Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh volume media tanam dan frekuensi pemberian pupuk NPK yang optimum untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi stroberi di dataran menengah (+600 m di atas permukaan laut). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 04 Maret sampai 28 September 2013 di Kebun Percobaan SDN Kebon Kawung, Desa Nanggerang, Kecamatan Cicurug - Sukabumi, sedangkan untuk analisis laboratorium di Laboratorium Pusat Kajian Hortikultura Tropika Institut Pertanian Bogor (PKHT – IPB) - Bogor. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor yaitu volume media tanam dan frekuensi pemberian pupuk. Media tanam yang digunakan adalah campuran tanah, pupuk kandang dan arang sekam (3:1:1) yang terdiri atas tiga volume yaitu 3 liter, 5 liter dan 7 liter. Pupuk yang digunakan merupakan pupuk majemuk yaitu NPK (16:16:16) dengan frekuensi pemberian dua kali, tiga kali dan empat kali. Dosis pupuk NPK (16:16:16) yang digunakan adalah 12g/ tanaman. Penggunaan media tanam dengan volume 7 liter menghasilkan jumlah stolon lebih banyak dan lebih panjang dibandingkan media tanam bervolume 3 liter. Frekuensi pemupukan dengan empat kali menghasilkan tajuk lebih tinggi dibandingkan dua kali pemupukan. Volume media tanam dan frekuensi pemberian pupuk berbeda, tidak mempengaruhi peubah tinggi crown, jumlah daun, luas daun, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah dan persentase fruitset. Stroberi yang dihasilkan mengandung PTT (padatan terlarut total) sekitar 6-11o Brix, ATT (asam terlarut total) sekitar 0,032 - 0,052 ml/10 g dan kandungan provitamin C berkisar antara 0,026-0,040 ml/10g.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the repellent ability of lerak fruit extract (Sapindus rarak DC.) and kirinyuh leaf extract (Chromolaena odorata) against Callosobruchus maculatus warehouse pests. The research activity was conducted in October - December 2016 at Entomology Laboratory, SEAMEO BIOTROP Bogor. This research used two experiments that were using lerak fruit extract and kirinyuh leaf extract. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design with three replications for each concentration level of extract material. The extract concentrations used for the preliminary test were 1.0%; 2.0%; 3.0%; 4.0% and 5.0%. In the main test the concentration refers to the results of the preliminary test. The concentration of lerak fruit  extract used for the main test were 1.5%; 3.0%; 4.5%; 6.0% and 7.5% (v / v), the concentration of kirinyuh leaf extract were 0.0%; 2.5%; 5.0%; 7.5% and 10.0% (v / v). The effectiveness of repellent ability be classified well if repellent ≥80%, good enough if 60% ≤ repellent <80% and less good if repellent <60%. The highest repellent content of lerak fruit extract on 72  hours after treatment (JSP) was 77.9% occurring at 4.5% extract concentration and highest repellent of kirinyuh leaf extract on 72 JSP was 82.73% occurring at 10.0% extract concentration. Repellent ability of kirinyuh leaf extract is better than repellent ability of lerak fruit extract. Keywords: repellent power, vegetable extract, extract concentration, pest controlling

Abstract

Effect of Pipe Slope on Growth and Production of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) in NFT Hydroponic SystemABSTRACT            This research was aimed to study the effects of pipe slope on the  growth and production of three lettuce variety in NFT (nutrient film technique) system. A split plot completely randomized design was used with pipe slope levels, namely 6%, 9 %, and 12% as the main plot and cultivar (New Red Fire, Express  and Kribo) as the sub plot. Results showed that pipe slope levels were not affected all of the variables.  Meanwhile lettuce cultivar New Red Fire showed growth and production (number of leaf, leaf area, root lenght, shoot wet and dry weight crown,  root wet and dry weight,  biomass total dry wet) better than ‘Express’ and ‘Kribo’.Key words:  split plot, number of leaves, biomass total, NFT                                                              ABSTRAK             Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kemiringan pipa pada sistem hidroponik NFTterhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tiga varietas selada. Penelitian dilakukan dengan Rancangan acak lengkap pola Split Plot. Petak utama adalah tingkat kemiringan pipa (6 %, 9 %, dan 12 %), sedangkan anak petak adalah kultivar (New Red Fire,  Express dan Kribo). Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa tingkat kemiringan pipa tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua peubah yang diamati. Sementara itu, selada kultivar New Red Fire menunjukkan pertumbuhan dan produksi (jumlah daun, luas daun, panjang akar, bobot basah pucuk, bobot basah akar, bobot basah total, bobot basah dan kering pucuk, bobot basah dan kering akar dan bobot kering brangkasan total lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kultivar Express dan Kribo.   Kata kunci: split plot, jumlah daun, NFT, brangkasan total

