Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding durinthe first 6 months of infants is very important, especially in the early period of life, this is because it can affect the health of the baby. Efforts to overcome this include improving the quality of breast milk, one of which is consuming Moringa leaf extract capsules because of the phytosterols that can increase milk production. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of Moringa leaf extract capsules on breast milk production in breastfeeding women in the Cileles Health Center Lebak Banten. This study was a quasi-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study wes mothers and babies who breastfeeding in the Cileles Health Center which consists 15 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Analyzed using paired sample t-test. The results of univariate analysis of breast milk production in breastfeeding women before being given Moringa leaf extract obtained an average value = 5.40, the average post-test value was 7.47 so that the difference in the average value was 2.07. The results of the bivariate paired sample t-test have an effect with a significant value of 0.000. Conclusions and Suggestions: Moringa leaf extract capsules have an effect on breast milk production. It is hoped that midwives can apply it to breastfeeding women in the process of increasing breast milk production, one of which is by consuming extra Moringa leaf capsules or consuming vegetables and Moringa so that milk production increases.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is a contributor to high morbidity and mortality rates in children under five every year in developing countries, including Indonesia. The cause of the incidence of ARI in toddlers is due to individual factors (age, immunization status, gender, birth weight, exclusive breastfeeding and nutritional status), physical environmental factors (type of walls, temperature, humidity and density of housing, fuel for cooking) and behavioral factors. family members who smoke in the house. The purpose of the study was to analyze the incidence of ARI in children under five at the Cinta Kasih Hospital (CK) Tzu Chi Cengkareng-West Jakarta. Descriptive quantitative research design with a cross sectional approach and using retrospective data from medical record data. The research sample was 100 children under five ARI with random sampling technique. The results of the study explained that the majority of children under five who experienced ARI had an age of <25 months as much as 55%, 52% poor nutritional status, 53% complete immunization, 47% mild ARI incidence in toddlers at Tsu Chi Hospital. Statistical analysis using the Kendall Tau-b statistical test, explained that there was a relationship between birth weight under five (p value = 0.004), nutritional status (p value = 0.000), exclusive breastfeeding (p value = 0.002) and immunization (p value = 0.024) with the incidence of ARI at Tsu Chi Hospital. The conclusion is that it is better for families, especially mothers, it is important to maintain their health during pregnancy to prevent babies from being born LBW, the correct feeding of infants and children is to give exclusive breastfeeding and then complementary foods (ASI) to make the nutritional status of toddlers good, compliance with immunizations

