Abstract

This study aims to obtain the real facts about the use of image media to improve learning outcomes of learners, knowing whether or not differences in learning outcomes of learners between the use of media images and the absence of the use of media images on a learning, which is a big influence on the results of participant learning students of class IV. In addition to these objectives, the purpose of the application of picture and picture method is to improve the spirit of learning of learners to follow the learning. The method used in this research is descriptive with short-acting Classroom Action Research (CAR). While the techniques and data collection tools used are observation techniques with data collection tools in the form of an association sheet distributed to teachers and learners as well as the final test as an evaluation for learners. From the results of published article search, it can be concluded the application of picture and picture method successfully applied and can improve student learning outcomes class IV. The purpose of every use of media in learning is very influential in every learning process because it will determine in which direction the learning will be successful or not in accordance with the objectives of learning to be achieved. In addition, the use of image media can not only be used for a single course but the use of these media can also be used for some other subjects, so the use of media images is very influential in the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

School Action Research is intended to improve the ability of teachers to use Information Technology-Based Learning Media. The study was conducted at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 05 Gunuang Malintang with 12 subjects. The data collected through observation, interviews, and tests indicated that the ability to utilize IT-based learning media can be improved through In House Training (IHT). The steps of IHT activities are as follows: (1) Share the initial test with the teacher, (2) The teacher works on the initial test to determine the ability to use and utilize IT as a learning medium. (5) Provide material perceptions about the use of IT-based learning media. (6. Provide services and guidance to teachers about the use of IT. (7) Providing opportunities for teachers to create and innovate in utilizing IT as a learning media. (8) Provide services and guidance to teachers during IHT. (9) Give the final test.

Abstract

Early childhood education is a coaching effort aimed at children from birth to the age of six years, carried out through the provision of stimuli to help growth and physical and spiritual development, so that children have readiness in entering further education. In providing growth stimulus and developing early childhood in the era of advanced technology, technology is a powerful tool to support all learning in early childhood classes. This effort must be integrated into an integrated curriculum. In the use of learning technology tools, teachers need to be trained to operate, so that teachers can be proficient in the learning process. Besides that, what also needs to be considered by each technological device is the advantages and disadvantages or the impact of using these technological tools.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes by using a problem-based learning model (PBL), to increase the learning activity of science through the application of learning problem based learning (PBL) model. This research focuses on the problem of how students' science learning outcomes can be improved. The method used by the study document is research by collecting and analyzing data from pre-existing researches. This study uses document studies of previous research results or better known as meta-analysts. Meta-analysis is a review of some research results in similar problems in which the summary of the results of the study was made quantitatively. Data collection in this research is done by browsing the journal in some electronic media such as a digital library, internet, and library journal collection. A journal search is done through Google Scholar. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of the learning-based learning problem model in science subjects in elementary school. Results of data obtained from several research sources published in several journals then analyzed and concluded. The results of this study indicate that the approach of learning the problem-based learning model can improve the learning outcomes of science. The results of this study indicate if there are differences in the results of science learning between students who use a problem-based learning model with students who use the conventional learning model.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low learning outcomes of sixth-grade students in Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Sariak Laweh on Math in particular for simple geometry materials. On the basic competency 8.2 about determining the nets of cube and box, the students at the first condition had the lowest score around 50 and the highest was 70 with the average score was 61, 25. In general, the percentage level of mastery learning was just about 18,75%. Therefore, there were many students who have not reached the minimum completeness standard (65 points). The research primary goal is to concretize the learning and involve students in the process of math learning to improve the students’ learning outcomes. The research subject is sixth-grade students in SDN 04 Sariak Laweh. This study conducted in two cycles, from September to October 2017. From the data analysis in the first cycle, it can be reported that the percentage of students’ learning outcomes increased from 18.75% to 81.25%. Based on the data analysis it is generally can be concluded that the learning outcomes experienced an increase significantly in the context of cognitive, psychomotor, and effective. In addition, the teachers are confident to deliver the materials with little weakness, such as time control. In addition, the students also have learning outcome improvement and the students’ are no longer fear and ashamed to answer the questions for the teachers.

