<![CDATA[Tulisan ini mendalami persoalan mengenai apakah gangguan roh jahat. Khususnya peristiwa kerasukan merupakan hal yang sama dengan gangguan kejiwaan ataukah sesuatu hal yang berbeda. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan itu maka penulis mencoba menguraikan terlebih dahulu perspektif psikologis dalam memandang kerasukan. Selanjutnya juga penulis mendalami perspektif Alkitab, tradisi gereja dan pengalaman di lapangan terkait dengan peristiwa kerasukan. Unsur-unsur tersebut didialogkan satu dengan yang lain dan menghasilkan sebuah kesimpulan bahwa gangguan roh jahat khususnya kerasukan roh jahat adalah sesuatu yang berbeda dengan ganguan kejiwaan meskipun mempunyai gejala yang mirip dan kadang-kadang keduanya saling berkaitan. Sehingga baik gangguan roh jahat maupun gangguan kejiwaan membutuhkan penanganan yang berbeda pula sesuai dengan kasusnya.]]>

<![CDATA[This article focuses on the good works in receiving the salvation in Pauline Letters. It contains of debating on faith and the good works relationship in The New Perspectives on Paul. By exploring some themes relating to Paul’s concept of salvation in his Letters, namely: parousia, justification, and the resurrection, this article shows that the good works are essensial part in receiving God’s saving work. This conclusion is based on some texts in Pauline Letters that shows Paul’s exhortation that asked and urged Christians to do good works in order to welcome parousia.]]>

<![CDATA[This article focuses on how Gereja Baptis Indonesia (GBI) Ngembak Semarang used Gamelan and a hymn they sang at worship on Sunday, 24th September 2017, namely Ku Suka Mengabarkan. Based on how GBI has been using Gamelan and by analyzing lyrics of Ku Suka Mengabarkan, this article shows that the Church does not only partake in preserving local Javanise traditional music but also nurture her members by singing hymns that their lyrics could affect their spirituality formating.]]>

<![CDATA[The sermon is one of the central activities of the church liturgy. The role of the sermon is very important in the Christian ministry, but now we have found several problems of the sermon at the church pulpit. Nowadays, the preacher can easily get the material resources either from books or electronic journal and so on to prepare the sermon. But unfortunatelly, there are many sermons that cannot be applied in daily life or in the other word, such sermons have the poor application. This article wants to emphazise the role of the Holy Spirit for the preacher in preparing the sermon. Why do we need to depend on the role of the Holy Spirit in preparing the sermon? What do mean that we need to depend on the power of the Holy Spirit? These questions above will be discussed in this paper.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses and compares between the story of the war of Baratayudha and that of the Exodus in the Old Testament. The writer tries to give meaning about the war of Baratayudha from the perspective of the theology of the war from the Exodus. In the Exodus, God have always defended the oppressed people when war happened. God was with the oppressed people and He gave freedom to them. In the war, God did not only have aim to show His power but to destroy the evil.]]>
