Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the management of clean water supply systems in an ABC industrial area managed by PT. ABC. PT.XYZ experienced the problem of water loss which can be categorized as high in the production process of 15.5% and in the distribution process of 32.6%, where this value exceeds the standard set by the government. This water loss is caused by pipe leaks, which then has an impact on the declining quality of clean water. In this study, the TQM (Total Quality Management) approach was used to overcome these problems. Based on research, the company has implemented the majority of the principles of TQM and has a positive impact on better performance in providing clean water for PT.ABC. The recommendation is proposed by investing in additional infrastructure in the form of a Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

This pandemic has spread to almost all countries globally and infected millions of people in it. This pandemic has spread to almost all countries globally and infected millions of people in it. In a short time, almost all news media reported about the Covid-19 pandemic starting from prevention, positive diagnosed characteristics of Covid-19, and news of the impact that will be felt if someone is known to be affected by Covid-19. The news that circulated not only happened but also much fake news emerged, which caused more pressure on the community. The World Health Organization (WHO) identifies that many of the rumors and misinformation that spread fear in this community mostly come from social media. Therefore, there must be an effort made by a study to find out and test whether there is an influence of the Covid-19 news media on the mental health of the Indonesian people. Based on the results of SEM calculations obtained, media factors that concern mental health are the role of media, content media, media frequency, and media sources. These four things have contributed to mental health factors, namely anxiety, and depression. Depression and anxiety are mental health factors

Abstract

With the current technological advancement and the competitiveness of global markets especially with the shift to renewable energy, oil and gas companies need to double their effort to overcome the challenges. Thus, engineers in the oil and gas sector should increase their job performance to that effect. Knowledge sharing is one of the major ways through which the knowledge and skills of engineers will be upgraded and eventually increase their job performance. Therefore, this study critically reviews the term knowledge sharing and the factors that affect knowledge sharing. It also reviews some factors that influence engineers’ intention towards knowledge sharing in oil and gas firms. It identifies some knowledge sharing enablers such as a knowledge-sharing culture in an organization, human network, social relationship and trust among knowledge sharers and receivers. On the other hand, it identifies some barriers to knowledge sharing such as fear of not receiving enough recognition, lack of proper awareness regarding knowledge sharing and its benefits, lack of trust, differences in the cultural environment, lack of communication skills, lack of time, lack of interest, lack of social networks and lack of motivation are of concern, lack of technological facilities. The paper identifies attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioural control as elements that could influence engineers’ intention towards knowledge sharing in the oil and gas sector. Finally, the paper makes some recommendations on how to effectively share knowledge among engineers in the oil and gas industry.

Abstract

This study explains what waste occurs in the manufacturing industry, where there are 7 wastes, namely excess production, waiting time, unnecessary transportation, excessive processes, excess inventory, unnecessary movements, and defective products. As a result of this waste, the company has lost an output of 46 tons in 1 semester. The purpose of this research is to find out the critical waste and the source of the waste that occurs in the manufacturing industry and then reduce the waste using the waste assessment model and the deming cycle method. The method used to identify waste is the waste assessment model. The waste assessment model consists of 2 stages, namely the waste relationship matrix to determine the relationship between waste and a waste assessment questionnaire to identify the causes of waste. The results of this study obtained critical waste from 7 wastes, namely defect waste with a percentage of 27.94% and the cause of the waste is the frequency of machine breakdowns that occur in area 2 production. It can be concluded that the critical waste in this research is defect waste that originates from engine damage in the production area and within a quarter the waste has been eliminated so that it can maximize the production process.

Abstract

Uncertainty in conditions driven by external factors from the threat of the virus that has an impact on restrictions on human movement by the government affects business and economic conditions in Indonesia, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in handicrafts. The business processes carried out by SMEs are inseparable from the risks they face. Risk management is the right strategy in tackling risks that occur throughout the business process. The purpose of this study was to identify and conduct an assessment of the risks faced by SMEs in Central Lombok during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The method used to analyze risk factors is the checklish method and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). All risks that SMEs may face have been identified, classified and ranked according to risk exposure. The results showed that there were 4 risk factors and 11 risk subfactors identified. The most critical risk comes from financial risk. There was a decrease in income during Covid-19, a decrease in the level of consumer purchasing power, and limited capital. Limited human resource capabilities if marketing online and the difficulty of obtaining raw materials are also critical risks faced by SME actors during the Covid-19 Pandemic