Abstract

This research combines qualitative methods and qualitative methods to the data collected by observation, interview, and literature research. The thing studied is the empowerment of high school students of SMAN 2 Batang Anai in implementing the School-Based Management Improvement Model, through the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of empowerment activities. Empowerment is done is participative. The empowered are the teachers. The results showed that there is improvement of school quality in the field of Academic and Non-Academic field. The average school participant is 48% inactive category, 40%, and 11% inactive category. These results indicate an increase in the participation rate of school residents in the empowerment of human resources to improve the quality of schools. The result of task assessment from personnel of educational staff has increased in the last three years (2015, 2016, and 2017) with a good category, while for teacher's duty assessment in teaching has an average of 68.6% with the medium category.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the teacher has not seen: involving students express opinions, discussing (oral activities), making activities writing, analyzing material, and remembering material (mental activity), and giving motivation (emotional activity), so student learning activities look low. The purpose of the study describes the increase in student learning activities on learning IPS using cooperative model type Make A Match on VB SDN 46 Kuranji Padang. This research is a classroom action research with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Consisting of two cycles, each cycle consists of planning, execution, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were teachers and students of VB SDN 46 Kuranji Padang. Data collection techniques are observation, test, and documentation. While the research instrument is an observation sheet, test sheet, and photos and video. The results showed that the activity of the students on the Cycle of Oral Activity I 81.03% with very good category (SB), cycle II 90,62% (SB). Activity Writing cycle I 71.96% with good category (B), cycle II 90,62% (SB). Cycle of Mental Activities I 66.77% with enough category (C), cycle II 88,27% (SB). Emotion activity of cycle I 76.18% (B), cycle II 91,4% (SB). Thus it can be concluded that the learning activities of students on IPS learning by using model Cooperative type Make A Match in the VB SDN 46 Kuranji Padang increased in very good category (SB).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what are the reasons for working abroad, who cares for their children and how their parenting style is. The method used in the study was qualitative with a case study in Panyingkiran village, Karawang. Enculturation has taken place Women working abroad are desperate. The money from working abroad is used to improve the welfare of his extended family so that a surrogate role is needed for the mother in raising children. Parenting is handed over to large families, especially grandmothers. Mothers use the device of communication to keep participating in care even though the mother and child live far apart. Almost every night the mother communicates with the child, so that the child's behavior becomes independent, and is responsible.

Abstract

There are many teachers in school who have a good personality, mastering pedagogic, social mentally, and professional and dedicated. They become the requirement as a school leader, unfortunately, they are a lack of school managerial. So that incompetence to manage school management. The potential teachers should be trained and developed his carrier as the candidate of principal. The carrier training should be directly guided by principal and carrier development through education and training of leadership. These times the training and development teacher carrier for getting the job position certainty in school still un-optimal. The implication of teacher functional position becomes stagnant. It’s not enough they are appreciated by the phrase “teacher, the hero without commendable sign”. It’s a teacher carrier problem that should be found the solution.

Abstract

The research is inspired by the lack of activity of learners in the learning and low mathematics learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 13 Sungai Pinang. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in activity and learning outcomes of students in class V SDN 13 Sungai Pinang on mathematic after using the game of dominoes. The hypothesis of action research is a game of dominoes can increase the activity and results of learning mathematics in Class V students of SDN 13 Sungai Pinang. This type of research, classroom action research. The subjects were fifth grade students of SDN 13 Sungai Pinang. The instrument used is the observation sheet activities of the learner, teacher activity observation sheet and test end of the cycle. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be seen that the average value of the final exam cycle I was 70 with learning completeness percentage of 54.05%. From the analysis of activity observation sheet of students obtained an average percentage of observer II in the first cycle of 47.61%. After learning executed in the second cycle, the average obtained final replay value is 89.46 students with learning completeness percentage of 89.19%, while the average percentage of the activity of learners who obtained observer II is 84.80%. From the results obtained from the second cycle can be concluded that the learning of mathematics through a domino game method can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in class V SD Negeri 13 Sungai Pinang.
