Abstract

The research consists of two variables, the independent variable and dependent variable. Independent variable is reading technique (skimming-scanning) and dependent variable is reading comprehension achievement on narrative text. The objectives of this research is to find out whether there is influence of reading technique (skimming-scanning) on reading comprehension achievement on narrative text.The research method applied is quasi experiment design, it means that the research after the fact. The instrument that is used to collect data is objective test. It consists of 60 items before try out and then after try out only 30 items which have good validity and reliability are used. The population in this research was all first grade students of MAN 18 Pondok Kopi, consisting of 101 students divided in 3 classes. Of these three classes, two of which were used as samples: experiment and control class, respectively consisting of 35 and 31 students. The sampling method is cluster random sampling.The data collected from the samples were then analyzed statistically with t-test, after the data fulfilled the pre requisite tests of normality and homogeneity. The two samples come from normality distribution population since both significances were higher than 0,05, namely 0,119 > 0,05 and 0,179 > 0,05 and thus the H0 is accepted. The homogeneity tests applied to both samples revealed that the variance of the two samples were homogenous: 0.445 > 0,05 for experiment class and 0,245 > 0,05 for control class.The result of statistical calculating using significant 5% (0,05) of t-test with degree of freedom (df) = N1+N2-2 = 66 revealed that sig < 0,05 (0,00 < 0,05). Based on this, the research rejected the null hypothesis (H0) and accepted the alternative hypothesis (H1). Therefore, there is influence of reading technique (skimming-scanning) on reading comprehension achievement on narrative text of the first grade students’ at MAN 18 Pondok Kopi, East Jakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to improve and enhance learning basic motion Kayang in class V in SD Negeri 5 Sumberrejo 2013/2014 school year, with the help of a friend, a support wall and assistance gymball.This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) using three cycles. While the research subjects are students of class IV which amounts to 26 students, consisting of 16 men and 10 women. The data collection techniques with basic motion assessment scale observation Kayang.The results showed: that the first appraisal cycle with the use of methods of learning basic movement Kayang assisted with friends gained mastery learning success percentage 26.92%, while 44.93% effectiveness rate means the action has not been effective. In the second cycle of the basic motion Kayang learning methods with the help of the wall acquired mastery learning success percentage 46.16%, while 49.80% effectiveness rate means the action has not been effective. In the third cycle with the basic motion Kayang learning methods with the aid of gymball gained mastery learning success percentage 84.61%, with 78.07% effectiveness rate calculation. From the results of this study concluded that the learning material in particular floor gymnastics basic movements Kayang with tools to improve and enhance the basic motion Kayang the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 5 Sumberejo Kemiling.

Abstract

The issues discussed in this research is the analysis of verbalistis by gender, with sample language differences among male and female students at the University PGRI Palembang. Based on the data, the results are as follows: (1) The use of sound and intonation (P: 50% and W: 50%); (2) the intensity of talk (P 30% and W: 70%); (3) skill in verbalistis (P 30% and W: 70%); (4) observation (P: 50% and W: 50%); (5) competitive and cooperative (P 50% and W: 70%); (6) Miscommunication (P: 50% and W: 50%). From the data, it was concluded the following. (1) The issue of language and communication is more important for women than men because women more often speak of the men. (2) The purpose of men in the use of language tends about getting something, whereas women tend to be about making relationships with others. More men are talking about data and facts, while more women are talking about people, feelings, and relationships between people. (3) Women are more verbally skilled compared to men. (4) The difference often leads to "miscommunication" between women and men. (5) The way men use language to be competitive in obtaining and maintaining the status. How to use the language of women are cooperative, reflecting their preference for equality and harmony.

Abstract

Social studies designed to develop knowledge, understanding, and analytical skills of the social conditions in entering a dynamic social life. Social Science subjects are arranged in a systematic, comprehensive, and integrated in the learning process towards maturity and success in life in society. With this approach is expected to learners will gain a broader understanding and depth in the related fields of science.The purpose of this study increases student motivation in learning for learning can be understood heroism evenly. Improve the teaching and learning process in Subjects IPS. Increase students understanding of the methods of reinforcement learning with verbal and non-verbal.The method used is a Classroom Action Research by using two cycles. While the research subject is class I. Data was collected with the scale of observation / observation and data analysis techniques performed by cycle analysis.Very significant changes between the results of the research cycle II, where the second cycle are the results of the evaluation can be considered good. Thus the study can already be said to be successful in the second cycle and no further cycle stages for the second cycle can already be categorized either by 91.67% on the evaluation of students with good results category and 8.33% of students with moderate category evaluation results. Thereby increasing student achievement be fine, although the classification was having similarities with the sense not decreased, but the author can give the conclusion that the achievement of students with good kategoro greatly increased with excellent classification. This study therefore has to be said berhasik the second cycle with the acquisition of 91.67% on average there is a category of students with good study results.

