Abstract

In the distribution of electrical energy from the power plant to the consumer occurs energy loss or shrinkage energy. Losses of energy in a electrical system must always exist. This is due to the content of prisoners on permanent conductor and the nature of the network itself. In the process of calculating the energy losses experienced many difficulties because of the extensive distribution network. So we need a method to calculate the shrinkage. By performing measurements on distribution substations and calculate the voltage drop across the channel as well as custody and subsequently look for peak power losses and average power losses. Next calculate the energy is channeled so that it can calculate energy losses.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) is a company engaged in the field of electricity supply. PLN is required to distribute electrical energy reliably and in accordance with the level of quality of service that has been determined. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the extent outage with SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index). With SAIDI can be taken remedial measures subsystems, both components or equipment. whereas with SAIFI can be taken remedial measures to overcome burnout procedure and speed up the repair time. In this thesis will be discussed, the calcution of the level of reliability (SAIDI,SAIFI) and the power loss is not channeled by interference outages in PT PLN (Persero) Region substation feeder Simpang Haru Polamas 2015.

Abstract

PT. Krakatau daya listirk (KDL) is a company engaged in the electrical power plant. Krakatau Daya Listrik power plant has a capacity of 3X40 MW that operate with natural gasfuel. Electrical production of PT. Krakatau Daya Listrik used to supply electricity to the entire industrial area of Krakatau, which is biggest customers is PT. Krakatau Stell (KS), Electrical supply from PT. Krakatau Daya Listrik Used to operate PT. Krakatau Stell for electrical arc furnace. The steel smelting process required enormous power and fluctuate greatly, resulting in a loadchange that varies greatly in Krakatau Daya Plant. The load change can affect and Krakatau Daya Listrik Power plant efficiency, it is the increase in powerplant fuel consumtion. This paper will calculated the fuel that influenced by the changes of power plant efficiency of PT. Krakatau Daya Listrik.

Abstract

In urban areas the use of underground cables is growing rapily in recent. Cable line are used to distribute electrical energy is called high voltage cable line. When a ground fault occurs in a power network, a ground fault current flow towards the sources through the earth and the other flow through mettalic sheath of the cable. For safety in substation reduction factor must be small. In this paper present the method for calculate reduction factor value at three single core cable. This method can give the value of reduction factor for different distance and different ground fault locations,happened between source substation and suplied substation.

Abstract

The short circuit is one of the interference in electric power system that is temporary, this should be overcome by protection equipment protection system. A short circuit is an abnormal relationship to a relatively low impedance occurring between two points having different potentials. The low voltage generated by the disturbance results in endangering the service provided by the electrical system. If the voltage remains low for a few seconds, the machines belonging to the consumer will stop and the generators on the system become unstable. The power cut (PMT) should work as quickly as possible. If the overflow relay (OCR) and ground disturbance relay (GFR) coordinate well and quickly provide interference signals the power breaker (PMT) then the damage could be avoided especially where the short-circuited sparks occur.

Abstract

In Indonesia have been in the design of a transformer with an environmental temperature of 2000C and operate around 3000C, so a working transformer must be adapted to the load. Shrink age transformer affected by isolation transformer oil and transformer entanglement. Excessive heat can damage the transformer coil insulation and temperature rise on oil can change the viscosity of the oil transformer. In the observations of work load and temperature on the Power Transformer lead shrink age and ability of the smaller the transformer supplying the load is also on the wane. The increase will raise the temperature of the load end of the hot-spot, which is approaching the maximum allowable value. From observations obtained temperature hot-spot only reached 107.180C, then your age will increase the transformer of 1.3891 years. So according to the calculation, the transformer on a GI Kembangan can operate for 20.55 years according the IEEE when coupled with the age 1.3891 years, then the transformer will be 21.9391 year. To date, Transformers GI Kembangan has been operating for 13 years so the rest of the transformer is expected to become age 8.9391 years.

Abstract

Cable conditions of different loads, both medium and high, can be deployed on open or closed wiring racks. On the open cable rack is not trapped, but on the cable rack closed strongly conducting cable current is strongly influenced air. This is because inside the closed cable rack itself between the mass surface of the cable and the lid of the rack there is trapped air. This trapped air is a heat insulation that can affect the heat energy of the cable mass so it is not easy to flow into the surrounding air. Temperature increases in the mass of cables with different cable loads will affect the current carrying strength of the cables. Based on the above problems it is necessary to review the effect of load diversity on the current carrying strength of cables, especially on the closed cable rack and environmental temperature factors outside the cable. From the results of the research it is found that the more number of high-loaded cables NYY (Heavily Loaded cables) then the current carrying strength decreases. But the greater the diameter of the cable then the conductivity of the current will be greater. This is indicated by the average increase for the cable NYY with diameter 16 mm2, 25 mm2 and 50 mm2of 17.97 A.
