Abstract

Prostitution or prostitution is a phenomenon in people's lives and is considered a "social problem". The general view states that the emergence of prostitution is based on a sense of women's helplessness in aspects of life when compared to men. This perception is not only found in social reality. The condition of women as objects also appears in literary works, as a reflection of people's perceptions. Therefore, it takes a study in the perspective of feminism, especially radical feminists to explore the issue of prostitution that occurs in women. The feminist literary criticism approach was carried out in this study with the type of qualitative research. Data was taken from the collection of Genduk Dukuh Seti short stories written by Rohana Handaningrum. The study was conducted aimed at describing the elements of radical feminism found in texts. The results of this study indicate that there are elements of radical feminism in the cepen group. The power relations of men and women are shown in the doctrine of marriage and the traditional ties that bound women. Whereas the removal of virginity and prostitution is a form of women's power over their bodies.

Abstract

Evidence as well as the goal of writing articles related to the statement: that the existence of "minimal pair" phonemes are supposed to be the basis/early learning Indonesian phonology is based on the following reasons: a. functional phoneme "minimal pair", b. certainty of speech and phoneme symbols, c. certainty of type and number of phonemes, d. phoneme as the cause of difference/contrast of meaning (words), and e. other forms of antonym formation (i).Starting from the effort of proof and the goal, finally it can be said: that such a study is an important study, because from several literature sources there is a phoneme "minimal pair" only discussed in a brief and simple manner. That is only limited to capacity as a means of proofing phonemes to phonemic traits. In other words, it turns out that the existing problems have never been discussed in depth and specifically. The method applied is based on three strategic stages, namely: 1. provision of data, 2. classification and analysis of data, and 3. preparation of reports/writing. The data is obtained from written sources, so that the provision of data is secondary. The application of theory is based on the linguistic theory of phonology and the semantic field. The application of the phonology field is related to the effort to put words in the phoneme "minimum pair", while the semantic field is related to the different meanings (words) of the paired words.

Abstract

This research is a linguistic demographic research. The focus of this study is the use of Indonesian (BI) by migrants as a colloquial language in the Province of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta based on 1971 Population Census data. This study aims: (1) to explain the number of Indonesian speakers nationally and according to ethnicity in Jakarta Province and (2) explaining the composition of migrants in Jakarta based on daily language or mother tongue. The data collection of this study uses the referral method that was developed with the technique of noting and analyzing data using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the population of Indonesia was dominated by speakers of Javanese and Sundanese languages which were 40.44 percent and 15.06 percent respectively, and only 11.93 percent were Indonesian's mother tongue. The majority of migrants in Jakarta mostly use Indonesian for daily communication, which reaches 84.68 percent, and Javanese is used by 7.54 percent and third place in Sundanese is used by 3.96 percent. This conditions is far below the number of Javanese-speaking migrants who reached 41 percent and 31 percent of Sundanese. The occurrence of these symptoms is caused by: (1) the demands of work, (2) living with multilingual migrants, and (3) linguistic prestige.
