Ekologia adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan untuk mengakomodasi tulisan hasil penelitian bagi sivitas akademika Universitas Pakuan khususnya dan instansi lain di luar Universitas Pakuan pada umumnya. Jurnal ini memuat artikel primer yang bersumber langsung dari hasil penelitian Ilmu Dasar dan Lingkungan Hidup. Ekologia diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan April dan Oktober oleh Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam-Universitas Pakuan. Abstract

Soybean waste is one of the alternative sources of fiber which is a by-product in the manufacture of tofu and contains high crude protein. Fiber and protein are given in the form of soybean pulp with variation of 0-40%. This study aims to determine the addition of maximal soybean pulp that provides the properties of cookies that can be accepted by the public and to know the physical properties, microbiology, chemistry including food fiber. The best soybean dregs flour is without washing, steaming. Soybean flour without washing, steaming has 11.65% water content, 3.15% ash, 18.37% protein, 1.25% total food fiber, 0.94% insoluble food fiber, 0 soluble food fiber, 31%, lead 0.04 ppm, cadmium 0.005 ppm, and zinc 20.80ppm, total plate counts (ALT) of 2 x 102 kol / gram, E.coli 3 AMP / gram, / gram. Cookies C5 with the ratio of soybean flour and wheat flour (40%: 60%) are selected products, physical characteristics of soybean cookies include color parameters, aroma, crispness and flavor. The result of analysis of nutrient content of cookies obtained by water content 2,22%, ash 2.20%, protein 7.2%, total food fiber (TDF) 0.85%, insoluble food fiber (IDF) 0,51, soluble (SDF) 0.33%, zinc 25.60 ppm, lead 0.04 ppm, cadmium 0.005 ppm Total total plate count (ALT) of 25 x 10-1 cab / gram, E.coli 3 AMP / gram, mold 10 kol / gram. Key words : Food Disversivication, Soybeans, Cookies, Proteins, Food Fiber

Abstract

Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb leaf  has potential as an antibacterial.  The research aims to know the ability of stocks to mouthwash scented pandan leaf extract inhibits Streptococcus mutans and in determining the fragrant pandanus phytochemicals compounds. Wide-Area Drag testing (LDH) mouthwash extracts was performed with a concentration of 15%, 17.5% and 20%. Test the phytochemical saponins, alkaloids, tannins and flavonoids qualitatively on 0.5 g powder.  Testing stabilita include organoleptik observations of color, aroma, taste preparation, test the pH, specific gravity and viscosity. The results showed that the material of pandanus leaf extract mouthwash scented antibacterial nature against Streptococcus mutans with a concentration of extracts of 15%, 17.5% and 20% showed values of LDH consecutive 16.3 mm; 22.6 mm and 28.3 mm earlier in the week while in week 8 loss to the value of LDH is 12.5 mm; 15.5 mm; and 19.6 mm.  The active compounds in the leaves of pandanus is alkaloids, saponins, tannins and flavonoids.  Mouthwashes stored at 25-30 ° C for 8 weeks are relatively stable for color, flavor, taste, pH, specific gravity, and viscosity, compared to a temperature of 40oC. Key words: Pandan fragrance, Streptococcus mutans, mouthwash

Abstract

The cross and longitudinal section anatomical structure of Aquilaria malaccensis, A. beccariana, A. decipiens, A. microcarpa and Gyrinops versteegii has been studied using paraffin method following Sass (1951) as well as paraderm section and maceration as described in Cutler (1978). The results showed that there were differences in the type of crystal, the number of neighboring cells, the epidermal cells form on upper and lower leaf surfaces and in stomatal index. Further more the differences were also appeared at fingers pith and niche forms. The stomatal index percentage was different significantly with the highest percentage found in A. decipiens 8.47%, followed by A. beccariana 6.73%; A. microcarpa 3.84%; A. malaccensis 3.49% and the lowest percentage was G. versteegiiie 1.60%. Key words: Aquilaria spp., Gyrinops versteegii, plant anatomy, stomatal index

Abstract

Some of the various flora that Indonesia has is the diversity of fungi, lichens and moss. Taman natural  tourism Situgunung is one place that is suitable for mushrooms. The study was conducted at an altitude of 950 m above sea level, 990 m above sea level and 1050 m above sea level. Each height is made of three transect lines with a length of each 100 m transect with a total plot of 90 plot samples. Each transect is made of 10 sample plots measuring 1 x 1 m with a spacing between 10 m. The important value index (INP) that dominates each height is Marasmius copelandi, the height of 990 m above sea level is Stereum ostrea, and the Important Value Index at an altitude of 1050 is Stereum sp. Diversity index of fungal species in the TWA Situgunung area is high with an average value of 3.78.Key words : Situgunung, fungi, index diversity

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of a combination of extracts of Noni leaves (Morinda citrifolia L) and fruit kandis (Garcinia cowa Roxb) on body weight of male rats induced by high- fat calories food Test animals were used 25 rats male Sprague Dawley strain age of 2 months with body weight ± 200 g. White mice were divided into 5 groups of 4 rats each. The treatment committed agains an obesity rats. The treatment group consisted of rats doses of 1 (8,75mg/kgBB noni leaves ekstract and sour fruit kandis 7mg/kgBB), dose II (4,75 mg/kgBB noni leaves ekstract and sour fruit kandis 3,5mg/kgBB), dose III (17,5 mg/kgBB noni leaves ekstract and sour fruit kandis 14mg/kgBB), the positive control group were given Orlistat and negative group were only given food to eat and drink. The observed parameters include weight loss, abdominal width, body length, skin fold, body mass indeks. The results showed that noni leaf extract and fruit kandis can be used as a weight loss with the most effective dose is 17,5 mg /kg BB noni leaf + 14 mg/kg BB fruit kandis with the most effective treatment is 14 days. Key words : Noni Leaf and fruit kandis, Feeding a High-Fat Calories,  Obesity Parameters, Rats male Sprague Dawley.
