Abstract

Has conducted research that aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of models problem based learning based on a scientific approach to the mastery of concepts. The study design using pretest-posttest control group. The study population was divided into two parallel classes as many as 58 students. The sampling technique used technique. purposive sampling Samples of this research is class XI-IPA4 as an experimental class at 29 students and class XI IPA1 as the control class as many as 29 students. Research instruments to determine the characteristics of the concept of using the format of concept analysis and concept map format. Profile mastery of concepts using reasoned multiple choice test items as much as 10 numbers. Increasing mastery of the concept of using formula. The N-gain The effectiveness of learning using different test formula (t). As well as the responses of students using a questionnaire. Based on the analysis found the data: (1) There are 14 label concept in the subject matter solubility and solubility product, consisting of 28% concept stating abstract principles include: Equilibrium Solubility, K o n s t a n t a S o l u b i l i t y P r o d u c t (Ksp), Q u o s i e n S o l u b i l i t y P r o d u c t (Qsp), and the electrolyte is difficult Late, there are 14.29% concept that states the size of the attributes include: temperature and degree of acidity (pH), as well as 57.14% are concepts that express the process include: solubility, homogenity ion, Precipitation, electrolytes, electrolytes binary, ternary electrolytes, electrolytes Quaternary, Saturated solution; (2) Obtained comparisonmean score of post- test the highest and lowest grade students mastery of concept experiment and control class. Comparison of scores post-test highest, 97.04> 94.58 on the label Saturated Solution concept, while the scores compare post-test experimental class that is 72.70 lows on the label concept ternary electrolytes and 70.43% in the control group; (3) The N-Indexgain of 0.77 categorized experimental class higher than the control class was 0.70 category being; (4) The application of models problem based learning based on experimental class scientific approach effectively improve the mastery of concepts students with post-test and N-gain sig. (2-tailed) <0,05, then effective to apply to groups of high and medium-ability students; (5) The application ofmodels problem based learning based on scientific approach has a good response with the percentage of 75.16%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Laboratory Jargon dan miskonsepsi dalam materi asam-basa pada siswa SMA kelas XI. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di lima SMA pada kecamatan Pulogadung, Jakarta Timur sebanyak 320 siswa.. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei kuantitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi saat pembelajaran, jawaban siswa pada Kuesioner Laboratory Jargon, dan wawancara siswa. Miskonsepsi yang dibahas pada penelitian ini terkait dengan beberapa konsep pada materi asam-basa, yaitu konsep atom dan molekul; definisi asam basa; disosiasi air; asam-basa lemah; konsentrasi air; pembentukan ion asam-basa; reaksi netralisasi; kekuatan asam (pH); indikator asam basa; serta sifat amfoter air. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari sepuluh konsep tersebut masih banyak siswa yang memilih jawaban Laboratory Jargon yang merupakan pernyataan miskonsepsi. Persentase miskonsepsi siswa rata-rata dari sepuluh konsep tersebut adalah 64,44%. Persentase miskonsepsi siswa yang paling besar adalah pada konsep sifat amfoter air yaitu 85,31% kemudian konsep kekuatan asam (pH) yaitu 75,62%. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara sebagian besar siswa memilih jawaban miskonsepsi disebabkan karena siswa terbiasa mempelajari suatu konsep kimia dengan Laboratory Jargon baik dari guru atau sumber belajar. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model mental siswa di salah satu SMA di Pandeglang pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah etnografi yang merupakan salah satu tipe penelitian studi kasus yang terfokus memahami latar belakang partisipan. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi kelas, wawancara, reflektif jurnal siswa, free words association, dan free drawing techniques. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengkonstruksi model mental berdasarkan pemahaman dan pengalaman siswa yang dibantu dengan analogi yang dibuatnya dan dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik dan lingkungan sekitar siswa. Analogi ion bergerak bebas pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit yang dikonstruk siswa adalah ikan, lebah, kambing, sedangkan analogi ikatan ion yang dibuat siswa adalah sedekah, zakat, dan wakaf. Model mental siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit terbagi dalam model mental yang sesuai dengan konsep dan model mental yang tidak sesuai dengan konsep. Ketidaksesuaian model mental siswa dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman dan pengalaman siswa. Kata Kunci: model mental, kualitatif, larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit

Abstract

This research aims to develop students’ soft skills through integration STEAM approach in acid base learning. The research was conducted in year XI in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. This research employed qualitative research with data collection of interview, observation, and reflective journal. Learning activities were carried out by applying six stages of project-based learning, consisting of provide essential questions, design a plan for the project, create a project schedule, monitor students and project progress, assess or result the outcome, and evaluate the experience. Based on the results of the research can be concluded that integration of STEAM approach in project-based learning has developed students’ soft skills of cooperation, critical thinking, environmental awareness, responsibility, adaptability skills, and creative thinking. Abstract

This study aims to determine the digital literacy of students after learning process on colloidal topic using the Kahoot web. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 22 Jakarta, Indonesia in 2017/2018 school year using qualitative research methods. Web Kahoot is used as an evaluation tool in the learning process on colloidal topic. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, reflective journals, and dissemination of questionnaires for needs analysis and digital literacy. The dimensions of digital literacy analyzed in this study consist of information, communication, content-creation, safety and problem-solving. The results of this study show that students have a good category in the dimensions of information, communication, content-creation, and problem-solving, while the safety dimensions are categorized very well. Based on the results of the research, Kahoot web can foster students’ digital literacy in the learning process of colloidal topic. Keywords: Digital Literacy, Web Kahoot, Colloid