Abstract

The demand for nursing services is an important concern because nursing care occupies the top position in hospital services, giving rise to a response to the quality of nursing services in hospitals. The responses that emerged included the concept of nursing management and concrete steps in its implementation in a conducive manner. This study aims to analyze the quality of nursing services performed by nurses at Puri Husada Tembilahan Hospital. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a femomenological design. The results of the study illustrate that the problems identified in the field of nursing consist of problems with the background of nurses' education, employment status, distribution of nurses and the quality of nursing services. The results of the analytical study carried out resulted in confirmation that the problems in the nursing field identified had influenced nurses in carrying out their main duties and functions. Nurses who cannot perform their main duties and functions properly will reduce the quality of nursing services in hospitals. It is recommended for hospital management to conduct a study of the quality of nursing services along with the nurse's background, the status of the nurse's workforce and the distribution of the nurse's workload.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hypertension in pregnancy is common and can be one of the top three (besides bleeding and infection) internal causes of death. The number of maternal deaths compiled from the recording of family health programs at the Ministry of Health in 2020 shows 4,627 deaths in Indonesia. Management of hypertension in pregnancy can be done with pharmacological therapy and also non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is by doing prenatal massage. Massage therapy has the advantage that it can reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol, decrease levels of depression and anxiety, reduce the risk of heart attack, kidney failure, and stroke and improve blood flow. Thus, pregnancy massage can be used in therapy to lower blood pressure in pregnant patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Prenatal Massage on reducing blood pressure of pregnant women with pregnancy hypertension at PMB Dince Syafrina. This type of research is quasi experimental with a one group pretest posttest approach. The sample in this study were pregnant women with hypertension during pregnancy who visited PMB Dince Syafrina from January-April 2022, totaling 35 pregnant women with hypertension. The analysis carried out is univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that the average pre-systolic blood pressure value for pregnant women was 136.03 mmHg with a standard deviation of 9,083and the average post-systolic blood pressure for pregnant women was 130.94 mmHg with a standard deviation of 8,775 while the average diastolic blood pressure value for pregnant women was pregnant women is 90.77 mmHg with a standard deviation of 6,399 and the average post diastolic blood pressure of pregnant women is 85.91 mmHg with a standard deviation of 4,925. Statistical test results show p value 0.001 which means <0.05, it can be concluded that prenatal massage performed on pregnant women with high blood pressure can reduce blood pressure in pregnant women.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding has a significant effect on the quality of the baby's health. The fact is that only 1 in 2 babies under 6 months are getting exclusive breastfeeding. One way that can affect the increase in breast milk production is by means of massage techniques. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of effleurage massage on breast milk production in post partum mothers This type of research is a quantitative study in the form of a quasi-experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all post partum mothers who gave birth at LMT Siregar Clinic as many as 14 people and the research sample using accidental sampling technique was 14 people who were divided into 2 groups, intervention and control. Collecting data using observation sheets which were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a p-value of 0.038 in the intervention group and a p-value of 0.083 in the control group. The conclusion is the difference in the production of post partum mother's milk before and after the effleurage massage in the intervention group but there is no difference in the production of breast milk in the control group. For this reason is expected to provide health education on how to increase milk production with effleurage massage techniques and the need to provide support to families to carry out complementary therapy with effleurage massage techniques to increase prolactin hormone levels.

Abstract

Asphyxia is a condition in which the baby cannot breathe, thus reducing O2 and increasing CO2 which is bad. Risk factors for the incidence of asphyxia are maternal factors such as his disorder, presence of antepartum bleeding, maternal age less than 20 years or more than 35 years, primiparous and grande multiparous, low socioeconomic, preeclampsia and his disorders. Infant factors, namely respiratory depression due to anesthesia or analgesic drugs given to the mother, intracranial bleeding, congenital abnormalities, premature, postmature, location abnormalities, twins, shoulder dystocia, vacuum extraction, forceps, amniotic fluid mixed with meconium. Placental factors include umbilical cord twisting, short umbilical cord, umbilical cord knot, and umbilical cord prolapse. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women about risk factors for newborn asphyxia with delivery referral planning. This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross sectional research design. This research was conducted at Puskesmas RI Sidomulyo with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed a relationship between mother's knowledge of risk factors for newborn asphyxia and delivery referral planning with p value = 0.007. This study is expected for midwives in providing midwifery services to pregnant women to provide knowledge about the risk factors for newborn asphyxia so that pregnant women can make a labor referral plan if during the delivery process they experience the risk of newborn asphyxia and the knowledge of pregnant women about risk factors for infant asphyxia. newborns so that they can plan a delivery referral if an emergency case is found in a newborn.

Abstract

Menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is experienced by 55% of the population. This dysmenorrhea can cause the body to become weak and interfere with school activities for young girls. The treatment for dysmenorrhea is that young women can consult a doctor, drink herbal concoctions or do light physical activities. The purpose of the study was to determine the knowledge and behavior of adolescent girls in overcoming dysmenorrhea at SMAN 13 Muara Fajar Pekanbaru. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional design. The number of samples obtained was 44 people with purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. In this study, the data were analyzed univariately and bivariately with Chi Square Test. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained P value = 0.029 <0.05. This can be interpreted that there is a relationship between the knowledge of adolescents about handling dysmenorrhea with the behavior of young women in overcoming dysmenorrhea. In the results of the analysis, the value of OR = 8.035, which means that young women who have good knowledge will be at risk of doing good behavior 8 times in overcoming dysmenorrhea.
