Abstract

The progress of time continually accompanied by the development of technology. It leads to the competition among industries that require them to have superiority to attract more consumers. X Fashion is one of the fashion industries which sells various apparel products for people in the sale of large or small scale. The business processes of X Fashion is procuring products, managing inventory, sales, and managing finance. A lot of variations and number of products in the store are not in balance with a good management because all forms of recording are done manually. It causes potential error so that the information disseminated is inaccurate. Based on this consideration, a research is conducted as inventory and sales information system design on X Fashion clothing store to identify business process also to design an inventory and sales information system on X Fashion clothing store. The method used is Systems Development Life Cycle which consists of systematic steps for developing, designing, and maintaining the system to meet the needs of users, including supervision, recording, and reporting. Information system is designed to provide stock data, expense, and income reports automatically. Testing of the system includes system testing, function testing, learnability, logic testing, memorability, and measurement of satisfaction. Based on the test results, the information system was stated feasible and can be used to support business processes on X Fashion clothing store. Suggestions for further research on information system design are development of system design in order to be compatible on smartphone, also an addition of brief information on every control or using user guide in order to describe system function

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a logistics service company engaged in freight forwarding services for ships / air ships and warehousing. In its operations, the company experienced a problem, namely the flow of containers that entered the company's container yard capacity experienced overcapacity. The purpose of this study was to deter-mine the results of the measurement of container yard capacity using the yard occupancy ratio at PT. XYZ This study uses the Yard Occupancy Ratio (YOR) method to determine the capacity of the container yard, while for forecasting using moving averages and exponential smoothing. Meanwhile, to calculate forecast error using mean squared error and mean absolute percent error. Based on the results of measurements made that the results of forecasting container flows for July 2019 to December 2019 amounted to 1,487 containers, 1,493 con-tainers, 1,614 containers, 1,377 containers, 1,532 containers and 1,495 contain-ers, respectively. Based on the results of the YOR analysis that scenario 3 is the best scenario compared to scenario 1 and scenario 2, because it produces a low-er YOR value, namely for July 2019 at 45%, August 2019 at 45%, September 2019 at 48%, October 2019 at 41%, November 2019 at 46% and December 2019 at 45%. This means that by using the YOR method there will be no overcapasity in the future because the YOR value does not exceed 100%.

Abstract

All the time, innovative and new technologies continue to be developed. This forces anyone involved in the logistics industry to adapt so as not to be left behind and experience adverse effects. With the 4.0 industrial revolution, now many companies are starting to implement digitalization in their logistics activities. There are five main technologies that must be considered in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, namely Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Wearable Technology (WT), Advanced Robotic (AR) and 3D Printing (3DP). This research was conducted to explore the benefits and impacts of digitizing the logistics process in the Industrial 4.0 era by examining it from various sources. The results showed that the use of technology for digitizing logistics provided many benefits both for individuals and for corporate organizations. The stakeholders are expected to be able to work together adequately to ensure the technology present in the Industrial 4.0 era provides the benefits that are expected.

Abstract

The process of distributing goods is precisely determined from the transportation service provider used. The transportation used will affect a supply chain can be fulfilled properly or not. The decision to choose the right vendor is based on the selection of criteria from each service provider that suits the needs of the company itself. The selection of the wrong criteria will have an impact on the services provided to customers, one of which is the delay factor. Delays that occur are dominated by shipping by land. Analysis of the selection of the right vendor is done by applying the AHP and TOPSIS methods. The criteria used consist of price, quality, delivery, flexibility and reliability. Application of AHP and TOPSIS methods will provide an assessment of each of these vendors so they can determine the best vendor. The selection of the best vendor starts from determining the weight of each predetermined criterion. Each criterion will be correlated with each other which will then be weighted by each criterion. The results of determining the best vendor are obtained with the highest weight value of 0.807 obtained by Japung using the TOPSIS method.

