The journal is pursues the academic exploration on Islamic education discourses in Southeast Asian schools, colleges, universities, and other Islamic educational institutions such as pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools). The journal promotes empirical research and theory relevant to Islamic affiliated educational institutions. The topics of the journal cover the micro, meso, and macro levels of Islamic education such as the philosophy of Islamic education, Islamic school leadership, and the politics of Islamic education. The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It was firstly published in 2013 (printed edition). Since Vol. 3, Issue 2 (December 2015), it has migrated gradually to an electronic journal system (Open Access). It is now a fully online journal, and since Vol. 8, No. 2 (December 2019) it only accepts manuscript submissions written in English or Arabic.

Abstract

This article focuses on the conceptual study of the blended learning model. This article also presents several studies from the online journal article and the findings of previous research from thesis and dissertations and textbooks relating to the theory of blended learning. As an effort to reformulate PAI learning, it is important to implement blended learning in the current digital era. Islamic religious education has a material source that is extensive and strategic for the progress of the Indonesian nation. With most Indonesia's population is the follower of Islam, Islamic religious education as millennial generation literacy is appropriate to be formulated under the development of digital technology. Islamic education can take a strategic role as the immunization of the young generation amidst the advancement of learning and innovation. Blended learning is one of them in future learning. Blended learning is one of the latest learning models that has been successfully applied to educational institutions. This study describes blended learning as an effort to reformulate PAI learning in the digital era 4.0. This study also aims to be a reference for further research. This research was conducted with the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method of various research findings and the findings of journal articles relating to the blended learning. The findings of the study showed that the principle of blended learning synergize a balanced combination between face-to-face and online learning. It can apply blended learning to PAI learning and is quite successful. Using technology will strengthen the conventional methods that commonly occur in PAI learning so that PAI learning is more effective and efficient. Some research states that blended learning has motivated students in learning, enables students to be more creative, more active, more participatory, more communicative, independent and able to solve problems in learning, improving learning outcomes. We can conclude it that the results regarding blended learning are having a positive impact on student development and also on learning outcomes.

