Abstract

One of the problems faced by students in understanding about the story so often make mistakes, misinterpretation of the language, the students' mistakes in turning about the story (applied) mathematics in the form of everyday language. Of these problems, this research aimed (1) to describe the use of a wide variety of language diction about the story in the field of Mathematics from secondary school and (2) to describe the effective use of a wide variety of language sentences about the story in the field of study Mathematics. This study used a qualitative approach that is descriptive. From the research result, the use of diction lack of proper consists of four things, namely: (1) using less careful in the choice of concept or meaning of the word, (2) usingless careful in the choice of the form of words, (3) usingless accurate in the choice of language diversity, and (4) using less careful in the choice of function words, and phrases that are less effective include five things, namely: (1) using a sentence that is less possess integrity, (2) using a sentence that is less economical or less saving, (3) using the phrase is ambiguous, (4) using a sentence that is less aligned, and (5) using the phrase is less logical.

Abstract

A research on novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala employed a literary psychological study focusing on literary work as a mental activity (conflict of characters) requiring a holistic analysis to interpret meaning, mandate, and message contained within it. Novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala featured several conflicts affecting its characters’ personality. The conflicts featured in this novel were very complex, either inner conflict or conflict with other characters as human mentality process eventually affecting attitude and conduct. The approach used in this study was descriptive qualitative one. The data of research constituted words, sentence in the form of expression, and dialog between characters indicating the mentality conflict occurring inside the characters on which this study focused. Meanwhile the data source of research was source document, such as books of literary theory, literary psychology and novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling one. Technique of collecting data used in qualitative research was interactive and non-interactive in nature. This study employed theoretical, source or data, and methodological triangulations. Technique of analyzing data used in this research was an interactive analysis one encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The procedure of research included preparation, implementation and presentation of research result. The psychological aspect of character existing in novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala employed Sigmund Freud’s theory distinguishing personality into three types: ide, Ego, and Superego. Literary psychological research was based on these three psychological domains. In novel Genesis, the author had the reason why she featured a nun represented as capable of providing positive nuance to readers’ perception on a nun submitting her entire life to God and avoided from the author’s determination as if she wanted to confirm that every human being encountering problem in his/her life should submit to his/her fate, submit everything to God’s destiny and get closer to God. Pawestri disentangled her tension in her life by deciding to be a nun as the form of her submission to God because she could not retain burden of her past memories, the reason why she preferred living celibate.

Abstract

The specificity of language in fairy tales were characterized by an unusual choice of words when viewed from the practical language. The form of election irregularity words or diction, sentence structure, and style of the language. Based on the above background, the purpose of this study was to describe (1) the use of diction, (2) the structure of the sentence, and (3) the dominant language styles are used in the bookof5 Benua Classic FablebyDamayanti. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. This research resulted in, (1) the use of diction include: (a) the common word, (b) the special word, (c) the meaning of denotation, and (d) the connotations. (2) The use of sentence structure includes: (a)thesingle sentence, (b) thecompound sentence, (c)theactive sentence, and (d) the passive voice. (3) The use of language dominant force include: (a) stylistic comparisons include: personification, anticipation or prolepsis, and aleogori manifold fable; (B) the language style of contention include: hyperbole, climax and anticlimax; (C) the language style of engagement include: antonomasia and epithets; and (d) the language style looping include: anaphora and epistrofa.

Abstract

This research was leading to the struggle of life main character in the novel that is Eva in the novel of Bidadari Terakhir byAgnes Davonar. This novel inspired women to be a strong woman and full of sacrifice in accepting one's fate inherlife. Author elaboratedwell be difficult life they experienced. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to describe (1) the character of Eva and (2) the struggle of feminism figure in the novel of Bidadari Terakhir by Agnes Davonar. The method used in this studywasa descriptive qualitative. This research resulted in two things: (1) concerning the character of Eva, of the characters that appear in each quote gives a great overview over the difficulties of life to affect her character, women are tough and full of sacrifice, (2) of the struggle of character Eva in the novel of Bidadari Terakhir by Agnes Davonar, Eva efforts in alleviating the economic burden of the family is to decide to work as a prostitute even though her family did not know her work, starting from the encounter with Rasya, Eva got a job that is more humane.

