Abstract

The development of modern printed traditional arts is highly influcing the development of Indonesia literatures. The production phase from a traditional to amechanical  industry affects to both the number of the literature productions and its supporting community. Tthe development of moderent printed media is also considered  to signal  the  and of the classic literature tradition as well as the birth of a modern literature tradition. Moreover ,the invention of the printed machine production technique is also considered to end the oral tradition in Indonesia community as well as to start a new tradition,the script tradition.The easily accusable literature trigger literature trigger literature activities to leave spirit as in the oral tradition, in cartain condition ,it could be tolerated ,however Indonesian community is not totally leave out the oral tradition in their literature activity .this paper describes the path of folklore existing in literarature traditions in Indonesia community .by analyzing the lyrical prose of pengakuan perayem by linus suryadi Ag.,it is found out that the exiting of verbal aspects shows that Indonesia people have not totally moved to script literature .this research applies two theories ,namely are folklore theory by walter j.ong and hegemony theory by Gramsci, folklore the oral aspect in a text, while hegemony theory is used to expectcts in a text while hegemony theory is used to explain the oral aspects in a text, while  hegemony theory is used  to explain the oral aspects a Javanese perspective.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: (1) the mistakes of standard expressions such as the use of capitalization, spelling and punctuation used in the scientific writing works of teachers with IV/a rank category, especially those found in the repository of research reports in West Nusa Tenggara Province during the evaluation period of August 2012 based on the General Guidelines of the Revised Indonesia Spelling and the Regulation of Ministry of National Education No. 46 of 2009 as of July 31, 2009, (2) the use of Indonesia language contained in the research reports as a source of learning materials, including its teaching methods, for high schools. This is qualitative-descriptive research. The data were collected using a document analysis with a note-taking technique. The analysis of data used a distributional method. Result of the analysis show that all the research reports were found to contain mistakes. Out of six samples of the research reports examined, a great number of mistakes were found, i.e. 67 standard word usage, 77spellings, 320 capitalization and 918 punctuations. The use of Indonesia language contained in the research reports may be useful as source of learning materials for Indonesia language subject in high schools, especially those related to the report writing skills. To apply this, teachers can employ both lecturing and giving assignments.

Abstract

Gender violence is a contemporary issue often discussed by the community in social interactions. In this case, the form of gender violence more easily found in the news media text with a variety of cases, such as: marriage, divorce, rape, molestation or sexual abuse, assault, robbery, sexual gratification or prostitution, and even murder motivated revenge romance. Therefore, the purpose of  this study is to describe the representation of gender violence through transitivity system, modalities, and its relevance to discourse study in the  university as well. The theory which is used in this study is the theory  LFS presented by  Halliday in which it  focuses on the text , in this case the text of gender violence in the media. Data collection are performed by the method of literature analysis and note-taking. Sources of data obtained only on the text of gender violence in the media Lombok Post news. The collected data were analyzed by using both qualitative and quantitative method. The intended of those methods are to describe the research systematically, well organized, and patterned. The results of data analysis showed are domination of male’s action toward women in cases of domestic violence and non-domestic violence in the NTB area which had previously been analyzed through the system of transitivity and modality system. Women are more often represented as victims, whereas men often positioned as the doer in the act of gender violence, therefore the women are the aggrieved object in the cases of domestic violence and non-domestic violence.

Abstract

The problem in this study was a struggle of the main character in Novel Guru Dane (NGD) by Salman Faris. The objectives of this study are to describe: (1) the structure of the NGD by Salman  Faris, (2) the educational values, (3) and the relevance of the educational values with the teaching material of literature subject at Senior  High School. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. The data collected through documentation and interview. The data analysis applied the theory of structural, theory of semiothics, and theory of learning with the steps of identification, classification, description, interpretation, and explanation. The conclusions of this research are  (1) NGD consist of some mutual completing elements, namely theme, characterizations, setting, message, and plot. (2) the effort of the main character to arouse the degnity of the people of Sasak by supporting plurality, humanity, and identity was divided into (a) building cognitive awareness about humanity, (b) building social awareness, (c) breaking down arrogance and the greatness of mistycal things, (d) implanting class awareness, and (e) implanting knighthood/noble actions to the people of sasak; (3) The educational values in the NGD are (a) willingness to sacrifice and to be responsible, (b) respect to the rights and obligations of each other, (c) stickiness to principles and defensiveness to trial, (d) religiousness, (e) patience and lovingness, (f) honesty, (g) hardwork, (h) cooperation, (i) didiscipline; (4) The values in the NGD are in line with those in the standard of content, the standard of competence, and the basic competence of literature  teaching. It also give understanding on the values applications as guidences of behaving, and fit the reality in society which make it relevant to be an object of literature teaching and learning.

Abstract

A language is medium for a community to communicate with their own community or others as their neighbors. Three (3) subvillages called Matemega which are located on the high area of Alas district, Sumbawa Besar are included into remote areas. The speakers use Samawa. Linguistically, they have little contact with other communities who use Samawa. Method used is descriptive. Date collected through interview helped by note-taken and recording. Instrument used covered simple and compound sentences containing morphological aspect. Data analyzed using padan method. It is concluded that morphological variants of Samawa-Matemega are not as complex as morphology of Samawa used at Sumbawa Besar or Jereweh dialect.