Abstract

One of the visible forms of worship is reading, studying and practicing the contents of the Koran. The ability to read the Koran properly that is owned by a person will increase the enthusiasm to deepen it. Thus, fluency and accuracy in reciting the recitation of the Koran is very important for everyone, because it will lead to validity and failure of one's prayers, and also an encouragement to deepen the study of the Koran. This research was conducted at Lambung Mangkurat University in the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP), the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Medicine (FK). The focus of research on students' religious behavior is assessed by their ability to read the Koran by the behavior they display in their daily lives. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques. Data were collected using participant observation and dept interview techniques. The interview approach used was structured interviews and free interviews. The research was conducted for two months, (October-November, 2019). Data checking was carried out through focus group discussions. There are three categories that this research produces: first, students who have high quality; second, students who have medium quality; and third, have low quality in reading the Koran. The factors that become the difference in quality are caused by the influence of the family environment, the influence of the previous educational environment, and the influence of the community environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the steps of character education through the Al Qur`an SDIT Salsabila 8 Sleman tahfidz program, to identify the character values of Salsabila 8 Sleman SDIT students through the Al Quran tahfidz program, and to determine the evaluation of character education through the Al Quran tahfidz program. This study uses a qualitative descriptive study with data triagulation analysis techniques. To obtain information the researchers used interview, observation and documentation techniques with the subject of the teacher and the principal. Based on the results obtained: Steps in character education through learning the Koran tahfidz at SDIT Salsabila; 1) Preparing the teaching staff, 2) mapping the levels of students, 3) Grouping, 4) Making a schedule, 5) implementation. Implementation of character values that are applied through learning Tahfidz Al Qur'an at SDIT Salsabila 8 Sleman there are 18 characters, but there are 7 dominant character values that appear including: 1) Religion, 2) honest, 3) hard work, 4) fond of reading, 5) creative, 6) responsible, and 7) discipline. Evaluation of character learning through Al Quran tahfidz education at SDIT Salsabila 8 Sleman has been going well where students will be evaluated daily and at the end of the semester by examiners and controlled through achievement books.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how professional teachers of Islamic religious education subjects in the MIN 2 Model Samarinda. This research uses an emics perspective, which is trying to understand, internalize, and describe the professional image of the teacher according to the phenomena and data, so it is also called the phenomenological fact. Data Collection techniques using observations, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques to be used in this study, "descriptive analytic" and in qualitative research generally began since data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions or verification. The results of the study is that the teacher  is quite professional on the grounds that from the 11 indicators that are determined most have been able to be mastered/implemented well that is able to master the teaching materials, able to understand and interpret the results of educational research for the purposes of teaching, able to manage teaching programs, able to use the media and learning resources, able to plan teaching programs, able to manage the interaction of learning teaching, mastering various methods of teaching, able to recognize and organize the administration of the school (curriculum or learning administration), able to assess the achievement of students for the sake of teaching as well as the ability to master the education foundations, ability to know the functions and services of guidance and counseling that can not recognize children who have special characteristics and ability to manage classes Thus, the learning evaluation of teachers has the ability to assess students ' achievements for the sake of teaching. In this case the teachers of the most specific special PAI class in MIN 2 Model Samarinda have been able to assess well the proven list of values, group books, and analysis of the results are organized neatly and document the governance.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji korelasi keberagamaan (X) dan kompetensi kepemimpinan (Y) dari guru pendidikan agama Islam SMAN Samarinda (selanjutnya ditulis gpai) dalam menanamkan nilai Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin kepada warga sekolah. Ada 2 model orientasi keberagamaan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini, yaitu model orientasi keberagamaan intrinsik dan model orientasi keberagamaan ekstrisik. Sedangkan kompetensi kepemimpinan gpai terdiri atas 3 aspek utama, yaitu aspek pemahaman, aspek manajemen pelaksananaan,  dan aspek sikap dalam penanaman nilai demokratis, nilai toleransi, nilai humanis, dan nilai multi-kultural. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk mix methods kuantitatif-kualitatif model kombinasi (concurrent trianggulation) dengan 40 gpai yang tersebar pada 17 SMAN Samarinda sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data yang diperoleh memenuhi standar pengujian korelasi: nilai masing2 validitas > 0,2573 (df 38), reliabilitas dengan nilai >0,425, dan uji normalitas berdasarkan nilai Sig.0,816>0,05. Uji korelasi sederhana (X dan Y) menghasilkan perhitungan sebesar 0.280>r tabel 0,2638, sedangkan uji korelasi ganda dari model orientasi keberagamaan (X1,X2 dan Y) adalah sebesar 0,403>r tabel 0,263, dan korelasi dari beberapa dimensi model orientasi keberagamaan intrinsik  (X1.a, X1.b, dan Y) adalah sebesar  0,547> r tabel 0,263. Dan untuk korelasi dari dimensi model orientasi keberagamaan ekstrinsik (X2.a, X2.b, X2.c, X2.d, dan Y) adalah sebesar 0,314>r tabel 0,267. Berdasarkan analisis uji Sig.diketahui bahwa terdapat korelasi signifikan antara keberagamaan dan kompetensi kepemimpinan gpai dalam menanamkan nilai Islam rahmatan lil’alamin kepada warga SMAN se Kota Samarinda. Bahkan korelasi model orientasi keberagamaan intrinsik, yaitu  dimensi keyakinan dan dimensi pengalaman menunjukkan angka paling kuat tingkat korelasinya dengan kompetensi kepemimpinan gpai, yaitu sebesar 0,547 yang berarti > dari kriteri r table (df 38 = 0,2638) dan berkontribusi sebesar 29.92% terhadap kompetensi kepemimpinan dan sisanya 70.08% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar variabel tersebut.