Abstract

One of the main issues in the city of Cirebon is the problem of waste management. The City of Cirebon's Environmental Service is tasked with managing waste from Households and Industries to the Garbage Collection Site (TPS) to the Final Disposal Site (TPA). The business process of transporting waste from TPS to TPA still often experiences obstacles, one of which is the delay in transportation from TPS to TPA because it does not pay attention to the connectivity of waste flow and information flow as a single entity that forms a waste logistics network. The purpose of this study is to propose the design of waste logistics policy through improving the waste logistics business process. The research method applied by using the fishbone diagram and five whys analysis methods sourced from interviews, and field observations in finding the fundamental problems of each business process. The basic problem based on the results of the analysis is the accumulation of waste at the TPS. With the results of observations it will be designed improvements with streamlining tools analysis tools on Business Process Improvement (BPI) in presenting business process recommendations. Based on business process recommendations, then run a simulation to see performance improvements for each business process, with an increase in the performance of garbage delivery trucks from TPS to TPA by 34.31% so as to reduce the accumulation of waste in TPS.

Abstract

Upstream oil and gas industry is one industry that has an important role in the economic movement in Indonesia. Products produced by this industry, namely oil and gas, are one of the largest energy sources in Indonesia. High demand must be supported by rapid exploration and production activities. This activity must be supported by other divisions, one of which is the procurement of goods and services. The main problem currently faced by companies is the length of the procurement process causing the duration of the procurement process to be long. There are 2 factors that cause the duration of procurement duration, namely technical bid evaluation by the user and pre-qualification activities. This research uses quantitative methods by calculating process cycle efficiency and value stream mapping. The results of this study show using the offline method, the resulting process efficiency cycle is 60.59% and the duration of procurement is 67 days. Using the combination of online and offline methods, the process cycle efficiency increased to 73.06% with a procurement duration of 59 days. This shows that the online method can reduce the duration of procurement by up to 8 days with a process cycle efficiency increasing by 12.47%. However, both methods have their advantages and disadvantages so it is proposed that the two methods can be combined to produce less time.

Abstract

One of the creative industry’ products which are inside of it are writings and pictures produced from one's creative thinking is book. For some communities, reading physical books are still an option if compared with reading digital book or called e-book. This is related with the age, neighborhood, social status and the level of education. Along with the development of the times, there has been a lot of growing up the publishing industry and also the profession of book writer, but it is not end by printing physical books, but in digital platform only. The process of e-book selling is increase every day and it become a capable industry to sustain the economic needs of communities. The quantitative research that compiled by collecting questionnaire data to the people of Jakarta and surrounding areas provides data presentation that Ebooks and physical books are important factors that influence people's interest in reading in the industrial era 4.0. Both types of books have their own appeal to attract individual mints according to different age groups.

Abstract

Very limited capacity of the highway in some economies tract, such as the Trans Java traffic, has an impact on increasing the travel time especially in the use of rail transport, so that a certain pathway requires capacity building and the development of new lines gradually. The purpose of this research was to determine the capacity of rail transport infrastructure that is optimal for the distribution of goods, especially as the company managed by PT. Railway Logistics or KALOG. Another problem is how the government's role and the flow of freight transport demand. In the discussion, through a variety of existing data, the authors use research with phenomenological approach on the basis of qualitative analysis methods interpretative paradigm. Results are expected to be useful for improving knowledge about the needs of rail freight transport on goods distribution on the Java Island. The results of this research will be published in scientific journals. The purpose of this research are two folds. This research combination between qualitative data and quantitative data . The first is to calculate the technology contribution coefficient (TCC) and the second is to determine the priority of technology component development. This research has been done in PT. KALOG, a rail freight transportation company. To calculate the TCC, the author has used the technometric model and the analytical bierarchy process method. By improving these two components, operational problems will be minimized so that operating performance and sales volume will increase. It can then be expected that PT. KALOG will improve its rule in business competition.
