Abstract

Nowadays internet usage can not be denied has become a requirement of many people, where internet can become source of knowledge or global information giver as well as source of income. This activity is intended to find out what students of SMK Al-Madani Pontianak about the utilization of internet for education by giving insight on internet problem for education which is used as instructional media, giving insight on UU Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (Undang Undang No 19 Tahun 2016) and about Internet CAKAP. This activity is done by way delivery of materials, giving questioner divided into two sessions, giving questioner before the material and after the material. At the end of the activity, the leaflets are distributed to give students insight into the internet for education that discusses the knowledge about the internet, its utilization and some educational sites. From the results of tests on 32 students who fill the questioner, visible students SMK AL-Madani about the understanding of the internet is 66%. After the socialization, thoroughly they increased to 89%. Income tax benefits. Abstract

Aloe vera is one of the typical plants in West Kalimantan, and the plant is only able to live in the earthy peat area. Kubu Raya as one of the new regency in Kalimantan Barat, has a lot of wealth potential areas that could be developed, one of the aloe vera plant. However, as the new district, of course it limits its capacity to support the development processed foods product based on aloe vera, so it is needed for cooperation with other parties that can help businesses of processed products maker existing aloe vera plant. During this time the problems for development Aloe vera plant is the limited access to capital and difficult to market processed products. Therefore, through Ipteks bagi Masyarakat (IbM) program with Kemenristekdikti and Muhammadiyah Pontianak University initiative to provide help and assistance, especially in terms of managerial group finance businesses to be bankable to get into banking, and also assist in the management of marketing the product to marketing problems that have been encountered can be resolved.The method used in this IbM activities consist of a number of methods including lectures, practice methods and mentoring, as well as participatory methods and simulation. In this activity the management consulting and guidance to businesses, especially related to the problems they face in the management of business such as marketing development, limited access to capital, including the preparation of business bookkeeping. Abstract

Riset ini dilakukan untuk mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi bakteri dari tanah gambut Kota Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. Sebanyak 9 dari 18 isolat bakteri diketahui memiliki aktivitas selulolitik. Isolat aktif tersebut menunjukkan terbentuknya zona hidrolisis di sekitar koloni bakteri ketika ditumbuhkan pada media mengandung karboksimetil selulosa 1%. Tiga isolat yaitu Yersinia pseudotuberculosis RAG21, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis RAG25, dan Proteus penneri RAG31 menunjukkan rasio diameter zona hidrolisis terhadap koloni, dengan rasio sebesar 2,73±0,15, 2,61±0,15, dan 4,14±0,30 secara berturut-turut.Kata Kunci:     bakteri gambut, humat, selulase, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, Proteus penneri

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe reading interest of Indonesian children is in the category of concern. There many factors the cause of low children's interest in reading, from economic factors to environmental factors. RT 06 / RW 08, the Bangkong River Village is one of the areas in the city of Pontianak that needs to be improved the reading interest. In this environment still do not have the facilities and infrastructure that can facilitate school-age children to gain knowledge through reading activities. Even if the child's interest in reading has been stimulated from an early age, it can build morals and morals in children. Therefore, through this dedication the dedication team made a reading corner as a vehicle to foster interest in reading for children which not only contained reading books, but was able to facilitate children in growing and developing their character with non-book items, such as crayons, picture books, colored pencils, colored papers and other craft objects. The purpose of this service activity is to provide supporting facilities in the form of elementary school textbooks and other science books as well as providing non-book items to develop children's creativity and children's positive imagination.  Keywords : character, desire of reading, reading home

Abstract

One village is one of the villages in the subdistrict Rasau Jaya 2  Kubu Raya based on result from health districts Kubu Raya only 61% Healthy of home, latrine coverage in the district Rasau Jaya 2 only 61,8% As for the behavior of defecation districts Rasau Jaya 2 59,09%, the impact on people's habits defecation in a polluted environment and the impact on human health, such as diarrhea, typhoid and cholera, and skin diseases, other effects such as loss of aesthetic value of the environment. This study aimed to determine the relationship between attitudes and knowledge economy and the provision of latrines special families with defecation habits in the sub-district Rasau Jaya 2 at Regency of Kubu Raya. This is a quantitative research study design "cross-sectional" .sample this study based on the number of existing homes The village Rasau 2 with coverage 5 village a sample of 106 respondents. Result bivariate analysis showed a be a relationship between knowledge (p-value: 0.008), attitude (p-value: 0.24), Economics (p-value: 0.24), and the provision of latrines (p-value: 0.006) the habit of defecation in the District Belitang Sekadau.Recommended to the health authorities to provide education hazard problem doing defecation habits.                                                                                                                               Keywords: knowledge, attitudes, economics, provision of household toilets, defecation, carelessly,

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the causes of high caries sufferers in teeth is the low awareness of patients in checking themselves find out the symptoms, causes and prevention of dental caries. Some of the methods of prevention of dental caries include flouridation of drinking water, flouridation of salt, milk fluid flouridation, healthy dietary improvement, individual action of gargling F, fluorine tablets, brushing with fluid F. The purpose of this dedication is to increase knowledge, understanding, use and benefits of flour-containing substances in the body, as well as prevention of dental caries and knowledge and proper tooth brushing. The method undertaken in this dedication activity is the method of lecture / counseling, namely the provision of information (education) either from pamphlets or videos about materials, uses and benefits as well as understanding the flour itself. Target in this service activity is the students of class V-VI because in this class group have / have permanent teeth, which more susceptible suffering dental caries in order to maintain healthy tooth and mouth early also give education to the surrounding environment. This dedication activity is held from August 2017 to January 2018. It is hoped that with this dedication activity, students of MI will know more about the information about the ingredients, the use and the benefit and the understanding of the flour itself so as to reduce or avoid dental caries disease.Keywords: Education, flour, prevention of dental caries, students of MI.

