Abstract

Education as a conscious and planned effort as stated in the National Education System Act no. 20, 2003 relates to three developmental targets, namely: the development of spiritual power, intelligence and morality. However, the existence of dichotomy in science and education makes the direction of education lose its essential weight.  For this reason, such a dichotomy must be deconstructed to produce synergy and integration between intellectual and spiritual entity. Education in general and Islamic education in particular must not be conceived partially, so the core value of education can be realized. The idea of human as a living spiritual entity in Islamic education can be realized by revitalizing and conceptualizing the role and meaning of Islamic education by developing and changing curriculum in both content and purpose, as an effort to entrench spirituality as the basis of orienting Islamic education.

Abstract

The pesantren (Islamic boarding school) links yellow treatises to necessities of life, including enriching insights and broadening students' understanding of authoritative sources of Islamic teachings (al-qur'an and al-hadith) grounded in the thought of Muslim scholars; madzhab founders whose intellectual and personal values are widely recognized. This research aims to examine "how can curriculum in pesantren nourish the sense of nationalism among santri (students in Islamic boarding school)?? through employing a qualitative approach involving observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman models. It shows that yellow treatises are regarded as primary resources that give rise to intellectual reflections and scientific traditions as part of Indonesian Muslim identity. Typical knowledge leads to sensitivity of local culture: as a basis for the advancement of Indonesian Muslims prepared to adapt the advancement of science and technology in the future. Islamic boarding schools can nourish students' character, establish the sense of nationalism and promote of specific skills.

Abstract

Apperception constitutes the initial stage of learning process, but is often missed in the implementation of learning activities. Apperception can help students understand instructional materials. The relation of the learning process to fiqh material is often seen as monotonous and rigid. When fiqh is taught as something doctrinaire, the output will also be droctilary. By contrast, when fiqh is delivered through something that highlights the potential and characteristics of students, these students will be able to relate what they have learned to their real-life activities, leading to humanist and religious classes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between apperception on fiqh instructional materials and the development of humanist classes. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population was 40 students. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a random sampling method, and analysed through the product moment correlation. The results showed that apperception in fiqh subjects had an average (19,275) which means it was included in the medium category, building a religious humanist class had an average (18,075) which meant it was included in the medium category. Then the conclusion apperception in fiqh lessons have an influence in building students' religious humanist classes at MTs Miftahul Ulum Kudus.

Abstract

Leadership can be interpreted as a process of influencing and directing citizens or workers to do work according to their duties. The fact is that in Indonesia many leaders who are wrongfully caught buying and selling positions, corruption and so on. A leader must have a noble mind, because he will be a role model, he who will create opportunities and provide encouragement as well as input to its members. Like the Javanese language slogan from the father of education which is often promoted in the world of education Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso and Tut Wuri Handayani. In Islam, Allah has given examples of exemplary living examples namely the Prophet Muhammad who has the nature of siddiq, tabligh, trust and fathanah. The main types of Islamic education leadership include authoritarian leadership, free leadership and democratic leadership. While complementary Islamic education leadership types include charismatic leadership types, guardian leadership types, expert leader types, organizational and administrator leadership types, agitator leadership types.

Abstract

Learning media constitute an integral part of the learning process in the classroom. To achieve maximum learning outcomes, educators must have knowledge of the management of learning media both as teaching aids and as supporters so that the material/content of the lesson is clearer and can easily be mastered by students. The purpose of this study was to find out how the use of learning media can influence students' learning motivation in Fiqh subjects in MTs. Nahdlatul Ummah Sidoarjo. This paper uses a survey method with a qualitative approach and data collection techniques are observations, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study concluded that the use of instructional media on the subjects of jurisprudence in MTs. Nahdlatul Sidoarjo Ummah can be said to be quite good, From the results of data analysis shows that the product moment that produces r = 0.758 means that it can be consulted on the product moment interpretation table which is in the interval 0,700-0,900 with an interpretation that between X and Y variables there is a strong correlation

Abstract

The identity of Muhammadiyah as a modern movement cannot be separated from the conceptualization produced in the field of education. The colonial era which is identical with the dichotomy of education and science, began to be reduced by the Muhammadiyah movement that carries scientific integration, a balance between science and religion and also as the concern expression of KH. Ahmad Dahlan towards education. The historicity of Muhammadiyah as an educational movement can be referred to the formulations of the purpose of the Muhammadiyah's presence started from 1921 until 1971 which describe education as the basis for its movements and actions. Muhammadiyah wants to provide a new perspective namely education is holistic integrative, not in a partial dichotomous area, which can contribute to the development and progress of the nation.

Abstract

Nowadays, character education is a necessity for the people of Indonesia, but moral degradation which infects the public even among students. The campus mosque is a strategic quality building forum for the formation of student character. The purpose of this study was to study the management and role of campus mosques in shaping the character of students at the University of PGRI Madiun. This study uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show the role of the mosque campus in shaping the character of students; the first character is based on character education based on student activities; second is community-based character education; fourth as a means of learning intolerance between fellow mosque users; and strengthening character through campus culture. This research is expected to increase knowledge for educational institutions that support the role of mosques as centers of Islamic education.
