Abstract

This paper describes  problems pertaining teachers assigned in the rural areas in the whole Indonesia are inconvenient to work and leave the sites.  This paper argues that salient problems exist in terms of triviality field condition, performance motivation, incentive, and lax of implementation management.  Evidently, policy made by the decision makers in upper to the lower level of policy makers contributes ineffective supports of  teachers’ needs and necessities in the sites.  The effectiveness of Law on Teacher and Lecturer is problematic stipulated for the teachers problems in rural and remote areas.

Abstract

This study describes English Language Education Curriculum (ELEC) of Balitar Islamic University delineating needs analysis, tracer study and action plan that is devised considerably upon National Qualification Framework. The study used content analysis implementing qualitative approach.  Data were collected from curriculum document, strategic plan of UNISBA, workshop, and Focus Group Discussion conducted at UNISBA for two-month visit.  The study revealed that (1)  ELEC has been organized in adherence to KKNI containing 144 credits, (2) semesterly course distribution is outlined into: 20 credits each in the first and second semester, 22 credits each in the third up to sixth semester, and 16 credits in seventh semester, (3) diploma supplement as subsequent competency is programmed in terms of workshop in academic literacy, TEFL, enterpreheneurship, IT and computer, and academic writing, (4) competency elements are categorized into:  personality development (KPK), work skill (KKK), expertise and knowledge (KKP), methods and knowledge degree (KMK), and managerial skills (KKM) imposed by KKNI.

Abstract

Salah satu pembelajaran IPA adalah biologi. Kompetensi biologi yang ingin dicapai pada kurikulum saat ini yaitu berhakikat IPA. Oleh karena itu diperlukan bahan ajar berupa modul berhakikat IPA, yaitu modul berbasis kontekstual diintegrasikan dengan Learning cycleBerdasarkan observasi di lapangan, wawancara dengan guru biologi kelas XI IPA 3 di SMA Laboratorium UM Malang, didapatkan bahwa guru masih belum mamahami proses pembelajaran sesuai KI dan KD. Bahan ajar yang dimiliki belum merangsang pola pikir peserta didik berhubungan dengan permasalahan-permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menjelaskan teknik penyusunan modul sistem ekresi manusia bermodel PBL berbasis kontruktivisme. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan , adapun tahap-tahap nya sebagai berikut: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3)Develope. Penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana menyusun modul PBL dengan materi sistem ekskresi manusia berbasis kontruktivisme. Penelitian ini masih pada tahap kedua yaitu tahap perancangan. Lokasi penelitian di SMA Laboratorium Malang. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa sistematika modul disesuikan dengan langlah PBL, kontruktivisme dengan indikator yang di digunakan.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the skills to express simple descriptive monologue in oral English. The study used a class action research design with three cycles.  Conducted in SMPN 1 Karangploso, Malang in September to November 2013, this study assigned 32 students of grade VII as the subject. Data were collected using observation, interview and document. The study revealed that (1) the use of the ICARE system improved skills to express simple monologue descriptive in oral English at level of literacy; (2) characteristics of oral English after ICARE was treated showed an increase showing the use of precise pronunciation, appropriate word choice and grammatical sentences, and (3) students were fluent and felt confidence to express orally simple descriptive monologue.

