Abstract

Retail Banking (BPR) in Jetis Ponorogo has interest in its business survival partly because of the high loyalty of its customers. Therefore, it is essential to know what factors influence the customer’s loyalty. The appropriate method for addressing the above-mentioned problem is factor analysis. Data collected from a sample of 155 respondents and there are 12 variables used in this study. The results are from 12 variables, all of them are usable and grouped into five new factor based on eigen value more than 1 (> = 1). The five factors are: Humane Products Factor has eigen value of 2,597 with variant percentage of 21,643%; Trust Factor has eigen value of 2,096 with variant percentage of 17,463%; Sincerity Factor has eigen value of 1,536 with variant percentage of 12,797%; Hospitality Factor has eigen value of 1,261 with variant percentage of 10,506%; Professionalism Factor has eigen value of 1,067 with variant percentage of 8,888%. From correlation matrix, we get value from Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity (BTS) of 433,290, which suggest that on correlation matrix there are correlation between factors supported by Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) value of 0,606 and variant cumulative value of 71,298%.Based on the results, it is suggested that it would be better for the company to develop some humane product factor analyzed in this study because it is the predominant factor in affecting the customers’ loyalty. The customers’ loyalty is an important factor in guarantee the survival of Retail Banking (BPR) in Jetis Ponorogo.

Abstract

The implementation of reloading activity is based on the rule which is exist and behaved according to each port’s condition, where the training and supervising are done and  consist of the government thoroughly, the reloading workers and the reloading company factor. In the reloading activity, any kind of problems and the consideration of reloading company expands large cost for reloading taxes which is consist of stevedoring, cargodoring, and receiving/ delivery, so it can decrease the export import volume. In addition to make efficiency, in reloading operation needs absolute plan, so it can make an effective work plan with an optimal result. Corporation between each person in the field or the person who take a hand in the administration will be influenced much from the reloading taxes problem. For the increasing reloading taxes to face the competition between company, international competition intervention, the economic condition which is unstable and the fast growing technology development are the external factors which make the company should find a new trick to functioned the human resources and the budget more effective and efficient. The aim of this research is to investigate the influence of stevedoring, cargodoring, and receiving/ delivery taxes toward pet feed reloading volume at Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya in 1995 - 2004. The analysis which is used in this research are double linier regression. From this regression can be found Y = 203153,8 +16,128X1 – 484,036X2+ 224,570X3. Regression analysis also shows that all of the independent variable simultaneously have significant effect toward pet feed reloading volume at Tanjung Perak port Surabaya. Nevertheless, based on partial test, only stevedoring variable and cargodoring which have significant effect on reloading volume.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to formulate/ to identify the apparent impact of the policy of credit point assessment of lecturer academic position as stated in national education minister’s decree No. 36/D/O/2001 and to give input to the decision maker to consider the impact when they make correction toward the policy. Besides that, its purpose is to provide the description to the leaders of private colleges and to the lecturers who are instructed to work there and the foundation lecturer that the academic position is very important both for themselves and for increasing the private college independence. The result of this research shows that there is increase quantitatively of full time lecturer qualification, the ratio between the number of full time lecturers and the number of student and graduates. However, the quantitative increase is not comparable with the expected target of a policy such as accreditation, lecturers ranks, examiners and so on.There are some factors which impede the achievement of private college independence of coordinator of private college of region VII that is policy factor itself, aparatus as the policy operators and the motivation of the private colleges.Related to the problem above, it is necessary to create monitoring mechanism which enables the private colleges to encourage to increase the qualification of the full time lecturers periodically both through the level increase of formal education (S-2/S-3) and through the increase of their rank of academic position, and the private colleges are given real authority in carrying out their functions.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the existence of intra-industry information transfer of the announcement of rights issue. This research has three tests. First, it is the information content test of the announcement of rights issue by issuers firm (event study standard). Second, it is an intra-industry information transfer test that examines information content of the announcement of rights issue by non-issuers firm. Two-first tests verify the significance of abnormal return obtained by issuers firm and non-issuers firm through t-test. Third, it is a regression test, which is to examine the influence of variable of bid-ask spread and variable of relative size of rights issue – as independent variables to variable of non-issuers firm’s abnormal return – as dependent variable. The samples of this study consist of 32 issuers firm and 149 non-issuers firm. All of them are the members of manufacturing firm listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) in the period of 1997-2002. This study uses purposive sampling method. The window period is ten days surrounding of the announcement of rights issue (-5, 0, +5). The event date is the listing date of rights issue in JSX.The results of this study are as follows. First, there is information content for the announcement of rights issue that is shown with the existence of marginally significant negative abnormal return obtained by issuers on t-1. This result confirms Marsden (2000). Second, there is an evidence about intra-industry information transfer – there is a significantly positive abnormal return on t-3 and a significantly negative abnormal retun on t+4. Both of them show the existence of contagion effect because the direction of issuers firms and non-issuers firm’s abnormal return on t-3 and t+4 (when the intra-industry information transfer exists significantly) is equal. It shows that commonality industrial factors have the role in this research. The negative intra-indutry information transfer confirms Szewczyk (1992). Third, there is not a significantly influence for variable of bid-ask spread and variable of relative size of rights issue to variable of non-issuers firm’s abnormal return.
