Abstract

Traditional health services are public health services and are a system of treatment/care that is based on the philosophy and basic concepts of the whole person so that clients will be seen in a more humane way. Traditional health services are carried out using skilled methods, ingredients, or both. On average, health workers do not know about traditional health services at the Puskesmas and have never applied traditional health services, either in therapy or herbal ingredients, due to a lack of knowledge about traditional health. With increased knowledge and acceptance of traditional health services, it is hoped that this will become a promotive and preventive effort to maintain health independently. This research contributed to describing the knowledge and acceptance of health workers towards traditional health services at community health centers in Pekalongan Regency. This type of research is descriptive and quantitative with a cross-sectional design. Data collection is based on primary data in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis using univariate analysis. A sample of 92 respondents with the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research results were analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that the majority of respondents in the good knowledge category were women 60.9%, the good knowledge of the majority of respondents with an age range of 31-40 years was 31.5%, the good knowledge of the majority of D3 education levels was 48.9%, the good knowledge category was the majority of the nursing profession by 30 .4%. The majority of respondents in the good acceptance category were women, 39.1%, and the good acceptance of the majority of respondents in the age range of 41-50 years was 23.9%. The good acceptance of the majority of D3 education levels was 37%, and the good acceptance of the majority of the profession of nurses and midwives was 20.7%. Knowledge of the majority of health workers in the good category was 79.3%, and the acceptance of health workers was in the good category at 54.3%.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the world, stroke does not only have a negative impact on patients but also has an impact on family caregivers. This study aims to describe the burden experienced by family caregivers in caring for stroke patients. Methods: This research uses a mixed method with sequential explanatory approach. The research was conducted from August to October 2019 involved 106 family caregivers using a purposive sampling technique. Burden experienced was measured with the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) questionnaire. Quantitative data analysis was performed by SPSS and qualitative data analysis with Opencode. Results: Burden experienced was at a mild level, there was a significant relationship to education variables (p = 0.007, r = -0.297), family relationships (p = 0.001, r = 0.001), number of caregivers (p = 0.001, r = 0.364), and the patient's duration of stroke (p = 0.006, r = -0.322). There are three themes in this study, that is difficulties in caring, motivation for caring and sources of support. Conclusion: Although quantitatively the family caregiver experiences a mild burden, qualitatively the family caregiver reports complaints in caring for almost all aspects, so treatment is needed to resolve this burden.

Abstract

Pregnant women are a group of people who are vulnerable to health problems. Physiologically, pregnant women experience a decrease in the immune system, this is probably due to an adjustment in the body of pregnant women to babies who are semi-allogenic tissues. Information about COVID-19 during pregnancy that can interfere with the health of pregnant women is still very limited. The pandemic period is very important to break the chain of virus transmission and protect those who are at risk of contracting the virus, which can be done individually by always maintaining personal hygiene independently or in groups through social distancing. That one of the factors of behavior is knowledge. Knowledge that a person has affected behavior, the better a person's knowledge, the better his behavior. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and the COVID-19 prevention behavior. Methods: The design of this study was descriptive correlative with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study amounted to 86 respondents with a sample collection technique using random sampling. The research instrument used was the Covid-19 knowledge questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge of Covid-19 and prevention behavior. Statistical test using Spearman statistical test, this research has passed the Ethical clearance test with ethical number 194/KEPK.FIKES/ll.3.AU/2021. Results: The results of this study using the Spearman statistical test, based on the data obtained, it shows that there is a relationship between the knowledge of pregnant women about Covid-19 and the behavior of preventing transmission of Covid-19 infection. at the Grabag 1 Public Health Center with p-value = 0.650 and r = 0.212.

Abstract

Pain is a common complaint felt by mothers during labor. Massage can be used as an intervention to reduce labor pain. The study contributes to determining the effect of rubbing massage on pain in the first phase of active labor in Pekalongan City. This quantitative research uses a quasi-experiment approach with a pretest and posttest without a control group design. The population was the first phase of active maternity mothers in Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia, in September-November 2017. Samples of 21 mothers were taken using purposive sampling. Statistical tests use the Wilcoxon test. Most respondents of the young age category (> 26 years) are 12 mothers (57%). Respondents had the most junior high school education of 9 mothers (43%). The median of the pretest pain was six, and the posttest pain was 5. The bivariate results obtained a p-value of 0,000. The results showed that rubbing massage effectively reduces pain in first-phase active mothers.

Abstract

This behavior is deviant sexual behavior because it appears based on deviant sexual orientation, causing a person's tendency to direct his feelings of attraction, emotional and sexual, to men. The problem of homosexual deviant sexual behavior has no end to be discussed. This problem is a sensitive issue involving social, cultural, moral, and ethical aspects of society and rules in religion. However, it can still be found in MSM groups who are HIV positive and who are still actively carrying out risky activities whose impact will expand and increase the prevalence of HIV cases, especially in the MSM group. This study contributes to analyzing the factors of sexual deviation in the HIV MSM group. The study used descriptive research. The population in this study was 56 groups of sex men with HIV men who were still actively engaging in sexual activities. Sampling using the technique Non-Probability Sampling with total type sampling is 56 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by calculating the highest number of frequencies on the questionnaire (Frequency Distribution). The results show that of the five factors underlying the HIV MSM group who are still carrying out risk activities were categorized as having sufficient knowledge (62.5%), having an addiction (60.7%), economic factors (60.7%), having enough influence from peers (58.9%), influenced by authoritarian and permissive parenting styles (32.1%) and spiritual factors (48.2%. Sufficient knowledge factors are the most influential factors in sexual deviations that occur primarily in the HIV MSM group who are respondents, so it is expected to be able to focus more on prevention programs on the factors affecting the group. It is recommended to create a new program to reduce the impact of sexually deviant behavior on HIV MSM groups. Such as making an effective activity program (which can generate money) as a filler in spare time and a substitute for these sexual deviation activities. Psychological and spiritual approach program (Spiritual and Mental Health Awareness) where this program aims to improve spiritual (closeness to God) and also psychological so as not to have risky tendencies

Abstract

The nurses caring behaviour in the Emergency Room (ER) in Indonesia is still relatively low. Several studies state that factors that influence nurses caring behavior are age, marital status, work experience, and educational level. This study contributed to determining whether the differences in the ER nurse characteristics affected the caring behavior of the ER nurses. This study used a cross-sectional design. A total of 14 ER nurses and 28 ER patients were involved. The instrument uses the Gadar Caring Scale in the behavioral domain. Analysis used independent T-test and ANOVA. The results show that most of the respondents were women (78.6%), aged between 31-40 years (50%), had a D3 degree in nursing (92.9%), married (85.7%), and had worked for 10 to 20 years (50%). There was no difference between the characteristics of gender (p=0.36), age (p=0.53), education (p=0.31), marital status (p=0.94), and length of work in the hospital (p=0.24) in ER nurses caring behavior. The conclusion of this study was that the different characteristics of the ER nurses did not affect the caring behavior of the ER nurses. It was hoped that the nurse’s caring behavior would always be optimal because it’s important in the patient’s recovery.
