Abstract

This paper introduces an overview of a rectifying antenna (rectenna) circuit topology for microwave power transmission system. Specially, a rectenna based on a microstrip patch antenna and a microwave double voltage rectifier at 2.45GHz were designed and fabricated.  The antenna’s return loss is achieved of -15 dB at 2.45GHz. The microwave to DC conversion efficiency of the rectenna was measured as 71.5% with 22 dBm input power and 810 Ohm load. The design  and simulated results  were  carried out  by  the  microwave engineering professional  design software,  known as ADS2009 package. All design and simulation results will be reported.

Abstract

By using thermal photography the quality of an electro-mechanical relay can be examined during production and the reliability of the series can be guaranteed at higher electric current values during commutation process. During exploitation thermal photography is provided information about the degree of wearing out of contacts and to help determine which contacts need to be replaced. By means of thermal photography the duration of gas discharge is determined and this duration is an indicator about the speed of wearing out of the contacts. Abstract

Music has lyrics and audio. That’s components can be a feature for music emotion classification. Lyric features were extracted from text data and audio features were extracted from audio signal data.In the classification of emotions, emotion corpus is required for lyrical feature extraction. Corpus Based Emotion (CBE) succeed to increase the value of F-Measure for emotion classification on text documents. The music document has an unstructured format compared with the article text document. So it requires good preprocessing and conversion process before classification process. We used MIREX Dataset for this research. Psycholinguistic and stylistic features were used as lyrics features. Psycholinguistic feature was a feature that related to the category of emotion. In this research, CBE used to support the extraction process of psycholinguistic feature. Stylistic features related with usage of unique words in the lyrics, e.g. ‘ooh’, ‘ah’, ‘yeah’, etc. Energy, temporal and spectrum features were extracted for audio features.The best test result for music emotion classification was the application of Random Forest methods for lyrics and audio features. The value of F-measure was 56.8%.

Abstract

In this paper, interleaved power factor correction (PFC) boost converter based control strategy for BLDC motor has been Proposed. The converter exhibits the characteristics of voltage doublers for duty greater than 0.5. The switching losses and losses during reverse recovery operation are considerably reduced in this proposed topology. This is due reduction in switching voltages due to voltage doubler mode. The proposed topology has high efficiency compared to conventional counterpart due to slight increase in conduction losses. In this paper, the proposed PFC control Strategy has been applied to a six switch and four switch VSI fed BLDC Motor drive for effective torque ripple minimization. A comparison is also made between the six switch and Four Switch VSI fed PMBLDC Motor drive.

Abstract

A new method of sink location security in a Wireless Sensor Network is proposed. In the proposed scheme, all the node addresses are encrypted and an attacker cannot determine the real sink address by capturing the packets and analyzing its contents for the final destination. The main contribution of our proposed method is to use random routing scheme with misleading dead ends. This provides security against traffic analysis attack.

Abstract

Significant exploitation and utilization of cloud computing in industry is come with and in the identical time vulnerable by unease regarding protection of data hold by cloud computing providers. One of the penalties of moving data processing and storage off business site is that organizations have fewer controls over their infrastructure. seeing that, cloud service (CS) providers must hope that the CS provider is capable to protect their data and infrastructure from both exterior and domestic attacks. Presently however, such hope can only rely on organizational procedures stated by the CS provider and cannot be remotely verified and validated by an external party. The central distinction between cloud computing and conventional enterprise internal Information Technology services is that the proprietor and the consumer of cloud Information Technology infrastructures are separated in cloud. This transform requires a safety responsibility severance in cloud computing. Cloud service providers (CSP) should safe the services they propose and cannot surpass the customers’ authorities. Virtualization is a buildup utterance in the Information Technology world. With the assure to reduce the ever mounting infrastructure inside data centers connected to other important apprehensions such as ease of use and scalability, virtualization technology has been in advance recognition not only with IT experts yet also among administrators and executives as well. The progressively more growing rate of the approval of this technology has exposed these systems to new protection concerns which in recent history have been unnoticed or merely overlooked. This paper presents an in depth state of art gaze at  present most old server virtualization explanations, as well as a writing study on different security matters found inside this virtualization technology. These problems can be practical to all the existing virtualization technologies accessible with no spotlight on a specific answer. Nevertheless, we do susceptibility investigation of two of the mainstream recognized virtualization answers: VMware ESX and Xen. to conclude, we illustrate some clarifications on how to progress the security of online banking and electronic commerce, using virtualization.

Abstract

In Natural Language Processing (NLP), Word segmentation and Part-of-Speech (POS) tagging are fundamental tasks. The POS information is also necessary in NLP’s preprocessing work applications such as machine translation (MT), information retrieval (IR), etc. Currently, there are many research efforts in word segmentation and POS tagging developed separately with different methods to get high performance and accuracy. For Myanmar Language, there are also separate word segmentors and POS taggers based on statistical approaches such as Neural Network (NN) and Hidden Markov Models (HMMs). But, as the Myanmar language's complex morphological structure, the OOV problem still exists. To keep away from error and improve segmentation by utilizing POS data, segmentation and labeling should be possible at the same time.The main goal of developing POS tagger for any Language is to improve accuracy of tagging and remove ambiguity in sentences due to language structure. This paper focuses on developing word segmentation and Part-of- Speech (POS) Tagger for Myanmar Language. This paper presented the comparison of separate word segmentation and POS tagging with joint word segmentation and POS tagging.

Abstract

In this paper, a novel bidirectional underwater visible light communication (BiUVLC) is proposed. The VLC transmitter transmits an information signal using the one of RGB LED through the water tank that represents an underwater environment and then is received by VLC receiver via a color filter. The color LEDs and color filters are utilized in bidirectional systems. The single link is created by a LED on the transmitter and the color filter on the receiver with the same color which represents a single wavelength. The performance of the proposed BiUVLC system was evaluated via implementations. The experimental result shows that the transmitted signal undergoes attenuation over the underwater optical channel and the pair of the blue wavelength in link 1 and the green wavelength in link 2 have the best performance than the other wavelength pair. In the crosstalk measurement, the red wavelength color is the worst in the underwater environment.

Abstract

Unsupervised leaning is a popular method for classify unlabeled dataset i.e. without prior knowledge about data class. Many of unsupervised learning are used to inspect and classify network flow. This paper presents in-deep study for three unsupervised classifiers, namely: K-means, K-nearest neighbor and Expectation maximization. The methodologies and how it’s employed to classify network flow are elaborated in details. The three classifiers are evaluated using three significant metrics, which are classification accuracy, classification speed and memory consuming. The K-nearest neighbor introduce better results for accuracy and memory; while K-means announce lowest processing time.

Abstract

Many researches have been conducted in smart home topic. Mostly, they discussed on the specific aspect of application. On the other side, many applications still can be explored and attached into the system. Several main challenges in designing the application devices are system complexity, reliability, user friendliness, portability, and low power consumption. Thus, design of electronic driver is one of the key elements for overcoming these challenges. Moreover, the drivers have to comply the rules of smart home system, data protocol, and application purpose. Hence, we propose a rapid prototyping methodology on designing lightweight electronic drivers for smart home appliances. This methodology consists of three main aspects, namely smart home system understanding, circuitry concept, and programming concept. By using this method, functional and lightweight drivers can be achieved quickly without major changes and modifications in home electrical system. They can be remotely controlled and monitored anytime and from anywhere. For prototyping, we design several drivers to represent common electronic and mechanical based applications. Experimental results prove that the proposed design methodology can achieve the research target.
