Abstract

Character education is an effort that should involve all parties, both the household and the family, the school and the school environment, and the wider community. A child will grow and develop optimally when the basic needs of the children's rights are met. But in reality often violent behavior and discrimination that actually carried out by her own parents. Violent behavior and racial discrimination by parents of children often occurs due to the psychological impact of the workload and the demands of a career outside the home or it could be due to a lack of knowledge about how to educate and assist children in the home. Hence, early childhood institutions "KB Ceria" is located in a residential Pendowo Asri, Village Pendowoharjo, Sewon, Bantul has the attention and concern for the development of character-based early childhood family. This is evidenced by the role that institutions not only provide education for young protege, but also provide education and insight about assistance to parents (parenting education) and then this organization called the Group Meeting with Parents (KPO).

Abstract

One of the educational problems in Indonesia is the curriculum. Along with the development and challenges of the times, the curriculum is always run into changing, as well the systemic and purposefull development. the curriculum implementation should be able to realize the vision, mission, and goals of national education gradually. the most basic of change and development of curriculum  is changing and developing early childhood curriculum. because the quality of Early Childhood Education determines the quality of Indonesian human resources (HR) in the future, one of which is the 2013 early childhood curriculum. currently early childhood education has had its own curriculum, because during this time early childhood education doesn't have an curriculum. the 2013 Early Childhood curriculum  is expected to encourage the development of learners optimally.

Abstract

The aim of this article is describing the Integration-interconnection Paradigm and its implementation in early childhood education, as we know early childhood education is very important in laying the foundation of science, morality and spirituality of children. This integration-interconnection paradigm offers an idea to reduce the tension between the religious sciences and other social sciences. This paradigm affirms that any scientific buildings, both religious science, science can’t stand alone, but require cooperation, mutual correction and interconnectivity, this paradigm also helps people in the face of the complexity of human life.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to uncover how teachers at institutions of  education (PAUD/TK/RA) make the assessments and planning of the childhood development  and to know the assessments process difficulties. Methods used is survey, namely by seeking information on the implementation of planning and the assessments process of the childhood development from 55 educator at  educational institutions in special region of Yogyakarta. The conclusions from this study were that in make the planning evaluation all teachers have appropriate to childhood developmental tasks (STPPA). As for technique of assessments most commonly used the observation and portfolio methods,  because it’s more simple and easily.

Abstract

This article aims to describe Munif Chatib thinking about materials in parenting education. This type of research is literature that emphasizes the significance of processed philosophically and theoretically used to examine the primary and secondary data sources. The process of data collection is done by reading the symbolic and semantic level, recording the data card, and coding. The data were analyzed descriptively through data reduction, data classification, data display. The analytical method used is Verstehen (understanding). The results showed that: (1) Chatib thoughts about parenting education materials based on the perspective of children and parents. He saw that the child is born it brings nature of goodness, and the development is influenced by genes and environment. Being a parent it is a precious grace of God and a golden opportunity for a good charity. Therefore, do not be afraid to get married and have children. Such views inspired and by integrating various fields of science, namely religion (al-Qur'an-Hadith and sirrah), developmental psychology, child psychology, and recent findings about the brain, nerves, and intelligence. (2) parenting education materials include: changing the paradigm of a child, the child's ability to explore, discover the talent of children, choosing the right school, and became a teacher for children.

Abstract

Education is a social process that can't happen without interaction between individuals Learning is a personal and social proccess when the child is in touch with other children in building understanding and knowledge together. Generally, Early Childhood have a low social interactions skill. This is evidenced by the frequent fights with his friend and selfish. Similarly in general, children who have mental disorders such as children with autism, Down syndrome, the hearing impaired etc, has the low skill ability in social interaction and communication. children who have maximum social interaction skills will be easier to be accepted in the school environment, especially in a classroom environment. Therefore it the children of inclusion is still an early age need to be assisted in improving the ability of social interactions at school, because the period of early childhood is a period of development the right to develop, improve and optimize all the capabilities of a child, even this period is an effective time to train and familiarize children to develop social interaction skills of children.
