Abstract

The ideal soil temperature and humidity in red chilli pepper seedling is very important in the growth of the plant. The cultivation of red chili plants in greenhouses is very good, because the environment in greenhouses can be manipulated according to the needs of the plants. The ideal temperature for red chili breeding is 25oC to 27oC, for soil moisture drainage and aeration must be maintained during growth. Red pepper plants can grow well in moisture 50% to 70%, irregular soil moisture can cause rooting disease and root decay in plants. Cultivation of plants in greenhouses can maintain the nursery process, because the plants can be cultivated in accordance with the Operational Procedure Standards (SOP). Generally the farmers in breeding of red pepper is done in a trational way. In the process of temperature control and soil moisture using fuzzy method where the system can work automatically, which can facilitate the work of farmers in seeding plants from uncertain environmental conditions outside. In the measurements that have been done can be taken conclusion percentage error mean temperature from setpoint which have been set at the time in the morning equal to 2,48%, at noon equal to 9,79% and at night equal to 1,93%. Then each addition of 1 second watering, soil humidity rise up to 0.067%.

Abstract

Raffia rope is very popular because of its many uses, in other words it is a versatile tool. In general, raffia ropes are widely used for various matters such as business in agriculture, as a binder, as a decoration for crafts, as hangers for clothes, sewing sacks, as reinforcement materials, and many others. Raffia straps are available in the form of rolls. At this time, there are still many processes of rolling raffia still using manual methods such as direct hand rolling or using traditional methods that still use a lot of human power so that it is considered ineffective and inefficient. Because there is still a lot of traditional process of rolling the rope or using hands, the idea arises to make a raffia rope rolling machine using a motorbike and transmission. Technically appropriate technology is a bridge between traditional technology and advanced technology, therefore socio-cultural and economic aspects are also dimensions that must be taken into account in managing appropriate technology. From the desired goals, appropriate technology must apply methods that are resource-efficient, easy to maintain, and have minimal minimalistic impact. The aim of this research is to design, make and test rapia rope rollers so that they are suitable to be used to help facilitate the work of the community in the process of rolling rapia. Abstract

The development of the use of air conditioning machines (AC machines) is very high , due to the increased consumption of electricity for household needs are also increasing . Based on field observations of R22 refrigerant is still widely used in commercial air conditioning machines , where the refrigerant has properties that are not friendly to the environment . R410A refrigerant has been recommended to replace worn R22 . It became one of the rationale for conducting the assessment directly to efforts to reduce electricity consumption due to the use of air conditioning machines in the household and the efforts to preserve the environment . The research was conducted on a commercial air conditioning machines by testing the engine for both types of refrigerant ( R22 and R410A ) . Testing the engine characteristics , tested by varying the refrigerant mass flow rate for both refrigerants . The test results showed , electricity consumption ( compressor power ) for the use of both types of refrigerants is similar but uses R410A refrigerant produces a greater cooling effect than by using refrigerant R22 . In Overall effect of the variation of mass flow rate for both refrigerants clearly evident , the increase in mass flow rate causes enhancement of several variables such as the increase in compressor power , cooling effect , the effect of heat release , but for the coeficient of perfomance ( COP ) , the addition of the mass flow rate after COP The optimum value of the COP does not increase anymore . In this study, the highest COP values obtained in the refrigerant mass flow rate 3.4 g / s for R410A and R22 for 1.9 has the highest COP of 1.7 at a flow rate of refrigerant mass 3 g / s . For maximum cooling impact , generated by 0.502 kW to 0.572 kW usage for R22 and R410A.

Abstract

In designing this device, the rice thresher will be lighter, so it will be easier in lifting, simpler in using so farmers as main users will easier in operating this instrument with featuring speed controllable by applying fuzzy method, and also no fossil fuels used because it utilize sunshine as green energy to drive DC motor. Solar cells are used to absorb sunshine in rice thresher machine because it easier in maintenance. The test results of the rice thresher machine is the reduction of the avarage motor speed by 195 rpm every each five rice straws, in the other hand the maximum electric current is needed to spin the rice threser  is 6 ampere and minimum electric current is 2.2 ampere. Furthermore, to stabilize motor speed at 2000 rpm, the avarage time required is 6 seconds when this machine loaded with rice straws. The eficiency of the rice thresher machine is 96%, it mean the avarage time to thresh the rice is 9 rice straws every each seconds.

Abstract

PWM is widely used in the fields of automatic control, power electronics and cellular communications. Previous research designed a PWM generator using the OMAP-L138 chip to produce a simple, high-precision, flexible and portable circuit. Another generator uses a single board computer FEZ Panda III and an Arduino board for power inverters. While the FPGA Spartan 3 is also used to generate PWM signals that can vary the duty cycle. In this paper, the PWM signal generator is made using the AVR ATmega8535 microcontroller where the frequency parameters and the output signal duty cycle can be adjusted via the keypad. The signal is tested using a measuring instrument for its accuracy. The ATmega AVR microcontroller family has a timer / counter with one of its operating modes, namely fast PWM. In order to change the frequency and duty cycle as desired, the ICR register is used to store the TOP value and the OCR register for the MAX value. The OCR value determine the duty cycle and the ICR value specify the frequency. The results are the higher the PWM frequency, the greater the value of the measured and desired frequency difference, this is because the large frequency makes ICR register value becomes small even though the frequency divider at minimum value. The difference between measurements and calculations on the Duty Cycle gives the result under 1%. This difference also occurs due to the rounding of the ICR and OCR values, but at a frequency of 20 kHz and a 25% Duty Cycle where the ICR value is 599 and OCR is 116 resulting in the minimum difference in frequency and Duty Cycle. From the experiments that have been carried out, the design of the PWM generator based on the AVR ATmega microcontroller has been successfully realized

Abstract

Starting from Wuhan in China, the new type of corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) has spread to various countries in the world, including Indonesia, which is known as the COVID-19 disease. On March 11, 2020, WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic, which is an epidemic that has spread to several countries or continents, and generally affects many people. The President of the Republic of Indonesia has issued Presidential Decree No. 12/2020 concerning the determination of COVID 19 as a non-natural national disaster. This indicates that the Covid 19 Pandemic is increasingly widespread in Indonesia, including the city of Padang and that strategic steps are needed to fight its spread, one of which is in providing information that is easy to read and understand by the public. For this reason, in this study we utilize geospatial web technology to disseminate Covid 19 information to urban villages in Padang City. Geospatial Web is part of WebGis which is able to provide location-based information in more detail and in map form and is presented using web technology so that it can be accessed by the wider community easily. There are five types of geospatial web services used, namely Web Map Service, Web Feature Service, Web Coverage Service, Web Map Tile Service, and Web Processing Service. It is hoped that the results of this study can contribute to the Padang city government and its community regarding the information on the spread of Covid-19 in more detail and location-based.
