Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect and increase of cognitive learning outcomes of students using inquiry learning models with guided experimental learning methods on the subject of Newton's Law class X Santa Maria High School Yogyakarta. The research subjects of this study were class XB students and XE Santa Maria High School Yogyakarta. The total number of research subjects was 48 students. Class XB as the control class while the XE class as the experimental class. This research is an experimental research. The data used were the pretest scores of the experimental class students and the pretest scores of the control class students. This test was conducted using SSPS with a significant level of 0.05. The results of this study showed that there was no significant influence and improvement in cognitive learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. This is because students are not used to using inquiry learning models with guided experimental methods, so students are still hesitant to draw conclusions from the search

Abstract

This study aims to determine the social conditions and habits of rice farmers in the use of input production of lowland rice farming in Indramayu Regency. The research location is in 3 Districts of Indramayu Regency, namely Sliyeg, Lelea, and Gabuswetan Districts. This research was conducted with a survey approach, descriptive quantitative and qualitative. Sampling of rice farmers was carried out by multistage purposive sampling totaling 120 people. The results of this study are the social conditions of the farmers, 70% of the productive age, 60% are uneducated, 65% are very experienced, and 60% of the land area is under 1 hectare. The habit of using production inputs, 85% already use certified and superior varieties of rice seeds, 71% use inorganic fertilizers, and 93% use inorganic pesticides.

Abstract

The amount of food or snacks that contain preservatives or chemicals consumed by the community, therefore, requires innovation and creation in food or herbal snacks made from local raw materials as consumption of the local community. This study aims to determine the acceptability of processed leaves of kersen leaves as a herbal snack for the local community. The method used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three samples A (young cherry leaf chips), B (medium cherry leaf chpis), and C (old cherry leaf chips) repeated 3 times. The instruments used were organoleptic test or sensory evaluation, by means of a value-differentiation test and hedonic scale test, with parameters of the quality of crispness, taste, color, and preference. The panel used by 35 untrained panelists namely the public and students as invited guests at the exhibition of products field lecture in Cikedung Indramayu West Java District. From the results of the power test, the kersen leaf chips  which has the best percentage is medium-sized kersen leaf processed products with a crisp quality level of 51.42%, flavor (not bitter) 37, 14%, color (slightly brownish) 37.14%, and preference (somewhat like) 45.71%. Therefore, it is necessary to diversify food or snacks especially those that have nutritional value, are easy, economical, made from local resources, and can be used as entrepreneurial opportunities for the community.

Abstract

A good assessment instrument is an instrument that can reveal data in accordance with the actual reality, is fixed, steady or reliable, and has varying degrees of difficulty and has a good index of discrimination. Therefore this study was conducted to analyze reliability, validity, level of difficulty, and differentiation of items that can be used to reveal students' mathematics problem solving abilities. The test questions tested are questions in the form of 4 numbers. The calculation results show that the 4 test questions for problem solving ability are reliability in the medium category, and valid with each category is high. The index has difficulty number 1 in the easy category, number 2 and 3 in the medium category, and number 4 in the difficult category, and the discrimination index is quite good

