Abstract

This study aims to explain and analyze the reading Sanad of tahfiz Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding Schools in South Kalimantan. This study uses a phenomenological approach as proposed by Alfred Schutz and Peter L Berger. The goal of the phenomenological approach is to understand everyone's beliefs, including the most controversial interpretations within the tradition. Phenomenology does not attempt to analyze or explain an event, but the basic concept of phenomenology is meaning. Based on the research findings, that in South Kalimantan, in general, the tahfiz Al-Qur'an boarding school received a channel for reading through the Al-Qur'an education they had previously attended, or the boarding school where they became students. Although there are some ustaz who are not willing to reveal the path of their reading chain, and some others do not yet have a reading chain. The dynamics of the sanad and the methods used in the tahfiz Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding school in South Kalimantan, are not much different from other regions. The talaqqi or encounter method, is the isnad line that is often used in every tahfiz Al-Qur'an boarding school in South Kalimantan, the genealogy of the Al-Qur'an reading owned by the teachers, was obtained from their previous kiai, that is, from the kiai at the Islamic boarding school where they recited and memorized the Qur'an previously, then passed it down by talaqqi to their students, of course, who have met the agreed conditions and become the rules for giving sanad at each tahfiz Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

The need for the right method is important in the practical teaching and learning (T&L) of Islamic education to create a positive impact in students and produce an ideal T&L. The T&L method used must be compatible with the measurement of the students so that the objectives are planned to produce maximum impact. Therefore, this article explores the T&L method that is often used by Islamic education teachers (IET) in implementing effective Islamic Education practices. The research methodology of this writing uses a qualitative study with a case study design conducted in seven secondary schools. Purposive and snowball sampling methods were used to select study participants and informants, namely seven study participants and 21 informants.Data collection through three instruments, namely interviews as core data triangulated with observation data and document analysis as supporting data.Verbatim data from interviews, observations, and analysis documents were analyzed in Nvivo20 software, finally becoming a model of Islamic education practical T&L method (MK-PAPI) after being validated by experts. The findings show that there are 11 practical T&L methods that are often practiced by IET, namely demonstrations; repetition; discussion; problem solving; simultaneously; presentation; questionnaire; memorization; collaboration; explanation or lecture; and direct application. It can be concluded that this model significantly supports the T&L process in the classroom, ultimately shaping students' personalities to consistently embody worship and virtue in their lives. With the methods outlined, it is expected to provide valuable insights and practical guidance for teachers, schools, and educational institutions in effectively preparing, planning, managing, and implementing practical T&L. This model has the potential to add substantial value to the educational journey, empowering educators and institutions to cultivate a systematic and impactful approach to T&L.

Abstract

Existentialism emphasizes the uniqueness of individuals and the importance of personal choice and responsibility. By applying existentialist philosophy to Islamic education, students can be empowered to take responsibility for their own learning and to engage with the deeper questions of life and spirituality. This paper examines the implications of applying existentialist philosophy to Islamic education, including the role of the teacher as a facilitator and guide rather than a strict authority figure, the importance of experiential learning and self-discovery, and the need to provide opportunities for students to explore and question their beliefs and values. The research method used in this study is literature review. This research will conduct a search and analysis of literature sources related to the application of existentialist philosophy in the development of Islamic education. The literature sources that will be used include books, scientific journals, articles, and official documents related to Islamic education and existentialist philosophy. The process of searching literature sources will be carried out using several online databases such as Google Scholar, JSTOR, ProQuest, and EBSCO. After the literature sources are found, the selection process will be carried out by identifying the relevance, credibility, and quality of the literature sources that will be used in this research. Research result, bringing depth to Islamic education through the application of existentialist philosophy can help students develop a stronger sense of identity, purpose, and meaning in their lives.