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh komposisi pupuk kalium dan tahapan pemupukan kalium serta interaksi antara keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan, produksi, dan daya simpan kacang panjang (Vigna sesquipedalis (L.) Fruwh.) Kultivar KP-1. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2009, bertempat di kebun percobaan Jurusan Agroteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Djuanda Bogor.Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama berupa komposisi pupuk kalium (A) yang terdiri atas lima taraf, yaitu 2,4 g KCl + 0 ml kalium organik cair/tanaman (A0), 1,8 g KCl + 1,7 ml kalium organik cair/tanaman (A1), 1,2 g KCl + 3,4 ml kalium organik cair/ tanaman (A2), 0,6 g KCl + 5,2ml kalium organik cair/tanaman (A3), dan 0 g KCl + 6,9 kalium organik/tanaman (A4). Faktor kedua berupa tahapan pemberian pupuk kalium yang terdiri dari tiga taraf, yaitu B1 dengan 1x pemberian pada 1 minggu setelah tanam (MST), B2 dengan 2x pemberian pada 1MST dan 5MST; dan B3 dengan 4x pemberian pada 1, 3, 5, dan 7MST.Perlakuan komposisi pupuk kalium hanya berpengaruh terhadap banyak buah pada panen ke-5, perlakuan tahapan pemupukan kalium berpengaruh terhadap panjang buah (panen ke-12), bobot buah (panen ke-11), dan penyusutan bobot buah (4 HSS), serta interaksi antara keduanya berpengaruh terhadap banyak daun (9, 11, 12 MST) dan banyak kuncup bunga (10 MST). Tinggi tanaman, banyak buah tanaman, banyak kuncup bunga,dan banyak bunga mekar tidak dipengaruhi oleh komposisi pupuk kalium, tahapan pemupukan kalium, dan interaksi antara keduanya.

Abstract

This study was aimed at assessing the effects of shade (paranet) on the growth and production of kenikir (Cosmos caudatus).  The study was conducted from April to September 2016 at the Agrotechnology Trial Farm of Djuanda University, Bogor.  A split plot completely randomized design was used with shade levels, namely 0 (no shade), 25, 50, and 75% as the main plot and places of origin, namely Bogor, Cianjur, and Sukabumi as the sub plot.  Results showed that 50 and 75% shades at 8 weeks after planting (WAP) significantly decreased plant height, leave length, stem diameter, harvest fresh weight and harvest dry weight.  Leaf width of kenikir was found to be higher.  Number of leaves of kenikir of Sukabumi and Cianjur origins was higher than that of Bogor origin.  Chlorophyl content of kenikir of Cianjur origin was higher than that of Sukabumi and Bogor origins.  However, biomass yield harvested from all acessions was not different.  Key words: chlorophyl content, plant origin, harvest yield.

Abstract

The study was aimed at assesing the effects of the aplication of organic and syntheticfertilizer on the growth and production of soybean. Four levels of organic fertilizer, namely noorganic fertilizer (0 ton ha -1), 0,5 x recomended rate (10 ton ha -1), 1 x recomended rate (20 tonha -1) and 1,5 recomended rate (30 ton ha -1). The second factor was sinthetic fertilizer in fourlevels, namely no synthetic (0 ton ha -1), 0,5 x recomended rate (Urea 75 kg ha -1, SP-36 75 kg ha -1, KCl 50 kg ha -1), 1 x recomended (Urea 150 kg ha -1, SP-36 150 kg ha -1, KCl 100 kg ha -1), and1,5 x recomende (Urea 225 kg ha -1, SP-36 225 kg ha -1, KCl 150 kg ha -1). Result show that theaplication of both organic and synthetic fertilizer gave significant effect on plant height, number ofleaves, number of flowers, number of branches, leaf widht, number of total pods, number of pods containing 1, 2 and 3 seeds, fresh and dry weight of pods, fresh weight of roots, number of nodes,fresh weight of nodes, and fresh and dry weight of canopy. Interaction effect of organic andsynthetic fertilizer were found on dry weight of root, dry weight of nodes and dry weight ofbiomass.Keywords: edamame, organic fertilizer, synthetic fertilizer, pods