Abstract

Accounting productive subjects should be given to all the students of SMK to equip with the ability to think logically, creative, intelligent, careful, critical, innovative, systematic and ability to cooperate. The fact class materials have been delivered to students are not fully understood by the students, because the students kejenuhnan level higher than the interest in studying accounting.The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of variation stimulus to productive accounting student learning achievement and determine differences in accounting productive learning achievement among students who use the stimulus variation learning model that does not use a learning model variation stimulus.Based on the hypothesis testing that has been done using the formula ttes and consulted on ttab with 5% significance level indicates that thit> ttab this means that there is the influence of variation stimulus application of learning models to the learning achievement of students earning accounting. From testing the equality of two average can result in thit <tdaf the real level of 0.05. This shows that the test results is quite significant and can receive provisional estimates the authors propose using stimulus variation application of learning models will be a positive influence in improving the learning outcomes of economic accounting.

Abstract

In the development of this fast growing age, learning science is very important because in essence IPA is a product of the process and its implementation (technology), including the attitudes and values contained therein. Many people argue that mastering science is very important, because in science learning students are given the opportunity and provision for processing IPA and apply it in everyday life by the way - the right way and follow the ethics of science and ethics in society. The purpose of this research is to describe the use of media images in improving the understanding of human respiratory organs learning materials in class V SDN 5 Sumberejo the 2nd half.The method used is a Classroom Action Research by using two cycles. While the subjects were students in grade 5. Data was collected with the scale of observation / observation and data analysis techniques performed by cycle analysis.Obtaining results of this study are pre-cycle value that is equal to 25.9%. This is due to not using media images. Nilau acquisition of the first cycle, which amounted to 59.26%. This is already using media images using varied methods. Cycle II acquisition value, amounting to 96.3%. This is already given the material by using media images. Based on the acquisition value is always increasing, we can conclude that the use of media images can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is an activity with a purpose. Writing is the way to communicate a message to a reader for a purpose. Through writing, one can explain or describe things as result people miles from us can get information by reading the written message.The method of this research was descriptive quantitative method. The population of this research was the students at the first semester of the eleventh class at MA Hidaayatul Islaamiyah Bandar Lampung consisting of 63 students in 2 classes. The samples of this research were 40 students. In taking the sample, the writer used stratified proportional random sampling technique.The result of calculation by using Product Moment formula showed that rxy was 0.63. It was proved that the correlation between students‟ reading ability and their writing narrative ability was high. After that, the writer consulted the result of rxy above into significant level 5% with N=40 and got 0.312. By the other words, the writer concluded that there is a significant correlation between students‟ reading ability and their writing narrative ability at the first semester of the eleventh class at MA Hidayatul Islaamiyah Bandar Lampung in 2014/2015.

Abstract

The objective of teaching and learning English as a foreign Language is to enable the students to communicate in English both in oral and written. In making sentences or express an idea in oral or writing, the students have to master grammar. Grammar is greatly needed and has important roles in making correct sentences. Without mastering grammar, we can not arrange the senteces in correct one by speaking or writing. In this research the writer did research about using stories towards students‟ grammar mastery.The population of the research was the students at the second semester of tenth class at MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. The writer took two classes as the sample, they are; X B as class experimental class and X C as control class. In the experimental class, there are 36 students and the second one there are 35 students, so the total of experimental and control class is 71. In taking the sample the writer used random sampling technique. In collecting the data, the writer used objective test that were multiple choice test. The test consisted of 50 items and each item consisted of 5 options.The result of the research showed that the hypothesis test by using = 3.01 and from the distribution table of the distribution table of the significance level 5 % known = (1 − 1/2. = 1.98 and = ( 1 – ) = 1.66. The level of 1 % know = (1 − 1/2. = 2.62 and = ( 1 – ) = 2.36. It means that > . So it can be said that there is the influence of using stories towards students grammar mastery at the second semester of the tenth class at MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung and the average score of the students‟ grammar mastery who were taught by using stories was higher than those who were taught by using grammatical method.

Abstract

Indonesian should be a very enjoyable lesson, but in reality, specifically for basic competence hosted the value obtained by the students is still very low, students are less interested, unmotivated, and many students who lack the confidence to perform actively in bringing the show. This study aims to improve the process and learning outcomes on the basis of competence hosted by the language properly and mannered by using modeling strategiesThis study was conducted by two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. In the first cycle of learning hosted students are grouped by 5 members of the student and is represented by one member to perform present and how to bring the show on the second cycle of learning hosted students who performed best in the first cycle as a model for the members of his motivation in order to dare to appear in individuals to obtain the value of the individual. To find out upgrades hosted then use observation techniques. Aspects observed in each cycle is the activity of students and teachers and the learning process.Results of the analysis of the data shows there has been a increase in activity and learning outcomes of students from cycle to cycle. In the first cycle 36% of students still scored below the KKM, and on the second cycle increased to 92% of students had reached KKM. In the first cycle students completed totaling 16 students (64%) and students who have not completed 9 students (36%), while in the second cycle students completed totaling 23 students (92%) and who have not completed two students (8%). The percentage of completeness of students in the second cycle increased 28% from the results of tests in the first cycle is the percentage of 64% to 92%. Ketidaktuntasan percentage of students in the second cycle decreased by 28%. Based on the second cycle indicators that the strategy applied modeling can motivate students to dare to appear as presenters, which in turn can improve the ability of pupils and students get good grades.