Abstract

The fun learning in literature can be designed with the teacher perceives the students as a creative individual. Teachers did not do much doctrinal. Teacher more facilitated the students to want to know several things. Teacher guides the students to discover the answer for students’ questions. From theorists and empirical studies, literary fun learning can be designed as follows. First, using the environment as a potential medium for learning literature. For example, when appreciating a short story with a theme of peace of life, set in the countryside according to the environment students. Second, the themes that have adapted to a child's development, such as the themes of love. With the theme that the students could be invited to sit in the garden in a regular position. Students can talk at length about love, flowers, butterflies, beetles, beauty, peace, engrossing, because the problems of love are part of it. Third, a variety of learning are needed in teaching literature. To enjoy valuable religious poetry, students could be invited to the mosque or prayer room of the school. Teachers and students discussed the "taste" and relaxed about the religiosity that is contained in the poem we choose. Students couldtalk about God, revelation, book, nature, destiny, fate, and the like. Utilization background was absolutely in the learning environment. The themes that were being faced by the students in making student life easier and appreciates creative writing. Therefore, 'mood condition the students' learningwasthe key to literary fun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskrepsikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman teks pembaca, sebelum membaca kumpulan cerpen SAIA karya Djenar Maesa Ayu. Data penelitian ini adalah tanggapan pembaca kumpulan cerpen SAIA karya Djenar Maesa Ayu yang sumber datanya berjumlah sepuluh pembaca awam. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik simak (lampiran data berupa pembaca awam dari internet) dan teknik pencatatan (lembar korpus data). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengetahuan dan pengalaman kesepuluh pembaca itu sama yaitu membaca semua karya Djenar Maesa Ayu. Ditemukan bahwa pengetahuan dan pengalaman pembaca awam yang sama telah membaca karya-karya Djenar termasuk kumpulan cerpen SAIA ini.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan siswa kelas XI MAN I Kota Sungai Penuh dalam menulis, khususnya menulis karya ilmiah. Rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam menulis karya ilmiah, disebabkan penggunaan strategi belajar yang kurang tepat. Strategi belajar kooperatif tipe Group Investigation diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan yang ditemukan siswa dan guru sehingga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis karya ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses peningkatan keterampilan siswa menulis karya ilmiah melalui strategi belajar kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Pelaksanaan penelitian terdiri atas tiga siklus penelitian. Satu siklus penelitian dilakukan tiga kali pertemuan (3x45 menit). Tindakan tiap siklus didasarkan pada hasil refleksi siklus sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi belajar kooperatif tipe Group Investigation menyebabkan proses pembelajaran menulis menjadi lebih efektif dan menyenangkan. Hal ini, tampak pada hasil belajar siswa yakni saat pra siklus siswa yang mencapai KKM 1 orang dari 31 dan pada siklus 1 siswa yang mencapai KKM 6 orang dari 31. Pada siklus kedua jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM ada 18 orang dari 31 orang. Siklus ketiga seluruh siswa mampu mencapai KKM. Faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan keterampilan siswa menulis karya ilmiah adalah penggunaaan strategi belajar kooperatif tipe Group Investigation.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia bukan hanya diarahkan pada penguasaan kompetensi gramatikal melainkan juga harus diarahkan pada penguasaan kompetensi sosiolinguistik kompetensi wacana, dan kompetensi strategi. Untuk menguasai kompetensi-kompetensi tadi diperlukan strategi yang tepat dalam pembelajaran bahasa. Salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah Strategi Belajar Bahasa, Strategi Belajar Bahasa adalah tindakan spesifik yang diambil oleh pelajar untuk membuat belajar lebih mudah, lebih cepat, lebih menyenangkan, lebih mandiri, lebih efektif, dan lebih dapat dialihkan kepada situasi baru.Permasalahan yang ada dijawab melalui penelitian kepustakaan (libraryresearch). Data-data dikumpulkan dari berbagai referensi; baik primer, sekunder, maupun data pendukung. Data-data yang ada dianalisis dengan pendekatan hermeneutik dengan cara content analysis (analisis isi). hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada 12 karakteristik/ fitur dalam strategi belajar bahasa. dan Strategi Belajar Bahasa itu sendiri meliputi : Strategi Langsung (strategi memori, strategi kognitif, strategi kompensasi), 2. Strategi Tidak Langsung (strategi metakognitif, strategi afektif, dan strategi sosial).

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan aspek bahasa, aspek religi, sosial, serta aspek politik dalam novel Ranggalawe : Mendung di Langit Majapahit karya Gesta Bayuadhy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif hermeneutika, sedangkan sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah berupa novel Ranggalawe: Mendung di Langit Majapahit karya Gesta Bayuadhy. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini ialah (1) bahasa yang digunakan dalam Novel Ranggalawe: Mendung di Langit Majapahit Karya Gesta Bayuadhy ialah bahasa Jawa senapa dan bahasa Indonesia, (2) aspek Religi masyarakat jawa yang terdapat dalam novel Ranggalawe: Mendung di Langit Majapahit Karya Gesta Bayuadhy ialah penganut kepercayaan Hindu Budha, (3) aspek sosial dalam novel Ranggalawe: Mendung di Langit Majapahit Karya Gesta Bayuadhy ialah para tokoh dalam novel ini tidak semuanya memiliki sosial yang baik dan tinggi seperti raja Wilwatikta Dyah Wijaya dan Sahasika, ada pula yang tokoh yang memiliki sosial rendah seperti Halayudha, yang terlalu mementingkan kepentingan pribadi sehingga menimbulkan perang saudara.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah (1) mendskripsikan aktifitas guru, (2) mendeskripsikan aktifitas siswa yang berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran dan hasil akhir pembelajaran, dan (3) mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis puisi dengan model pembelajaran TANDUR. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Yang dimaksud dengan metode kualitatif adalah metode yang bermaksud untuk memahami fenomena tentang apa yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian misalnya perilaku, motivasi, tindakan dan lain-lain dengan cara deskriptif dalam bentuk kata-kata dan bahasa, pada suatu konteks khusus yang alamiah dan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai metode alamiah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aktifitas guru dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran memperoleh kreiteria sangat baik dengan persentase skor 94,55%. Aktifitas siswa dalam proses menulis pantun terbilang sangat baik dengan perolehan skor 90% dan hasil kerja siswa dikategorikan baik dengan persentase skor 84%. Adapun peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa sebesar 9%.