Abstract

This study was aimed at assessing the growth and production of celery plants grown with various compositions of N,P and K fertilizer and compost. The study was done at the Trial Farm of Faculty of Agriculture, Djuanda University, Bogor fiom September to November 2015. A completely randomized design with two factors was used. The factors consisted of compost rate and N,P and K fertilizer rate. Compost was given in four levels, namely no compost (0% R), 26.3% gcompost/plant (50% R), 52.5 g compost/plant (100% R), and 78.7 g compost/plant (150% R). N, P and K fertilizer was given in five levels, namely no fertilizer (0% R), 4 g Urea, 0.3 g SP-36, 0.2 g KCl (25% R), 0.9 g Urea, 0.6 g SP-36, 0.4 g KCI (50% R), 1.3 g Urea, 0.8 g SP-36, 0.6 g KCl (75% R), and 1.7 g Urea, 1.1 g SP-36, 0.8 g KCl (100% R). All fertilizers were administered gradually at the time of planting and 2 weeks after planting. Three replicates were allocated into each treatment making up 60 experimental units. Results showed that celery plants given synthetic fertilizer at 100% R had higher plant height, number of leaves, number of seedlings, harvest fresh weight (g), saleable fresh weight (g), root biomass (g), and root dry weight (g) than those treated with no fertilizer (0% R). Plants treated with 150% compost had higher plant height, number of leaves, harvest fresh weight (g), saleable fresh weight (g), root length (cm), and root dry weight (g) than those treated with no fertilizer (0% R). Thus the best celery growth and production in this study was obtained on plant 150% R compost   and 100% R synthetic fertilizer nourished.Key words: celery, compost, N, P, K fertilizer, harvest flesh weight

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi pupuk organik cair dengan nutrisi hidroponik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.). Penelitian dilakukan di greenhouse Universitas Djuanda Bogor. Kegiatan dimulai pada bulan Januari hingga Februari 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) satu faktor yaitu pencampuran pupuk organik cair (POC) dan nutrisi hidroponik (AB Mix). Perlakuan terdiri atas lima taraf, yaitu P1 (0% POC, 100% AB Mix), P2 (25% POC, 75% AB Mix), P3 (50% POC, 50% AB Mix), P4 (75% POC, 25% AB Mix), dan P5 (100% POC, 0% AB Mix). Tinggi tanaman selada tertinggi terdapat pada P3 dengan komposisi 50% POC dan 50% AB Mix (23.00 cm). Jumlah daun tertinggi sebanyak 10 helai yaitu pada P2 dengan komposisi 25% POC dan 75% AB Mix. Bobot total tanaman pada 30 HST (masa panen) tertinggi terdapat pada P2 yaitu (64.10 g). Tanaman yang diberi nutrisi hidroponik AB Mix dengan komposisi 50% atau lebih akan berpeluang lebih tinggi untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal baik dari tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun ataupun bobot total pada masa panen.Kata kunci: selada, hidroponik, pupuk organik cair hidroponik

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak daun Kipahit dan atau daun Mindi serta perbedaan konsentrasi dapat mengendalikan hama dan penyakit penting tomat. Selain itu, apakah ada interaksi antara ekstrak daun Kipahit dan daun Mindi.Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu dengan pemberian ekstrak daun Kipahit (Tithonia diversifolia) dan daun Mindi (Melia azadirach) terdiri atas 5 taraf : P0 = (kontrol), P1 = (Kipahit 16 kg berat basah), P2 = (Kipahit 10 kg bb + Mindi 6 kg bb), P3 = (Kipahit 6 kg bb + Mindi 10 kg bb), P4 = (Mindi 16 kg bb). Faktor ke dua yaitu konsentrasi ekstrak daun Kipahit dan daun Mindi terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu : K1 = 8 kg bb, K2 = 16 kg bb.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun Kipahit dan atau daun mindi serta perbedaan konsentrasi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada Ulat Buah (Helicoverpa armigera) pada umur 66, 73, 80 dan 87 HST, Kutu Kebul (Bemicia tabaci) pada umur 45, 52, 59, 66, 73 dan 80 HST, Ulat Grayak (Spodoptera litura) pada Umur umur 45, 52, 59, 66, 73, 80 dan 87 HST dan penyakit busuk daun (Phytophthora infestans) pada umur 45, 52, 59, 66, 73, 80 dan 87 HST. Selain itu tidak terdapat interaksi antara ekstrak daun kipahit dan daun mindi.

Abstract

This study was aimed at assessing the effects of shade on the growth, productivity of indigenous vegetables pohpohan and reundeu.   A split-plot design was used.  The main plot was shade treatments consisting of four levels, namely 0% (no shade), 25%,  50%, and 75%.  The subordinate plot was the seed origins, namely Sukabumi, Cianjur, and Bogor.  The arrangement of the main and sub plots was done based on a completely randomized design.  Results showed that  in pohpohan increased plant height was found in 50% shade treatment, while leaf length and width was found to be increased in shade treatment up to 75%.  Leaf length and width of pohpohan plants of Bogor origin were higher than those of pohpohan plants of Cianjur and Sukabumi origins. In reundeu plants, no effects of shade treatments were found in all variables measured.  Reundeu plants of Bogor and Cianjur origin were found to be superior in plant height, leaves number, length, and width, and fresh and dry  weight. Pohpohan plants were potential to be grown under shades.    Key words: seed origin, plant height, pohpohan, reundeu, Bogor