Abstract

 This article is a review of literature on pre-school persepectives and intelligent quotient.   Essentially, intelligent quotient is not a sole measurement of successful or failure of children in the future. In general, intelligent includes: intelligent quotient, emotional quotient, and spiritual intelligent. In the development that follows, Charles Spearman, Thurstone, and Gardner discovered theory on multiple intelligence. The theory identifies that intelligent covers seven dimentions, including: (1) linguistic, (2) music, (3) mathematics logic, (4) visual-spatial, (5) kinestetic-physic, (6) social-interpersonal, and  (7) intra-personal.  Multiple intelligent is now increasing and provides broader analysis on the interpretation of human behavior and successfulness.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to see learning process using LCC model for chemistry course.  The study used classroom action research with three cycles each of which implements planning, acting, observing and reflection.  Subject of the study was 40 students of grade 8E of MTsN Blitar in the academic year 2009/2010. The findings of the study are as follows:  (1) Cycle I:  students participation 62.5%, mean score of worksheet 60, mean score of quiz 41,7, and mastery learning 3 students; (2) Cycle II: students participation 86.6%, mean score of worksheet 81, mean score of quiz 72.38, and mastery learning 26 students; (3) Cycle III:  students participation 100%, mean score of worksheet 89, mean score of quiz 72.44, and mastery learning 39 students.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze relationship between perception in implementing TGT, Reward and Punishment techniques, learning motivation toward learning achievement in Civic education subject. The study took place in SDN I Ngrejo Tulungagung assigning the 34 fifth graders. This study used correlational design and data were collected using questionnaire and test. Data were analyzed using multiple regression techniques. The study found that (1) positive relationship between TGT, reward and punishment and learning achievement exists at .946; (2) positive relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement is .965; (3) positive relationship altogether between TGT, reward and punishment, and learning motivation towards learning achievement is .844.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to see reasons of learning obstacles on learning process and practicum of basic chemistry course in relation with practicum and mastery of the theory.  The study used descriptive design and collected data using test and questionnaire. The study assigned 40 students of biology Class at UNISBA. The study revealed that problems on learning basic chemistry is the mastery of teaching materials. Percentage of the problems is contributed in trems of: (1) practicum process 53.29%, (2) teaching process 66.26%, and (3) practicum implementation 66.26%.  On social factor, statistically contributes problems up to 66.15%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe steps to revitalize traditional sports to become sports for all for Dayak Society in Central Kalimantan.  The study used qualitative approach implementing phenomenology aspiring perception of athletes of the traditional sports.  The study was conducted in July to December 2015 invomving informants from social heads, traditional heads, sportmen, sport teachers, students majoring in sports and public.  Data were collected using participatory observation and an indepth interview. Data were analyzed using qualitative procedures: collecting, reduction, classification and conclusion drawing.  The study revealed that the best model to internalize and sustain traditional sports to become sport for all for Dayak Traditional Sports in Central Kalimantan includes: conducting festivals, tournaments, and inducing traditional sports in the local curriculum across school levels.

Abstract

Setiap program kegiatan, baik program pendidikan maupun non pendidikan, seharusnya diikuti dengan kegiatan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan bertujuan untuk menilai apakah suatu program terlaksana sesuai dengan perencanaan dan mencapai hasil sesuai yang diharapan atau belum. Permasalahan-permasalahan yang terkait dengan evaluasi yang diberikan kepada siswa sebagai alat ukur untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan peserta didiknya dalam memahami konsep materi yang telah diajarkan. Dari observasi ditemukan bahwa evaluasi yang diberikan kepada peserta didik kurang memiliki validitas yang tinggi, evaluasi kurang reliabilitas, evaluasi masih dipengaruhi oleh faktor subyektif sehingga evaluasi kurang bersifat obyektif, serta evaluasi kurang memiliki praktikabilitas yang tinggi.Perlu adanya peningkatan peran guru dalam melakukan evaluasi dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi program MS. Excel termodifikasi untuk menghitung analisis ulangan. Dengan aplikasi ini, guru dapat dengan memudah mendapatkan hasil analisis nilai ulangan hanya dengan menginputkan data nilai.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan peran guru dalam menyusun evaluasi pembelajaran. Pada siklus I keberhasilan guru dalam menyusun evaluasi pembelajaran secara individu mencapai 79% atau ada 11 guru yang berhasil menyusun evaluasi pembelajaran secara individu. Sedangkan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan dan mencapai 86.67% atau ada 12 guru yang berhasil menyusun evaluasi pembelajaran secara individu.
