Abstract

Mathematics is one of the primary lessons learned at every level of education, from elementary school, high school, even college. This indicates that mathematics plays an important role and should be controlled by each individual. Constructivist learning approach Needham model is expected to condition the student in order to achieve the expected competencies. Problems in mathematical learning approach Needham Model Kostruktivisme appear mainly on the second and third stages of learning. Students difficulty of building their own knowledge because students are accustomed briefed directly by the teacher. As a result, the learning approach Needham Model Kostruktivisme become dull and tiresome. So that the learning objectives can not be achieved optimally. As a problem-solving strategies, the authors offer the following solutions: (1) The condition of learning in groups, (2) the use of props, (3) applying the principle of realistic approach.

Abstract

Based on the results of observation on the odd semester XI F class of SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung 2014/2015 in mind that learning process in the classroom is still using methods lectures so students tend to be passive. To resolve the issue, so researchers are looking for solutions to change the model of learning so that they can create an atmosphere of active learning, and improve learning outcomes i.e. cooperative learning model type with Jigsaw. The purpose of this research is to increase the activity and results of the study of biology students through the application of cooperative learning model type of Jigsaw. This research was carried out on the student class XI F class of Bandar Lampung on the odd semester lesson 2014/2015. This research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 x meeting. Data collection techniques data obtained from the learning activities of students through observational learning. The data of this research consists of studying aspects of activity data: pay attention to the teachers explanation, discuss in groups, noting the results of the discussion and the timeliness of the discussion. Student learning outcomes data retrieved from the ultimate test on each end of cycle 1, 2 and 3 cycles. Data analysis activities by way of diskriptif. Data analysis the results of the study in a descriptive manner and percentage. The results of the analysis of the data shows that the model of cooperative learning, Jigsaw can increase the activity of the type as well as the results of learning biology students. The average percentage of students learning activities increased. From cycle 1, amounting to 12.06 (less active) to cycle 2 rose to 14.02 (less active), and increased again in cycle 3 of 16.08 (active). The average of the results of learning students also experience increased with the percentage comprehensively on cycle 1, of 69,27% to 72,10% (rising 8,42%) in cycle 2 and cycle 3 be 73,45% (rising 1.87%).

Abstract

The research objective to be achieved are: to determine the increase mathematics achievement in aspects of learning fractions by using props in the second grade students of SD Negeri 3 Kemiling Bandar Lampung Regency Kota Permai academic year 2014/2015. Forms of research in this thesis using the draft action research. While the population in the study were used in this study was grade II SD Negeri 3 Kemiling Permai academic year 2014/2015. with a total population of some 32 students. As for the sample in this study there are entire populations in grade II SD Negeri 3 Kemiling Permai the number of 32 students. In collecting the data, the methods used are basic methods which include test methods, observation and documentation. Test method is used to get the students learning achievement after getting instruction cycle I and cycle II., Observational methods used to determine the condition of the school, the condition of the current students to get good teaching in cycle I, and II, methods of documentation used to determine the name of research respondents. To test the validity of the data used triangulation of data, and triangulation methods. In the process of analysis, there are three components that must be realized by the researchers. The three components are: 1) Data reduction; 2) data presentation, 3) conclusion or verification Based on the results and discussion can be seen that. 1. The average value of mathematics learning achievement of third grade students in the first cycle by 67, the second cycle of 76 so there is a rise in value - average of the first cycle to the second cycle 2. Percentage of mastery learning students in the first cycle shows the figure of 60.97% (25 students completed the study of all participants 41 students), in the second cycle of 97.6% (students completed the study of all the participants of 32 students). Thus there is an increasing mastery learning students from the first cycle to the second cycle. Based on the above, it can be made a conclusion as follows: Through the props can improve mathematics achievement in grade II SD country 3 Kemiling Permai academic year 2014/2015.

Abstract

Democracy in the realm of education is the idea on a view of life that promotes the rights and obligations as well as equal treatment for all citizens in the process of education. In the process, the education demanded to realize dynamic developing critical and creative human beings who are able to adapt to the surrounding environment. Islamic education in a democracy is a must, because in Islam itself contains the values ​​of the democratic principle it self. Islamic education puts the human position proportionally democratic nature of Islamic education here. From this democratic educational practices born intellectuals and great scholars who think freely. It is important to draw up a clear concept about the implementation of democratic education in Islamic religious education, which is implicated in the curriculum, the role of the teacher, the role of learners, learning, and evaluation of Islamic religious education.