Abstract

Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah Kurangnya keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa, karena mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memahami tahapan-tahapan prosedur kerja dan kesulitan dalam mengoperasikan alat-alat yang digunakan pada percobaan sintesis etil asetat. Hal ini disebabkan dalam penutun praktikum tidak dilengkapi dengan gambar. Kekurangan pada penuntun praktikum dapat di atasi dengan memberikan sebuah media pembelajaran, yaitu media flash. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa dari sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media flash. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental, dengan rancangan penelitian “One-Group Pretest-Posttest” yang dilaksanakan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan media flash. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak angkatan 2013 dengan jumlah 34 mahasiswa. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik pengukuran. Teknik pengukuran digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains melalui tes tertulis. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa dari sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan media flash yaitu dari 76,32% menjadi 95,32%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media flash dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak angkatan 2013 khususnya percobaan sintesis etil asetatThis study was initiated by the lack of the students’ science process skills and the difficulty in comprehending the stages of work procedures and in operating the lab tools used in synthesis of ethyl acetate experiment. These problem were caused experiment module was not included related pictures. However, it can be overcome by providing a flash learning media. This study aimed at figuring out the difference of students’ science process skills before and after implementing flash media. The research was conducted using pre-experimental research using "One-group pretest-posttest" design. About 34 students of Chemistry Education in Academic Year 2013, UM Pontianak participated in this study. The technique used in this study was measurement technique. The measurement used to measure the science process skills through written tests. The study revealed that there was difference of students’ process skills before (76.32%) and after  (95.32%) the application of  flash media. Hence, it is concluded that flash media significantly enhance the students’ science process skills, particularly on the synthesis of ethyl acetate experiment

Abstract

Tindakan pelestarian kura-kura di Kalimantan Barat perlu didukung informasi ilmiah mengenai jenisnya. Hingga saat ini, penelitian mengenai biodiversitas jenis kura-kura yang ada di Kalimantan Barat belum banyak dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan karakter morfologi jenis kura-kura air tawar yang ada di Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menemukan 15 individu kura-kura yang berasal dari kota Pontianak dan Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan terdapat 3 jenis kura-kura dari famili Geomydidae dan 1 jenis dari famili Emydidae. Jenis kura-kura dari famili Geomydidae adalah Cuora amboinensis, Cyclemys dentata, dan Heosemys spinosa, sedangkan jenis kura-kura dari famili Amydidae adalah Trachemys scripta. Kata kunci: Kalimantan Barat, Karakter Morfologi, Cuora amboinensis, Cyclemys dentata, Heosemys spinosa, Trachemys scripta

Abstract

Hidayatul Muslimin 1 Kubu Raya Boarding School and Ma’had Labbaik Pontianak have a problem in term of water quality. The limited quantity as well as the uncertainty of rainwater cause Hidayatul Muslimin 1 Boarding School and Ma’had Labbaik using well to use well to meet the needs of clean water. The physical quality of well water is dark brown in color because of the peat soil around both of locations. Well water is only pumped toward the reservoir without any water treatment process, thereby potentially causing diseases such as itching as well as causing yellow color in clothing and kitchen utensils. Thus, installation of water treatment unit is needed to treat well water into the clean water which is suitable for everyday use. Treatment technology used are chlorination, aeration, and filtration using clamshell media, with a processing capacity of 1000 liters. The method used is the participatory method by involving students in socialization, operation, and maintenance of water treatment installation. The physical quality of water is clean after treatment and suitable for everyday use. Keywords: Aeration, Filtration, Chlorination, Water Treatment

Abstract

Perindung and Angsiana village are majorly inhabited by transmigrants with livelihood as rice farmers. Yields of up to 10 tons each year. This is great potential to be developed towards real rice and food self-sufficiency. There are two issues on rice farming in both villages, which are the drying process depends on the sunlight and the use of threshing machines that need fuel. Community service was done in the form of training and making the simple drying machine utilizing biomass such as rice husk as a source of biomass. In addition to the manufacture of paddy drying machine, we also trained local farmer to create a simple threshing machine. The results of these activities were increasing knowledge of local farmer through training and socialization. They included the manufacture of a threshing machine, rice dryer machine, and cassava flour processing machine. We hope the local government will be the motivator and the facilitator for the community to increase community empowerment and increase the potential for rural areas and communities can develop and apply the knowledge they have been given during the community service. Keywords : Farmer, rice, Pal Sembilan Village, Kubu Raya Regency
