Abstract

The main issues studied in this research are violations and compliance with the principle of politeness in the book " death laugh (the way of Soeharto) by the Indonesian people". The aim of this study; (1) classifies and describes categories of violations of the principle of politeness in the book "death laugh (the way of Soeharto) accompanied by explanations of the causes of the offenses arising; (2) to classify and describe the categories of compliance with the principle of politeness in the book " death laugh (the way of Soeharto) (the way of Soeharto) accompanied by explanation of the causes of adherence. Given this research is a literature study, then the method of data collection in this study using the method refer (observation or observation) combined with digital corpus program. The digital corpus that researchers use is the "AntConc" program. The working principle of the program finds lexem, words, and phrases, which contain elements of violation and compliance with the principle of politeness. Data that has been identified in AntConc will be recorded manually. It is then analyzed by replacing the initial data element and inserting the new data element as a comparison, then described with explanation as the cause of the breach and compliance arises. The guidelines for classifying abuses and adherence in the book are based on Leech's politeness principle divided into five maxims (maxim of wisdom, dignity, respect, simplicity, and consensus). Based on the results of data analysis, there is a violation and compliance of the principle of politeness in the book " death laugh (the way of Soeharto). Violations and compliance occur in almost all of the maxims, including in the maxims of wisdom, generosity, appreciation and consent.

Abstract

: In the learning of art and culture, media functioned as a means to achieve learning objectives. Role of instructional media is very important in the learning of art and culture, that is to improve student creativity. But in learning art and culture, the role of media is considered not important. This study aims to determine the needs of cultural and arts learning media in SMP N 1 Mojolaban especially class VII. The methodology of this research is survey research conducted to some students of class VII SMP N 1 Mojolaban. The results of this study that as many as  66,6 % require video-based media. The use of video media in the learning process can provide optimal results when used appropriately, in a sense in accordance with the subject matter that supports.

Abstract

Along with the development of literature, geguritan is not just as the entertainment. It has a development change in the function and role. Means, to concern more on the form of aspiration than just as an aesthetics, ethics, meaning, and expression. These aspiration, thus, is able to lead to a resistance form. Nowadays, geguritan has an active role in emerging public’s power criticism on their awareness of current social, politic, and economic situations. This study was to analyze and investigate the resistance form of Turiyo Ragilputra through his geguritan literature work about the phenomena of populace’s affliction as the effect of government’s policy. Bledheg Segara Kidul anthology by Turiyo Ragilputra was used as the object of this study. The discourse analysis approach of Fairclough was applied, it consists three steps: description, interpretation, and explanation. The result showed that many geguritan on Turio Ragilputra’s anthology named Bledheg Segara Kidul have the obvious reaction contents about his resistance on many government’s policies which have bad effects to the populace.

Abstract

Desa Paciran dipilih sebagai lokasi penelitian dengan pertimbangan (1) secara geografis desa tersebut terbagi menjadi dua wilayah, yaitu njar lor dan njar kidul yang dipisahkan oleh jalan raya Pantura, (2) Desa Paciran memiliki kultur yang berbeda pada kedua sub-masyarakatnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini (1) membuktikan bahwa jalur Pantura dan sungai menyebabkan perbedaan dialek, (2) memetakan gejala kebahasaan dari segi fonologi dan leksikal, (3) menemukan kekhasan Bahasa Jawa Pesisiran.Penyediaan data dilakukan dengan cakap semuka empat informan terpilih dari empat DP. Data penelitian ini berasal dari performansi daftar Swadesh yang dimodifikasi oleh R. Blust 200 gloss, medan makna “aktivitas” 80 gloss, dan medan makna “alat” 52 gloss. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Data dianalisis dari segi fonologi dan leksikal, dihitung menggunakan rumus dialektometri, serta dipetakan menjadi peta bahasa dan segibanyak dialektometriTemuan dalam penelitian ini (1) berkas isoglos fonologi memiliki lima pola persebaran dan berkas isoglos leksikal memiliki empat pola persebaran; (2) variasi fonologi terwujud dari variasi alofon, penambahan bunyi, pengurangan bunyi, pergeseran bunyi, penurunan bunyi pada suku kata tertutup, dan substitusi bunyi; (3) variasi leksikal disebabkan oleh onomasiologis, semasiologis, dan reduplikasi; (4) terdapat perbedaan wicara dan subdialek pada tataran fonologis. Pada tataran leksikal tidak terdapat perbedaan.

