<![CDATA[A farmer community in Javanese village, has developed art as an integrative need and, functionally, relates it to the culture in the area where they were living since long time ago. One of performing art has by a Javanese village farmer community that is still preserved till recently is Kubrosiswo. Kubrosiswo, is considered as one of the connector of ritual values with the concepts of simplicity and mutual cooperation between people in one farmer community.Kubrosiswo performing art is also identified as asocial activity namely slametan that is regularly done by Javanese farmers. The Javanese farmer community believes that slametan is able to accommodate social and ritual demand.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper will review the narrative structure in Hikayat Nur Muhammad (HNM). The theory used is Aristotels and Abrams theory that is narrative structure of introductory unit, opening unit, middle unit and closing unit. The object of this study is the script of Nur Muhammad collection of the National Library of Jakarta with the number Bat. Gen. 378 C / Ml. 378 C. HNM is an old literary work of genre saga. HNM belongs to a kind of biographical narrative that has a narrative structure consisting of narrative units each of which has certain content categories, namely the opening unit, the middle and the cover. The introductory unit, the opening, the middle unit is the part that contains the core of the story. This unit is the most dominant and most important. The middle unit of the HNM contains the story of the patience and submission test that Nur Muhammad must undergo, the events of Nur Muhammad's creatures and dialogue with the four elements. The concluding unit is the conclusion of the image of the greatness of Nur Muhammad's character which further strengthens the image of the greatness of the Prophet Muhammad who was the beginning of this creation. Narrative Structure HNM supports the image of greatness, greatness and goodness of Nur Muhammad as a lover of God from whom created this universe.]]>

<![CDATA[Letter writing is a means of communication used to convey information from one party to another party. In writing a letter of invitation made by the student organization at the Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University speaking there are errors. Language errors can be classified in terms of spelling mistakes and grammatica lerrors from the corner. From the point of spelling mistakes, such as errors in writing on the letter head, dated letters, numbers, attachment, respect, and the contents of the letter. Errors of grammar corner there are two, namely the use of pronouns in the paragraph cover letter and there are still fragmentary sentences.]]>

<![CDATA[Gender issues are discussed in many literary works, whether they are foreign literature, Indonesian literature, or regional literature. Gender issues also appear in religious literature and or pesantren literature. Most of the gender issues that arise in religious literature and or pesantren are issues of gender bias or gender imbalances that are confirmed by the arguments of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet. However, in the literature study of pesantren with the approach of feminist literary criticism of the Sy'ir Laki Rabi by Haji Zakaria did not show any gender bias. The results show that the gender issues raised in this poem are not loaded with gender bias. This work, though, speaks of domestic life, but it emphasizes the duties, duties, and rights of husband and wife.]]>

<![CDATA[Humors function not only just entertain, but also has educated function viewer to think creative. This study aims to determine the pragmatic strategy in the creation of humor that aired on some Indonesian television. The research domain uses the assessment of the humorous theory of Asa Berger. The unit of analysis of this research are words, phrases, and sentences as verbal markers of speech humor. The results of research include misunderstanding techniques with idiom meaning of a word that raises a different meaning; The technique of deceiving by asking a question and a sentence indirectly outwits the other person, so the humorist looks smarter than his opponent; Mocking technique by directly criticizing the speaker because his speech sounds weird; And sound-playing techniques by replacing a phoneme in a word which then creates a different meaning.]]>

<![CDATA[Traditional arts are used to express the beauty of the human soul. In traditional artwork implicit message of the society of knowledge, ideas, beliefs and values norms. One example of a traditional art that has the function of rituals is Barongan. Barongan is a community-owned art Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah raised to preserve the culture and values in society. Through a qualitative descriptive approach with observation techniques and literature, it was found that at the next stage of development, especially in the modern society, arts performances Barongan shift function just as more entertainment. Barongan existence as art and traditional culture in Indonesia progressively eroded by the expansion of global art and culture. Therefore, efforts must be made to preserve the arts and culture in the midst of changing times and foreign cultural influences have been increasing in Indonesia]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe how the daily Republika frames President Joko Widodo. To disclose, simak method followed by noting technique – as described by Sudarjanto (1993) – will be used, while the framing model by Pan Kossicki will be used for the analysis. As a result, President Joko Widodo is positively framed through (a) a syntactic structure that includes the title diction he chooses, leads, backgrounds, source uses, and positive news cover; (B) structure of the script making full use of the 5W 1H element, (3) the thematic structure seen through President Joko Widodo's message which is packed with a polite diction, such as "the student should focus more on the more productive use of energy, such as"; And (4) rhetorical structure seen through the photo placement of Joko Widodo increasingly clarify the message that wants to be delivered by Jokowi]]>

<![CDATA[This research is based on thought that the novel is an imitation or reflection of society (mimetis). There are motives, purpose, and messages the author wishes to convey through his opus. The object of this research is the novel Matinya Sang Penguasa (MSP) by Nawal el Sadawi. In the MSP, there is a social gap between the rich and the poor, and between the ruler and the people. Class gap and this social class contradiction enter domain sociology of literature, especially Marxist literature. This research aims to answer the problem how social aspects, Like the social class structure, the novel relationship with society, and the author's position or ideology that exists in the novel MSP. The results show that there is a social class contrast in the novel MSP. The upper social class is represented by the ruler (Walidesa), while the lower social class is represented by the people (Zakeya). The author's position and ideology appears in the lower classes, which seeks to fight for its rights and against the arbitrariness of the (authoritarian) authorities. This authoritarian ruler then elicits resistance from the people. The fight between the ruler and the people was won by the people.]]>

<![CDATA[The research aims is to determine the strength and the role of families, especially the families of the village who were used Javanese Language. Nowadays, the Javanese language the developed is the reflection of family concern, especially the role of parents in inheriting the use of Javanese Language (normative-prescriptive). The research location is in Semarang City. The method that used to obtain data was the method refer to: observation, record, and method of proficient: participant, interviews. Data analysis used descriptive-quantitative method, i.e. Ervin-Tripp alternation rule (1972). The result of this research that the role of family is very influential on the mastery and use of Javanese Language, as well as coloring the Javanese Language on the present-day. The family has three main roles, namely (1) the gateway to the introduction of the Javanese Language, (2) the gateway to learning Javanese Language, and (3) the gateway to preservation of Javanese.]]>

<![CDATA[Industrialization of Indonesian popular novel 1980-1990 period marked by the increasing of writing productivity. That increased caused by the increasing number of readers. The increasing number of readers caused by the growing tradition of reading due to the publication of magazines and newspapers containing fictional stories (short stories, serialized stories, novella). To meet the needs of the novel in large numbers, the novel is produced in mass. The massalization of popular novel production involves four supporting elements, namely authors, publishers, distributors, and consumers. The involvement of the four supporting elements suggests that popular novel has become a useful commodity which make it to produce with industrial systems and strategies. The popular novel industry is a leisure-class product which has a very strong business spirit. Popular novels are at the center of sophisticated and modern communication solutions. Business communication is related to a variety of professions that work synergistically. Every popular novel published is the collective work of editors, illustrators, graphic design, lay-outer, offset-operation, marketing, sales-promotion, and so on. Thus, popular novels can no longer be referred as the work of individuals but it can be referred as collective work that build upon industrial law.]]>