Abstract

Di beberapa sekolah negeri dan swasta di Kabupaten Demak, terdapat beberapa permasalahan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam diantaranya adalah pengajaran yang masih dominan klasikal (ceramah), di beberapa madrasah dan sekolah rata-rata didominasi oleh guru yang usianya sudah tidak tergolong muda, siswa sering merasa bosan dan bahkan mengantuk ketika pembelajaran PAI, keaktifan siswa serta hasil belajar yang cenderung rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan: mendeskripsikan bagaimana implementasi pembelajaran fikih kelas X materi zakat berbasis multimedia pembelajaran interaktif – power point (macro-enabled) untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa MAS Miftahussalam Wonosalam Kabupaten Demak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ketika pembelajaran fikih pada materi zakat dilaksanakan di laboratorium komputer dengan menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif – power point (macro-enabled), terlihat semua siswa kelas X IPA tampak semangat sekali dan juga sangat antusias untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Namun karena jumlah komputer yang ada di laboratorium komputer hanya 23 buah sedangkan jumlah siswa kelas X IPA sebanyak 40 orang, maka siswa dibagi menjadi 20 kelompok dimana setiap kelompok terdiri dari 2 orang siswa untuk menggunakan1 komputer. Setelah melihat indikator keaktifan belajar siswa, multimedia pembelajaran interaktif ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Exploring, studying and practicing the values contained in the Qur'an is a must for every Muslim.  Al-Qur'an is an ocean of knowledge that will never run out to continue to be studied and the values contained therein to be practiced in everyday life. In this study the researcher focused on the educational values contained in the verses starting with “ياأيهاالنّاس”, which if we discuss and study, we will find so many educational values contained in these verses including the values of faith, morals and good manners, as well as social values that are very important to be learned and practiced by Muslims to become pious individually and socially. The purpose of this study is to discuss more deeply the educational values contained in the verses starting with “ياأيهاالنّاس”. The research approach used is to collect verses that begin with the “ياأيهاالنّاس”, then draw conclusions about the educational values contained therein through literacy studies or literature by referring to classical and contemporary Tafsir books and books education.

Abstract

National Examination is the assessment of learning outcomes by the government which aims to assess the achievement of national competency on specific subjects in the group of subjects in science and technology. The results are used as one of the considerations for mapping the program quality or the educational unit, as the basic selection to the next education level, determining students graduation, and giving scholarship for improving the quality of education. Panopticon was originally a concept of the prison building designed by English philosopher and social theorist Jeremy Bentham in 1785. The design concept was allowing a guard to watch  prisoners everywhere. Later, Panopticon not merely architectural designs, but he became a model of community supervision and discipline, which also applied today. Abstract

Learning system is a unity component that has connection each other to achieve the purpose wanted. But the focus of learning systems in this research is about theology and morals that has been submitted is not only to understood but also must be able to practiced. The purpose of this research to knows effect of boarding campus learning system to the strengthening of theology and morals college student of IAIN Samarinda. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population in this research is all college students of boarding campus IAIN Samarinda the academic year 2014/2015 that lives in dormitory with a number of 230 college campus. The sample in this research is 10% or 23 college student who is selected by simple random sampling technique. The data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interviews while data analysis techniques using the formula mean and multiple coefficient correlation product moment. The research results is known that the learning system of boarding campus, theology, and morals college students is calculated by the formula mean equally good, because it is in the same interpretation of mean is located in 3.410 - 4.200. In the analysis of multiple coefficient correlation product moment the value is gotten 0.454, and the hypothesis is accepted because the calculated value multiple coefficient correlation product moment greater than the value of r table is 0.454 > 0.413. As well as the formula multiple coefficient correlation product moment if 0.454 is interpreted that value lies in the 0.400 - 0.599 is considered influential enough. So the research results is there are influence of boarding campus learning system the strengthening of theology and morals IAIN students Samarinda. Based on the results obtained, the researchers recommend that boarding campus should increase religious learning system, especially dormitory increase the rules, and the college students should be able to pay attention and obey the rules of learning campus pesantren (boarding) well.

Abstract

Madrasah as one educational institution has a role in implementing character-based education. In order for the education to be carried out later to meet the expectations that have been proclaimed, it must be formulated early on how management or management should be done. For that reason, in this paper will be discussed specifically about the management of madrasah in organizing character-based education. Character-based madrasah management is the management of madrasah that always prioritizes the principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, dignity, service, quality, and growth in every component of its management.