Abstract

The research aims (1) to know the improvement of Biology learning outcomes, material learning activities of living creatures organizational systems with cooperative learning model Index Card Match (ICM) type, (2) to find out student responses to the cooperative learning model Index Card Match (ICM) in learning material life organism system organization. The study was conducted at Polen SMPS, Puna Village, Polen Subdistrict, TTS Regency in June to August 2018, with 21 students as the subject. The results showed that the pre-research test results with a percentage of 61.90% classical completeness, while 100% continued research. The average score of pre-research student activity is 2, 99 with a fairly good category, while the average score of student activity in the 3.50 study is in the good category. Respondents gave a positive response by choosing a score of 3 in my aspect I like to study the material of living creature organization system material and I understand the material of living creature organization system using concept map media and look for pairs of cards with a percentage of 76% in pre-research, while in the research respondents gave a positive response by choosing a score of 4 in the aspect of the sentence in the media concept map can I easily understand and the sentence on the question card can easily be understood by a percentage of 100%.            Keywords: Mind Mapping, Index Card Match   (ICM), Learning Achievement, Learning Activity, Student Response.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of Principal Leadership (KS), namely leadership as educator, leadership as manager, leadership as administrator, leadership as supervisor, leadership as leader, leadership as innovator, leadership as motivator (EMASLIM) on the teaching climate. The methodology used in this research is descriptive method, documentation study method, and path analysis technique. The results of the study concluded that 1) The leadership of the principal at the Cirebon Plot 2 Middle School was considered very good; This shows that principals are able to carry out their duties as Educators, Managers, Administrators, Supervisors, Leaders, Innovators, Motivators; (2) the teaching climate at the Cirebon Plot 2 Junior High School is considered very good. This shows that the principal is able to create an effective, efficient and conducive teaching climate.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to know the management of students’ discipline development trough fingerprint attendance system based on SMS gateway in SMK NU Kaplongan, and to determine the effectiveness of the students’ discipline development management through fingerprint attendance system based on SMS gateway SMK NU Kaplongan, and to determine the implications of the students’ discipline  development through fingerprint attendance based on SMS gateway about increasing students discipline in SMK NU Kaplongan. The method of research which is used is a qualitative method. The techniques of accumulation data are observation participant, in-depth interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The results of this research are firstly the discipline of student can be materialized trough applying the rules. Applying fingerprint attendance system through some steps, they are fingerprint identification and matched with student ID numbers and also their parent phone numbers. The students do it, and the data will be sent to the school computer, it will be processed and sent to the central server. Finally, the data will be sent to the head master, teachers, and their parents.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Disruption is an innovation. This is an innovation that will replace the entire old system with new ways. Disruption has the potential to replace old players with new ones. Disruption replaces old technology with digital technology that produces something completely new and more efficient and more useful. Whereas in the Industrial 4.0 era, machines and factories will be connected, exchange data, work together, and make independent decisions collectively. The Industrial Age 4.0 offers time and resource efficiency, cost savings, increased income, agility, and innovation for the industry. The old industry or incumbent will be replaced by a more efficient new-style industry. Therefore this disruption must be anticipated so that we can see new opportunities in the future. In the context of education—especially high education— as a printer of skilled human resources—must be prepared with 4 C skills (creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration) must be thoroughly prepared because in this sophisticated era humans will co-exist with smart machines at workplace. Education must change, if not, then in 30 years we will face a big problem. Everything we teach should be different from machines — everything that is taught must make humans different from machines. Humans as products of education, must still have ethics/morals—because religion is truly a source of value/ethics—which must be implemented through education (Islam) in this disruption era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see which is better between students who get project assessment learning and students who get conventional learning and the correlation between mathematical anxiety and representation ability. This research method is the Concurrent Embedded Model type Mix Method research, which is a method that combines the use of quantitative and qualitative research methods simultaneously / together (or vice versa) but the bobods vary. The population in this study is all junior high school students of Nu darul Maarif Indramayu took two Class VII samples were randomly assigned. The instruments used were test and non-test instruments. Test instruments in the form of mathematical identification ability tests, questionnaires to determine student attitudes, observations and interviews to find out errors in student answers. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing, the conclusion is that: 1) there are differences in the increase in the ability of mathematical representation to obtain project assessment learning and students who obtain conventional learning. 2) there is an increase in the ability to get project assessment learning and students who get conventional learning are seen from the initial ability of mathematics (high, medium, low). 3) there is a relationship between the ability of representation with mathematical anxiety, students who use the project assessment learning model experience moderate levels of anxiety, and conventional learning experiences severe levels of anxiety.

Abstract

This study describes the understanding of students in science learning about the form of objects and their properties using teaching aids. Subjects In this study were fourth grade students of SDN 2 Klayan Cirebon Regency which amounted to 47 students with details of the number of male students 27 and female 20. The research method used was classroom action research. The stages of the study consisted of (1) preparing a plan of action (planning), (2) implementing an action (acting), (3) observing (observing), and reflecting (reflecting). The results of the study showed that at the beginning of learning (prasiklus) only 17 students (36%) graduated and increased in the first cycle to 37 students (79%). While students who did not pass or get scores below the KKM in the pre cycle there were 30 (64%) students in the first cycle to 10 students (21%). The acquisition of the average value has increased, namely the average of 81 students in the first cycle and an increase of 23.44 from the initial data of students which is only 67.56. In the second cycle the average score of 92 students increased from the first cycle of only 81. In addition, the percentage of students who graduated experienced an increase from the first cycle of students who graduated 37 students (69%) in the second cycle 44 students (94%) graduated because there are only 3 students (6%) who have not graduated.   Keywords: , ,
