Abstract

Ecolinguistics studies the interrelationships between language and environment. The environment refers to the relationships between both social and physical environment, as well as the relationships between language and culture. The Ecolinguistics and Dialectical theories view that the environment consists of Three Dimensions of Social Praxis, which are: Ideology, Sociology, and Biology Dimensions. The concept of Three Dimensions of Social Praxis is closely related to the concept of balance and harmony in life which is called Tri Hila Karana. This concept consists of three aspects, namely: Parhyangan Aspects (Spiritual Environment), Pawongan Aspects (Social Environment), and Palemahan Aspects (Natural Environment). The rapid development of tourism brings two major impacts to the environment, namely: positive and negative impacts. The negative impact will effect the existence of Subak as an inseparable part of Palemahan Aspect (natural or physical environment). The availability of ricefield or land is getting less and less as a result of land conversion process into tourism facilities, such as hotel, villa, and the like. Consequently, many ecolexicon of Subak will be eroded. In other words, erosion of Subak ecolexicon cannot be avoided.

This research, therefore, aims to identify Japanese tourists' motivations visiting Bali; their needs and wants/ likes of tourist attractions; and the factors which stumble their visit plans to Bali. Theory of motivation ''push and pull/actor" and "migration theory" are used in analyzing the problems. By using accidental sampling technique, questionnaires are spread out at the international departure o/Ngurah Rai airport to 100 respondents and some respondents are also interviewed. The result shows that "relaxing" is the main motivation/actor of Japanese tourists to visit Bali. The ''physical" is dominant as the travel motivation of Japanese tourists. Meanwhile the main/actor of Japanese tourists visiting Bali is the "natural scenery" and the stumbling/actor is "security". It seems that "nature" in Bali has a high attraction; therefore Japanese tourists intend to relax in Bali. However, this condition is not supported by external/actors, such as security. It should be considered to balance them. ··ree factors in order to increase the visit of Japanese tourists to Bali.

ideally. there are at least three parties involved in planning a tourism area namely: government, tourism industries, and the local community with their interests. A tourism destination has to meet some criteria to be successful: aspects of organizational and marketing planning, product aspects, the aspects of quality planning. Tourism development initiated with good planning is expected to give a beneficial impact on the local industry, government, and community. A good tourism planning will take into consideration in the very beginning all the possible impacts, positive or negative so that all measures can be planned in advance to anticipate them. This article overviews the planning of Borobudur as a Tourism Destination.

Abstract

This research proposes to confirm the effects of service quality on guests satisfaction and behavioral intention loyalty. The data were collected by applying purposive sampling method, which was applied to 200 international tourists staying at a number of five-star hotels in Badung regency. The variables in this study are service quality as an exogenous variable, guests satisfaction as an intervening variable, and behavioral intention as an endogenous variable. The respondents perception is indicated in Likert scale of 5, in which 1 strongly disagrees and 5 strongly agrees with the statements. The data were then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The questionnaire consisting of 30 questions were tried out for its validity using alpha Pearson Correlation and reliability using Cronbach s alpha. Then, the statistical analysis of Structural Equation Modeling showed that direct effect of service quality to guests' satisfaction was significant ( 7 %), direct effect of guests' satisfaction to behavioral intention loyalty was significant (55.4 %), direct effect of service quality to behavioral intention loyalty was insignificant (19. 1 %), and indirect effect of service quality to behavioral intention loyalty through guests satisfaction was significant ( 48 %).

Abstract

Atmospheric tourism can be created by how we arrange, place, manage, layout, physical facilities. Whether good or bad atmospheric is created, depends on our ability to harmonize arrange physical facilities with our achieved goals and on the role of local government. In the beginning. that local government regulation was created to bring a peaceful and enjoyable condition, as Bali has a stable development in the tourist industry. Occasionally there were some changes in practice. Most of the buildings are built without considering the regulation and as a consequence, it creates a bad, noisy traffic jam especially at some points. It would be better. it all stakeholders are concerned to create a good atmospheric and harmonization in all aspects. As Bali is an a-small-attractive island, it needs one management and one plan, so that we can ensure its sustainable tourism development.