Abstract

The study aimed to discuss the implementation of teaching-learning Javanese language (fairy tale story) based on honest character education in the curriculum 2013. The type of this research is qualitative research with single case study approach. The results showed that teaching-learning Javanese language (fairy tale story) can instill honest character education through role playing learning model with scientific approach. The steps of learning model role playing with scientific approach include role playing activities based on observing activities, asking questions, gathering information, associate, try, and communicate.

Abstract

The Meaning of Pracimayasa Building Pura Mangkunegaran Surakarta is a study of cultural studies. The problem of research, how the significance signs of Pracimayasa building Pura Mangkunegaran Surakarta. Globalization moves on the spirit and morality in favor of the interests of material activity. Pracimayasa building as a cultural heritage building used as a commodity in the global era. Research using critical approach with theory of deconstruction supported the theory of visual communication semiotics. The study is expected to give an opportunity to develop the creativity of interpreting the text, the interior of the cultural heritage building. Data collection with observation techniques, interviews, document studies and literature.The results showed that Pracimayasa building is the residence of the palace family especially for keputren. The reality of the building's private sign Pracimayasa seen from the location of buildings that are protected from other buildings and adjacent to the core building. The reality of keputren can be seen from the type of space and visual form Pracimayasa building. As a family residence, Pracimayasa buildings included in territorial areas that are not easily accessible physically and etiquette, not all ethical people enter. Therefore Pracimayasa building as a family residence is a symbol of ethics and manners within the life of Java.

Abstract

Pasung Jiwa written by Okky Madasari is a novel that brings social issue of a character who strives for his soul freedom from the feeling of being a prisoner of his own social life. It is a very interesting sociological perspective novel to understand how the characters overcome their social problems. There are a lot of social realities presented in this novel such as bullying case, a case when parents impose their will to their children, sexual harrasment, soul searching,  voice to fight against violence and injustices for people who are being marginalized in their social life.

Abstract

The paper entitled “The interpretation of seat facility’s form and function in Karmawibhangga Relief of Borobudur Temple” was the result of the 1st stage of Competitive Grant Research entitled “The Development of Javanese Furniture Form as the Attempt of Solidifying and Preserving Local Culture in Surakarta”. The problem raised was what are form and function of seat facilities in Karmawibhangga Relief of Borobudur Temple including: (1) the form seems visually to be: bantalan (pad), amben kaki empat (four-leg bed), amben kaki enam (six-leg bed), amben kaki delapan (eight-bed bed), chair, and recess or throne. (2) The size of seat can be seen based on the strips forming a wide high plane, the form manifested intended to sitting in group or individually, social status, and material. (3) The furniture material can be seen based on size thickness and working technique indicating the presence of wood and stone material. (4) The technique used to finish the seat and to create profile indicated the presence of chiseling and lathing techniques. The seating had physical, personal, and social functions. The physical function of seat was manifested into form according to activity. The personal function of seat was manifested into the consideration of what for it is produced (intention of production) based on the difference of social status as could be seen in the different forms and size. The social function of seat was manifested into various complicated (ngrawit) forms, sizes, ornaments, and profile; the form was manifested proportionally between ornament, size, and technique indicating the presence of intellectuality in high art taste proving the presence of civilization.

Abstract

Pendet dance is ladies dance which has function as dancers who bring ritual offering for the ancestors and Gods. Pendet dance is one of the ceremonial dances known by Balinese people commonly used in piodalan ceremony.The process of education that is perceived to be able to answer market demand is the concept of 'collaboration' between formal and non-formal education namely potential exploration through self-actualization. The synergy between formal and non-formal education can be a medium in mapping self-potential. Thus this synergy is able to create harmony of 'balancing' in a person.Non formal education is becoming the standard in character education such as Pendet dance for early childhood. The purpose is to introduce the sense, function and education media that can be reference for and character education values because there is moral values in the dance, the notion in Tri Hita Karana.

Abstract

Kearifan lokal seni budaya dan pendidikan berbasis banjar merupakan dua satuan konsep yang mengacu pada komunitas. Pengembangan kearifan lokal tentang seni berbasis budaya melalui pendidikan berbasis komunitas banjar di Bali. Pengembangan semacam ini dimungkinkan karena banjar memiliki peran ganda, yaitu pakraman dan pasraman dalam kerangka tri hita karana. Banjar sebagai pakraman mengatur aktivitas sosial budaya, sedangkan sebagai pasraman mengatur aktivitas pendidikan. Pendidikan seni budaya sebagai upaya pengembangan kearifan lokal berlangsung dalam sekaa-sekaa kesenian berlandaskan prinsip ngayah. Prinsip yang menjadi intisari yadnya ini meletakkan aktivitas seni dan budaya sebagai pengabdian kepada alam, pelayanan kepada sesama, dan persembahan kepada Tuhan.
