Abstract

A fact that there are many prayer times schedules that are used by the community with each other different contents. Among these schedules there are mentioned sources of extraction or constituents but many are not mentioned. One schedule with another schedule is different from 2 or 3 minutes, even more than that can reach tens of minutes. In this study, it was explained that the differences in the results of the calculation of prayer time schedules in North Sumatra were caused by several factors including differences in data used such as: coordinates, sun declination, equation of time, solar height, energy and factors caused by regional time correction, such as differences between Prayer time schedule in Labuhan Batu Selatan regency is calculated using the location of the place, with the prayer time schedule in Labusel Regency counted using Regional Time Correction with Medan City markaz (-5 minutes).Keywords: Differences, Prayer Times.

Abstract

The issue of the initial stipulation of the month (especially Ramadan, Shawwal and Zulhijah) in Indonesia to this day has not ended. One reason for the problem of defining the new moon. Admittedly in Indonesia there are a variety of views and opinions regarding the definition of the new moon which between one another seems contradictory. Nahdlatul Ulama defines the hilal to be visible (ruukyat), Muhammadiyah defines enough by reckoning, and the Ministry of Religion (Government) defines the possibility of being seen (let rukyat). Each of these views has advantages and disadvantages, and each of them has a syar'i's basic foundation and their respective knowledge.Keywords: Hilal, Beginning of The Month, Reckoning

Abstract

The fact that the Koran is a divine word, has always been a magnet in itself for Muslims to always explore God's guidance in it. Scholars and scientists from various disciplines in every age have read it from various aspects. However, the Koran always proves that he will not be discussed by humans, not bound by place and time. One feature of reading the Koran is the interpretation approach. Abstract

Ilmu falak adalah disiplin ilmu yang mengkaji tentang benda-benda langit, khususnya bulan dan matahari. Bagi umat Islam, ilmu falak berperan setidaknya dalam tiga hal yaitu (1) menentukan waktu-waktu salat, (2) menentukan arah kiblat, dan (3) menentukan awal bulan qamariyah, khususnya dalam menetapkan puasa dan hari raya. Tiga hal ini merupakan persoalan ijtihad yang membuka ruang perbedaan pendapat berdasarkan cara telaah dan argumentasi masing-masing.

Abstract

معرفة جهة الكعبة بالدقة الصحيحة أمر مهم عند المسلمين, خصوصا في الصلاة. لأن استقبال القبلة شرط من شروط صحة الصلاة. قسم الفقهاء طرق تحديد القبلة إلى ثلاثة أقسام, منها سمائية و أرضية و هوائية. و لكن في مجال عام, قسم الفلكيون طرق تحديد القبلة إلى قسمين, و هما سمت القبلة و رصد القبلة. و مما يلفت النظر أن هناك طريقة التي أنشأها الشيخ محمد نووي بن عمر البنتني و هي غريبة بأن تكون قبلة أهل جاوي بستّ و عشرين درجة من الغرب إلى الشمال. و تطبيقها بالنقود المصفوفة و بالبوصلة التي فيها الجهات الأربع و جهات مهاب الرياح.هذه تكون نقطة الانطلاق و مثابة المبدأ ليجرب الباحث تحليل عن هذه الطريقة و تطبيقها لمعرفة دقتها في وقتنا الحاضر. و أن هذا البحث لتعمق و تبخر خزائن العلوم الفلكية الكلاسيكية. فبالطبع أن الغرض من هذا البحث : 1) كيف طريقة الشيخ نووي البنتني في تحديد القبلة؟ 2) كيف دقة طريقة الشيخ نووي البنتني في تحديد القبلة حيث علم الفلك الحديث ؟في هذه الدراسة تستخدم مناهج البحث كالآتي : 1) منهج جمع البيانات للحصول على البيانات المطلوبة في هذه الدراسة يستخدم الباحث مكتبة بحث (Library Research) . 2) و أيضا لم يتخلف أن أجري على المقابلة (Interview) إلى الفلكيين و الفقهاء. 3) و طرق تحليل البيانات, بالتحليل النوعي. و المضمون (content analisis),  وبتحليل المقارن.

Abstract

Kalender Islam global sebagai kalender hijriah berdasarkan lunasi bulan yang berfungsi tidak saja untuk kehidupan sivil tetapi juga sekaligus untuk tujuan-tujuan keagaan Islam. Kalender global Islam juga bukan kalender zonal, melainkan kalender yang berlandasakan prinsip satu hari satu tanggal di seluruh dunia agar dapat menepatkan jatuhnya waktu ibadah umat Islam, khususnya hari puasa Arafah yang pelaksanaannya di suatu tempat terkait dengan peristiwa di tempat lain. Oleh karena itu pemikir kalender Islam di Indonesia karenanya tidak memadai lagi berdebat tentang kalender lokal, tetapi sebaliknya harus memberi perhatian kepada perumusan sistem penanggalan yang bersifat global (lintas kawasan) agar dapat dan dalam rangka mengupayakan penyatuan hari ibadah umat Islam. Upaya ini juga menjadi modal negosiasi ke dunia Islam lainnya, khususnya kepada pemerintah Arab Saudi, guna menyatukan jatuhnya hari-hari besar Islam di seluruh dunia, khususnya hari Arafah yang sangat penting bagi umat Islam karena merupakan hari ibadah. Lebih dari itu, upaya ini juga memberi kontribusi kepada peradaban Islam yang dalam usia hampir 1,5 milenium belum mempunyai kalender terunifikasi.