Abstract

In general, mathematics is a subject that is considered difficult and disliked by students. Students do not like math because it was difficult to follow. Therefore the mathematics learning outcomes are not as expected. The aim of this study is Improving math learning activities and results of fourth grade students at SDN 1 Sumberejo District of Kemiling. This study uses a Class Action Research (PTK). Planned implementation two cycles each cycle consists of four phases: Planning, Acting, Observing, Reflecting. Action Research (PTK) was conducted at SDN 1 Sumberejo Class IV in the second half in the school year 2014/2015 the number of students 20 consists of 6 female students and 14 male students Application Cooperative Learning of TAI model’s can improve student Learning Activities and Results of Operations discussion on the subject of class IV SDN Calculate Numbers 1 Sumberejo. This indicated an increase in each cycle with the details as follows: for the percentage of students learning activity first cycle (40%) and the second cycle (100%). Improved student learning outcomes indicated by the increasing percentage of mastery learning is at the first cycle (60%), Cycle II (85%)

Abstract

This experimental research is conducted at SMP Kristen Kalam Kudus Surakarta, from December 2011 to June 2012. The sample of the research is two classes; one class is treated as experimental class taught by using visual auditory kinestetic and one classis treated as control class taught by using direct instruction. Each of them consisted of 28 students. The data are in the form of quantitative data that are taken from reading test. The data of reading test are used to know the students’ reading ability. The data of reading test are the scores of students’ reading test that was administered after having eight times treatments for each class. The researcher analyzes the data using t-test formula (SPSS for windows 17.0). Based on the result of data analysis, the research finding states that visual auditory kinesteticis more effective than direct instruction to teach reading for Junior High School students. Based on these research findings, it can be concluded that visual auditory kinesteticis an effective method to improve students’ reading ability. Ideally, visual auditory kinestetic has to be implemented in the class in order to achieve optimal result. By applying this method, the teachers have some roles. They are guiding, motivating,monitoring and help the students when they are doing some activities about reading. It can help the Junior High School students to become more independent, strategic and motivated readers.

Abstract

Difficulties in the learning process of students art is not like the art lessons and teachers have not been able to raise student motivation, especially in the choice of teaching methods. To that end, the authors conducted a classroom action research in SMPN 14 Bandar Lampung in September-November 2014 through contextual learning model. The object of this study were students of class VII-3 amounted to 37 people. PTK includes: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Quantitative data collection is done through student worksheets and post test. Qualitative data collection activities conducted by observation, interviews, and student attitude scale. Results of the analysis of the data shows contextual learning model can improve student learning outcomes, namely in the first cycle of student learning outcomes completion percentage of 52.7%, the second cycle is 70.3%, and the third cycle is 82.4%. Learning activities of students in the first cycle was 52.7%, in the second cycle to 73% and the third cycle becomes 83.8%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the students ability to write poetry before using the technique of out door and after using the technique out door. The object of this research is class VIII SMPN 8 F Bandar lampung year 2013/2014. Data collection techniques performed through three times the test is the first test done free writing poems in class, second and third test write poetry using the technique out door individually (test 2) and in groups (test 3). The result showed that in the first test when the students write poetry in the classroom, students are less passionate and as difficult to find the words to be poetry. In the second and third tests students taken out of class, the students began to seem pleased to observe something that is in front of his eyes. Students began to write with passion. Like wise, in the third test, students seem more excited because they equate with a theme of words with a friend group. Then revealed his imagination in the form of poetry. The results of the third test is the percentage of the average value of the first test at 72.57, the average value of the second test 80 and the average value of the third test, namely 85.33 So, the difference between the first and second test is 7.43 percent, the difference between the second and third tests, namely 5.33 percent. Thus the use of techniques out door can improve the ability to write poetry in class VIII SMP Negeri 8 F Bandarlampung.

Abstract

The purpose of teaching and learning English as foreign language is to enable the students to communicate in English both in readers forms in real communication and understand the foreign culture. There are skill that should be learnt by the student, they are listening, reading, writing and speaking. The students of the eleventh class should be able to master vocabulary and comprehend news item. In achieving the goal of curriculum, there are many students find difficult. They also make errors when they comprehend news item. It means that vocabulary is very important for the students to learn English. The objective of this research is to know and describe the students’ vocabulary mastery and their ability in comprehending news item and to know describe the correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their ability in comprehending news item. In taking the sample of the research, the writer used stratified proportional random sampling technique because the student’s ability was heterogeneous. The population of the research is all the first semester in the eleventh class at SMAN 1 Tanjung Bintang Lampung Selatan. The writer took one class from seven classes and the class consisted of 37 class students. In collecting the data, the writer used objective test that were multiple choice, consisted of 50 items. In this research, product moment formula was used to analyze the data of the research. Based on the result of the research showed rcount = 0.670 is higher than rtable = 0.630 by n =37, there was correlation between vocabulary mastery and comprehending news item.  < (1-a) (k-3), n=37 there was significant correlation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar menulis berbasis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal untuk SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tulang Bawang Tengah kelas VII Semester Ganjil. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) dengan tiga tahapan utama. 1) studi pendahuluan diperoleh informasi awal tentang kondisi objektif pembelajaran, kebutuhan, dan prinsip-prinsip pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. 2) mengembangkan produk berupa desain awal, penilaian sejawat, uji ahli, uji skala kecil, dan uji skala luas. Revisi produk pengembangan dilakukan berdasarkan masukan-masukan dari setiap penilaian atau uji yang dilakukan. 3) Hasil uji efektivitas produk di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 TBT menunjukkan peningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar, kualitas pembelajaran, dan penanaman nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Perbandingan rata-rata skor pretest dan posttest tampak nyata menunjukkan peningkatan, analisis indeks gain menunjukkan kategori sedang. Temuan dalam penelitian ini berguna bagi guru, siswa, dan SMP Muhammadiyah 1 TBT sebagai referensi pengembangan Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP).
