Abstract

Firewall atau tembok-api adalah sebuah sistem atau perangkat yang mengizinkantraffic networking yang dianggap aman untuk melaluinya dan mencegah trafficnetwork yang tidak aman. Umumnya, sebuah firewall diterapkan dalam sebuahmesin terdedikasi, yang berjalan pada pintu gerbang (gateway) antara danjaringan lainnya. Firewall umumnya juga digunakan untuk terhadap siapa sajayang memiliki akses terhadap jaringan pribadi dari pihak luar. Saat ini, istilahfirewall menjadi istilah lazim yang merujuk pada sistem yang mengatur komunikasiantar dua jaringan yang berbeda. Mengingat saat ini banyak perusahaan yangmemiliki akses ke Internet dan juga tentu saja jaringan berbadan hukum didalamnya, maka perlindungan terhadap modal digital perusahaan tersebut dariserangan para , pemata-mata, ataupun pencuri lainnya, menjadi hakikat.Penerapan Thread Management Gateway merupakan salah satu cara untukmendukung pembentukan mekanisme firewall pada Microsoft Forefront.

Abstract

This paper investigates the agency theory of dividend policy in emerging marketsuch in Indonesia. The main innovation is achieved by introducing business groupaffiliation into the original cost minimisation model. Using pooled cross sectiontime series of 59 companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange with 135observasions, the result shows that only financial leverage, growth, size, and thepercentage held by the institusional that statistically significant effect the dividendpayout ratio.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the shifts occured in the translation of Englishpassive constructions into Indonesian. The data for the research are taken fromtwo novels, they are: the English version, entitled The Naked Face by SidneySheldon and its Indonesian version, entitled Wajah Sang Pembunuh by AntonAdiwiyoto. In this research, the writer uses a description method. It means all ofthe data that are analyzed are in the form of phenomenon description, not in theform of numbers but in the form of words and sentences. Data are classified intotwo categories, they are: 1) the occurence of shift of English passive – Indonesianpassive, and 2) the occurence of shift of English passive – Indonesian active. Thekinds of shifts that occur are structural and rank shift.

Abstract

One of the literary works is novel. In the novel we can find many kinds of character.This research aims to find out the characteristics of Helen Keller by usingpsychological approach and to describe the factors influence Helen Keller tostruggle in obtaining the equal confession as usual human. This research usedqualitative method in analyzing the data. The data is taken from Helen Keller’sNovel “The Story of My Life” and in the form of quotation from novel that relatedto Helen Keller’s characters. The result of this research are the characteristics ofHelen Keller in term of angry, naughty, curiosity, struggle, eager, clever, dilligent,care, confident, brave, independent. There are also some factors that influence thecharacteristics of Helen Keller, such as: Influence from family, teacher and famouspeople.

Abstract

One of the export commodities of the most important fishery and generate a lot offoreign exchange other than tuna fish are shrimp, particularly the type Penausmonodon shrimp have a good comparative competitiveness in internationalmarkets. This condition has resulted in many countries or communities providingraw materials not only tegantung on shrimp fishing in the sea, but also conductan intensive shrimp culture and tend to be large-scale and poorly controlled, withparticular regard to carrying capacity of nature. These activities directly impactthe health of shrimp from several attacks of shrimp diseases, such as bacteria andviruses vibrios. To overcome this illness shrimp farmers were using antibiotics,and even some antibiotics that are prohibited for use in products panganpun alsoencountered in the field, such as CHP and nitrofuran and its derivatives. Theseillicit practices of antibiotic use had a devastating impact on exports of fisheryproducts to the main destination countries, particularly the EU and the U.S.