Abstract

Syaikh Zubair Umar al-Jailany (w. 1411 H/1990 M) adalah akademisi dan pakar falak terkenal di Indonesia. Karya monumentalnya dalam bidang ini adalah buku berjudul“Al-Khulashah al-Wafiyah”.Buku ini menggunakan prinsip ‘heliosentris’ yang sampai sekarang masih diakui kebenaran ilmiahnya. Selain itu, konsep dan pemikiran hisab Syaikh Zubair Umar al-Jailany juga menggunakan prinsip astronomi Modern, dan masih menggunakan bahasa Arab. Pemikiran hisab Syaikh Zubair merupakan corak baru yang pada waktu berikutnya banyak dicangkok oleh pemikiran hisab yang ada di Indonesia, seperti pemikiran hisab Noor Ahmad SS dalam “Nurul Anwar”, “Al-Maksyuf” karya Amad Soleh Cirebon, “Ittifaq Dzatil Bain” karya Muhammad Zubair Abdul Karim Gresik, dan lainnya. Oleh karena itu, pemikiran Syaikh Zubair Umar al-Jailany sangat mempengaruhi dan memberikan corak dalam khazanah perkembangan hisab di Indonesia.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mencoba untuk melacak dan menjelaskan metode penentuan awal bulan Hijriah yang dipraktikkan oleh pengikut Abu Peuleukung Nagan Raya provinsi Aceh. Praktik penetapan 1 Ramadhan, 1 Syawal dan 10 Zulhijah yang selalu berbeda dengan kebanyakan masyarakat di Indonesia menggerakkan hati penulis untuk mengkaji lebih dalam tentang metode apa yang dipakai oleh pengikut Abu Peuleukung Nagan raya dalam menetapkan hari-hari besar Islam, khususnya 1 Ramadhan, 1 Syawal dan 10 Zulhijah. Berdasarkan data yang diambil dari media massa yang mempublikasikan tentang praktik penetapan 1 Ramadhan, 1 Syawal dan 10 Zulhijah pengikut Abu Peuleukung Nagan Raya dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode yang dipakai selama ini adalah hisab ‘urfi yang lebih dekat dengan metode hisab ‘urfi khumasi.

Abstract

The Cemetery conditions in Ponteh Village, Galis Sub district, Pamekasan Regency do not appear in line and seem messy both from the shaf rows and the kiblah direction of the  cemetery. In this article there are two main issues that are the focus of the problem. First, how is the method of determining the burial Kiblah direction at the Cemetery of Ponteh Village, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency. And second, how is the accuracy of the burial Kiblah direction in the Cemetery of Ponteh Village, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency. The location of this study is in three cemeteries in Ponteh Village, Galis District. The method used is qualitative phenomenological approach in the form of descriptive analysis. Research data obtained from interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show; (1) The method used by the community in determining the cemetery kiblah direction is by estimating and beliefs based solely on feelings called the taqribī method by facing westward and then slightly tilted to the north. There is also an excavation of the burial ground following the direction of the cemetery location and the position of the burial ground located next to it. Second, according to the calculation result of Islamic astronomy, the direction of the cemetery Ajih 66º 9 '53.7 "(N-W), the Cemetery of Bângger 66º 9' 50.87" (N-W), and the Cemetery of Kaèl 66º 9 '48.93 "(N –W). The accuracy analysis result of the Kiblah direction of each cemetery which samples are 50 tombs in groups obtained was the cemetery that using data according to the calculation of Kiblah, for Ajih Cemetery 3 graves (6%), Bânger's cemetery 6 graves (12%) and Kaèl zero graveyard (0% ). Less to the north of 1 ° -5 °, the Ajih cemetery 14 graves (28%), Bânger cemetery are 26 graves (52%) and Kaèl cemetery are 11 graves (22%). Less to the south 1 ° -5 ° less to the south, Ajih Cemetery 2 graves (4%), the Bârger Cemetery 3 graves (6%) and the Kaèl cemetery is nil (0%). Deviation of 6 ° -10 ° less to the north, Ajih cemetery is zero graveyard (0%), Bânger Cemetery are 3 graves (6%) and Kaèl cemetery is zero (0%). Deviations from 6 ° -10 ° to the south, for Ajih Cemetery 30 graves (60%), the Bânger cemetery are 11 graves (22%) and the Kaèl cemetery  are 14 graves (28%). And those which stray northward 10 ° and above are not found in all the camps. However, the deviation of the Kiblah direction of more than 10 ° to the south was found in the Ajih cemetery and Bânger cemetery, each with 1 grave (2%), and the Kaèl cemetery 25 graves (50%)

Abstract

A day without shadows is a day when the sun is right above (zenith), objects that are perpendicular to the sun and the entire plane of matter will be parallel to the direction of sunlight, so the object will not form a shadow around the object. This phenomenon occurs along with the artificial journey of the sun every year from south to north and vice versa from north to south. The sun will transit right above (zenith) cities in Indonesia. For the city of Medan, the phenomenon of days without bans is estimated to occur twice a year, namely every March 29 and October 2. This phenomenon occurs at midday, when the declination of the sun reaches 03 ° 34 ', equal to the value of the latitude of the city of Medan (03 ° 34' LU).
