Abstract

Bioethanol can be used as a substitution of fosil fuel as a fuel stove or motor vehicle. In the ordinary distillation bioethanol production process is only able to produce 50-70% of ethanol which can only be used to fuel stove. To obtain high-grade bioethanol, a multilevel distillation process is required. One of the distillation methods to purify bioethanol is rectification distillation. The purpose of this research is to design a sieve tray type rectifier distillation apparatus that used to increase the bioethanol content. The results showed that the device can increase the ethanol content from 37% to 90%.

Abstract

This study was conducted from 6 to 12 November 2000 in Reproduction Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Faculty. The purpose of this study was to know difference of parakeet spermatozoa concentration in variation of collecting frequency level. The result is hoped useful in giving information about collecting frequency level hold for a week. The material use were 3 adult male parakeet took their semen during a week for three times collection by interval to days. The method was complete randomized design. The treatments were comparing spermatozoa concentration of the adult male parakeet in variation of collecting frequency level. The data obtained were analyzed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result of study showed that spermatozoa spermatozoa concentration rate of different level for the first, second, and third frequency was 81,33 ± 5,35 107/ml; 70,33 ± 7,32 107/ml; and 43,33 ± 5,35 107/ml respectively. There was significant different effect (P<0,01) in collection frequency level on the spermatozoa concentration. The result of DMRT showed that the fist and second collecting was similar but unsimilar to the third. The conclusion of this study was the collecting frequency gives significant effect (P<0,01) on the spermatozoa concentration of the parakeet. The first and second collecting has no significant effect on the spermatozoa concentration, so that it is considerable that the optimal number of collecting for the semen of the parakeet was twice a week.

Abstract

Corporate performance can be measured financially and non-financially. Non-financial measurements cannot be separated from the financial measurements. The aims of this study was to describe of how performance measurement systems that has been conducted at tea agroindustry on Kebun Bantaran PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII to achieve success areas of tea agroindustry. The system was built to adopt from Integrated Dynamic Performance Measurement Systems (IDPMS) model. Interviews, observations, and company’s documents were conducted to gather empirical information regarding the needs of developing new appraisal system. Four integrated functional area of the models are corporate management, factory management, production line, and lab QC. Each functional areas were linked through the specification, reporting, and dynamic updating of the defined areas of success, performance measure, and performance standard. Understanding interrelatioships of performance measurements provides the foundation for more focused improvement effort.

Abstract

Employees are a mover of company’s operating system. Work safety and work healthy factors are affect in giving a sense of security and comfort to our employees in doing their jobs. This research was conducted on employees of theProduction PTPN XI PG Asembagus Situbondo. In this research, the variables used are Work Safety (X1), Work Healthy (X2) and the Work Productivity (Y). The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of the independent variables simultaneously and partially to the Work Productivity of employees. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression including the coefficient of determination, F test and t test. The results of this study show that: 1) Variable Work Safety (X1) and Work Healthy (X2) effect simultaneously to the Work Productivity (Y) production employees of PTPN XI PG Asembagus, 2) Variable Work Safety (X1) had no significant effect the Work productivity (Y) production employees of PTPN XI PG Asembagus, 3) Variable Work Healthy (X2) has a significant influence on the Work Productivity (Y) production employees of PTPN XI PG Asembagus.

Abstract

In the province of East Java, Jember Regency is sixth largest soybean producer with total production are 25.178 tons in the 2015. Soybean Commodities in Jember Regency was an area harvested in 2015 covered an area of 12.238 Ha spread over several districts in Jember Regency. This research was intended to determine the soybean centers on Jember Regency, distribution characteristics of soybean comodities in the bases sector regional of Jember Regency, and the role of soybean comodities in supporting of agricultural sector in Jember Regency. The analysis methods used in this research were Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, lokalita analysis and specialization analysis of soybean commodities, as well as Analysis of  Basic Service Ratio (BSR), Regional Multiplier (RM), and Short Multiplier. Results Location Quotient (LQ) Analysis showed that the base area of soybean comodities based on indicators of harvested area consists of 10 subdistricts they were: Bangsalsari Sub District, Umbulsari, Jombang, Balung, Rambipuji, Ajung, Kaliwates, Kencong, Jenggawah, and Ambulu Sub District. Soybean commodities base area based on indicators of production consists of 9 subdistricts they were: Bangsalsari Sub District, Umbulsari, Balung, Rambipuji, Jombang, Ajung, Kaliwates, Kencong, and Jenggawah Sub District. Commodities soybean farming in Jember Regency were not concentrated in one area, but spread across several districts in Jember Regency, and were not specialized in soybeans commodity farm. Commodities soybean farming in Jember Regency also could participate in support the agricultural sectors of food crops in Jember Regency.

Abstract

Crime is one of the classic problems faced big city. One type of crime that is rampant today is theft. Many thieves go home using a duplicate key or use a special way to unlock the door. Therefore we need a tool that is able to anticipate the occurrence of theft, a system that uses a special key. Key that only identical by the owner of the house, one of which is the face. In this final project created a door security system using facial recognition as a key to opening the door. The method used in this tool is the method fisherface. The primary step in the introduction of this face, that face detection, PCA calculation, calculation of FLD. The security system consists of three main parts: a webcam, microcontroller arduino uno, and laptops as database storage. Image of the user's face will be taken by using a webcam. Captured images are stored in the laptop database and matched with the existing database. The results will feed into the microcontroller arduino whether the door is open or locked. Keywords: Door Security, Fisherface, Arduino

Abstract

Wind speed, rainfall, solar radiation, temperature, relative humidity, and soil acidity are the components affecting climate, whereas climate has a major influence in agriculture. This study aims to develop measurement technology of several components which give influence to the climate, such as wind speed, rainfall, solar radiation, temperature, relative humidity, and soil acidity. Those sensors are integrated in a prototype called the Portable Mini Weather Station. This research is a Competitive Grant Program funded by Kemristekdikti for two years. The research method applied is the design and manufacture of prototype as well as its performance test in the first year. While in the second year is an improving this model by adding solar cells and dry battery, so that, this device can recharge or generate power independently to fulfill its operational needs. Besides, there is the addition of logger data along with module modification that translates inputs from several sensors to the LCD. Then, the weather information will be stored into the logger data. Keywords - Portable Mini Weather Station, components affecting climate, performance test, prototype, logger data
