Abstract

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the meaning and significance of the experience of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in taking preventive measures for injury at PERSADIA Islamic Hospital Jakarta Pondok Kopi. This study uses a qualitative design and data collection is done by in-depth interview techniques. The results obtained were four) themes produced, namely the picture of maintaining diet, diverse blood sugar control activities, the challenges of therapeutic adherence and the ability to properly care for the feet. Conclusion, the experience of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in preventing injuries, should adhere to the treatment and maintain the food according to diet so that blood sugar levels remain stable. Another thing to note is, the active role of health workers in providing education about proper foot care. Keywords: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Prevention of Wound Occurrence

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the effectiveness of intradialysis exercise using barbells and Range of Motion (ROM) on the adequacy of hemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney disease in the hemodialysis room of RSIJ Sukapura in 2018. The design of this study uses a design with non-probability pre and post test two groups without control design . The result of the difference in the effectiveness of the adequacy values between the two intervention groups after the intervention was given was the barbell intervention obtained 1,33 with a standard deviation of 0.485, an error standard of 0.114. Whereas in the ROM intervention group 1.67 the standard deviation was 0.485, the standard error was 0.114 and the p-value was 0.047 (> 0.05). Conclusion, there was no significant difference in the value of hemodialysis adequacy between the barbellROM intervention groups after the intervention. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning brainstorming methods on the ability to understand cases in the practice area. The research design used was nonequivalent control group design consisting of experimental groups, namely the treatment of brainstorming methods and the control group with conventional methods, then all groups assessed the level of understanding of the case at the time of pre and post experiment. The results of this study, the intervention group was seen to be more meaningful with a p value of 0,000 compared to the control group. Conclusion, brainstorming education is more effective to be applied to improve the understanding of cases in Nurse profession students in the practice field. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of slow deep breathing and alternate nostril breathing on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest group design approach. Friedman test results showed that there were differences in systolic blood pressure (x2 = 34.09; p <0.001) and diastolic (x2 = 28.74; p <0.001) in the slow deep breathing intervention group. Based on the post hoc test, measurements from time to time obtained p values (p = 0.001) for both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Meanwhile there were differences in blood pressure in the alternate nostril systolic breathing group (x2 = 15.50; p <0.001), diastolic (x2 = 17.18; p <0.001). Post hoc test found a significant decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure from each measurement time during the intervention period with p values 0.005 and 0.025, respectively. Conclusion, in this study that slow deep breathing is much more effective in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Abstract

This study aims to compare the average change in body temperature in a single wall incubator with a single wall incubator with hood in preterm infants with hypothermia. The design of this study uses a comparative descriptive method. The results of the study in the group of preterm infants with hypothermia in a single wall incubator with a lid significantly increased mean body temperature changes with a mean value of 36.09 variance 0.152 while for preterm infants with hypothermia in a single wall incubator a mean value of 35.35 variance values 0.859 and obtained t count from the two study groups namely 2.551 and 1.717 t table. In conclusion, a single wall incubator with a lid increases body temperature in premature infants with hypothermia compared to a single wall incubator. Keywords: Hypothermia, Incubator, Premature
