Abstract

The main goal to be achieved is to be able to make an onion slicing machine so that it can answer the problem if the onion slicing is carried out in a larger capacity. The onion slicing machine is made to support the increase in the production of shallot slices, which are ready to be fried for the production of scallion onions in household industries. In a small scale, the work can be done manually with a knife or other simple cutting tool. Problems will arise if large quantities of sliced or cut production are available. In order to facilitate the community in processing shallots and learn about the problems, namely how to produce a shallot slicing machine with uniform slices results using different slope angles on the knife. the working principle of this machine is the Onion which has been peeled dry skin inserted into the funnel then the plate on the back of which has a knife, will rotate because it is driven by an electric motor. As a result of the rotation the onion will be sliced and the slice will fall down, and below it a container will be used as a cross section of the onion which has been finished sliced as a result

Abstract

Starting from the events on the island of Sumatra that often experience forest fires and result in the emergence of smog that can disrupt the respiratory tract in living things, especially in humans. Thus resulting in the emergence of diseases such as ispa, shortness of breath, and other diseases. This is caused by polluted air because the concentration of oxygen (O2) is only a few percent compared to air containing carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), sulfide (S2) and other combustion substances. The smoke sensor is useful for activating the fan on the smoke filter tool automatically, the Fan functions as a smoke suction to be forwarded to the room where the smoke is filtered. The workings of this tool are, when the sensor reads the smoke content on the tool more than 140 ppm, then the relay connected to the fan will activate and make the fan spin. After the fan or fan lives, then the smoke will be sucked into a tube, where the tube has a small hose at the end, then the smoke is released at the end of the hose, where the end of the hose is soaked in a container containing water, where the air will be filtered. The results of the filter are sucked back by the fan or fan in another room. If the smoke level has fallen below the threshold of 140 ppm, the fan will automatically die.

Abstract

The power produced by a hydrokinetic turbine depends on the interaction between the rotor and water. Therefore, the optimal rotor geometry must be designed and built to capture maximum water energy and convert it into usable energy. Hydropower is one of the potential renewable energy that can contribute to the need for electricity. Hydropower generator is pollution free so this generator can answer environmental problems and the availability of renewable energy sources. The aim to be achieved in this study is to produce a turbine hydropower with good performance if it operates on an irrigation channel and is applied as a power plant. This research was developed to get the right specifications for the use of hydrokinetic turbines in the irrigation canal area. There are several methods carried out in the design of hydrokenetic turbines, namely by designing blades based on the shape of water flow, repairing the transmission system, and selecting the right generator. In this study, we tested the sweet lemon irrigate applied and tested in the area of ​​Padang Sumbar Sweet Limes Pauh, the results obtained were that the turbine can produce power of about 12.6 watts.

Abstract

In this Final Project report, a little is explained about the parts of power steering and how to make the vehicle comfortable, especially when the vehicle turns. Stability and comfort in driving a vehicle is very important and desirable for all motorists, how it can be obtained. Power steering makes the driver feel light in controlling his vehicle especially when turning. So power steering is one of the things that is very important to get driving comfort. Therefore maintenance of the power steering is also important to be able to help realize stability and comfort in driving. Abstract

The design of the cassava slicer machine has a capacity of 38 kg / hour, this machine is designed to design a cassava slicing machine that has high usability, achieving the required motor power so that the desired engine capacity can be achieved, able to determine the exact method of slicing cassava . The working principle of Cassava Slicing Machine is to work when the electric motor is turned on, then the motor will rotate then the motor rotation is transmitted to the pulley, moving the slicing knife by 0.03653 N / mm2. After the shaft rotates, the disc where the blade will rotate and the cassava is ready for slices and the results of the cassava slices will come out through the output funnel. Abstract

Raffia rope is very popular because of its many uses, in other words it is a versatile tool. In general, raffia ropes are widely used for various matters such as business in agriculture, as a binder, as a decoration for crafts, as hangers for clothes, sewing sacks, as reinforcement materials, and many others. Raffia straps are available in the form of rolls. At this time, there are still many processes of rolling raffia still using manual methods such as direct hand rolling or using traditional methods that still use a lot of human power so that it is considered ineffective and inefficient. Because there is still a lot of traditional process of rolling the rope or using hands, the idea arises to make a raffia rope rolling machine using a motorbike and transmission. Technically appropriate technology is a bridge between traditional technology and advanced technology, therefore socio-cultural and economic aspects are also dimensions that must be taken into account in managing appropriate technology. From the desired goals, appropriate technology must apply methods that are resource-efficient, easy to maintain, and have minimal minimalistic impact. The aim of this research is to design, make and test rapia rope rollers so that they are suitable to be used to help facilitate the work of the community in the process of rolling rapia.
