variables. Respondents of this study were 142  university students who have ever seen e-commerce advertisements on electronic media participated in this reseach. There are several findings in this study. First, conformity has positive influence to the consumptive behavior. Second, self-concept has postive effect to consumptive behavior. Third, consumptive behavior has positive effect to online shopping intention. Fourth, consumptive behavior perfect mediate the effect of conformity and self-concept to the online shopping intention.   Keywords : conformity, self-concept, consumptive behavior, online shopping intention

Abstract

The population used in this study is all customers of Bank BRI Branch Pemalang who do complaints. While this sample was 150 customers were considered to have been adequately represent the population studied. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method that is the customers who never make a complaint at Bank BRI. Analysis model used in this research is descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The study found that 1) there is a positive and significant effect on the variable procedural fairness to the satisfaction of the recovery, 2) there is a positive and significant effect on the variable distributive fairness to the satisfaction of recovery 3) there is a positive and significant effect on the variable fairness interaction to the satisfaction of the recovery and 4) There is a positive and significant effect on the variable satisfaction on customer loyalty BRI Bank Branch Pemalang. The implication of this research is recommended to Bank BRI Branch Pemalang to pay attention to fairness in service recovery both procedural fairness, distributive fairness and interactional fairness to increase the satisfaction of the recovery so expect customer loyalty will increase, especially in providing the right solution in the handling of a complaint.   Keywords: procedural fairness, distributive fairness, interactional fairness, loyalty

Abstract

Financial distress is a condition where a company experiences financial difficulties which results in the company not being able to fulfill its liabilities. Such conditions will disrupt the operational activities of the company so that the net income becomes not maximal or even negative. This study aims to determine the effect of financial performance and company growth on financial distress. The study population were textile and garment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the period 2012 to 2016, the manufacturing sub-sector with a total sample of 85 samples. The sampling technique used is saturated samples where all members of the population are used as samples. The analysis technique used is the method of logistic regression analysis with the help of SPSS Version 21. The results of this study indicate that profitability and leverage affect financial distress, while liquidity, activity, and company growth do not affect financial distress.   Keywords : financial distress, liquidity, profitability, activity, leverage, sales growth

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh growth opportunity, struktur modal, profitabilitas terhadap kebijakan dividen, dan pengaruh dari growth opportunity, struktur modal, profitabilitas, dan kebijakan dividen terhadap nilai perusahaan. Dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 42 perusahaan manufaktur yang sahamnya terdaftar pada BEI pada periode 2014-2017 atau sebanyak 192 observasi. Dengan menggunakan analisis jalur melalui penerapan analisis partial least square, diperoleh hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa growth opportunity, struktur modal dan profitabilitas signifikan mempengaruhi kebijakan dividen.  Sementara hanya growth opportunity yang signifikan mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan.  Kebijakan dividen tidak signifikan mengintervensi pengaruh growth opportunity, struktur modal dan profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan.   Keywords : growth opportunity, profitabilitas, struktur modal, nilai perusahaan, variable intervensi, partial least square.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui klasifikasi material berdasarkan pergerakan suatu item dengan menggunakan average stay dan consumption rate sebagai parameternya, dan . selisih total biaya persediaan dengan metode perusahaan dan dengan menggunakan metode usulan. Metode penelitian adalah studi kasus dengan menggunakan data sekunder persediaan di PT PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Barat Area Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa klasifikasi dengan menggunakan fast moving, slow moving, non moving (FSN) analysis menyatakan bahwa dari 225 jenis material yang ada, 81% material termasuk dalam slow moving item, dan sebanyak 123 material slow moving item ini tidak mengikuti pola distribusi apapun. Sementara pendekatan tchebycheff menghasilkan kuantitas pesan optimum untuk 10 dari 13 material yang diteliti. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan adanya efisiensi total biaya persediaan sebesar 62.62% yaitu dari Rp86,688,353.19 menjadi Rp32,407,662.64.   Kata Kunci: Pengendalian Persediaan, Slow Moving Item, FSN analysis, Pendekatan tchebycheff .

Abstract

In the last few decades, road pricing scheme have been known to hold a central role in actualizing sustainable and integrated transport systems. Road pricing has been implemented in various forms and price structures in many cities in the world. Although the road pricing and price structures were generally designed based on the rational actor approach, some studies provided evidences that, in reality, drivers have bounded rationality. It can be argued that limited cognitive ability of drivers gave significant effect towards their decision. In developing countries like Indonesia, road pricing seems to be an alternative solution for traffic congestion problems. This research aims to explore the cognitive responses of drivers, particularly on their ways of making decision and learning, to complexity and variability of road pricing, and also to give valuable contribution to the government on making policy towards traffic issues. The initial results indicate that policy makers in Indonesia need to consider how drivers behave in response to road pricing scheme before implementing any road pricing policy. Moreover, multiple factors from the point of view of drivers (travel time, safety, comfort, etc.) should be taken into consideration as integral parts of the road pricing scheme design. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Work Environment, Job Satisfaction and Job Stress on Turnover Intention at High School Technical Staff - PLN (STT - PLN) Jakarta. Technique of collecting data in form of questionnaire by using ordinal scale. This research was conducted on 50 respondents by using quantitative descriptive approach and hypothesis testing. For that, the method of data analysis used is statistical analysis in the form of multiple linear regression test. The results of this study show that partially and simultaneously, work environment variables, job satisfaction and work stress affect the Turnover Intention on High School Technical Staff - PLN (STT - PLN) Jakarta. Therefore the test result of this research states that there is simultaneous influence between work environment variable, Job Satisfaction and Working Stress on Turnover Intention on High School Technical Staff - PLN (STT - PLN) Jakarta.   Keywords: Work Environment, Job Satisfaction, Job Stress, Employee Turnover Intention
