Abstract

This paper discusses the determination of the optimal tilt angle of solar panels in the Nagan Raya aims to maximize acceptance of solar radiation. Adjust the titl angle customized panels with latitude location can maximize the acceptance of solar radiation. Calculation of the optimal angle variations is simulated at an angle of 10 – 50 intervals between angle 10. For the purposes of simulation calculation of optimal tilt angle against the value-based maximum radiation on tilted surface, use data that NASA SEE. A study conducted in Nagan Raya this is determined based on the google maps coordinates of the point. This research resulted in recommendations for the optimum tilt angle in Nagan Raya who was the tilt 40 with South-facing orientation. The results of the technical study of this research can be used as initial references against the installation of a solar panel fixed type in the Nagan Raya. Keywords: Optimum angle, Solar panels, NASA SSE, Nagan Raya, Renewable Energy

Abstract

Gas stations Mawaddah Is one of the gas stations located in the Village Batuphat East Lhokseumawe. The gas station has 5 oil pumps consisting of premium with two pumps, diesel consists of two pumps, and pertamax consists of one pump. Preliminary data have been made regarding the arrival rate of vehicles in each pump, which is a two-wheeled premium filling pump of 195 vehicles, four or more 166 wheels or four wheels filling pumps, four or more diesel fuel pumps of 156 and a feeding pump of 138 vehicles. High vehicle arrival rate resulted in queue. To calculate the level of service has never been done so it is not known the maximum time for service on each pump. The research method used is queuing model related to arrival rate and service level, with result of research which obtained is vehicle arrival rate at each pump that is 2 wheel of premium gasoline pump is 2.59 minutes. The premium 4 wheels charging pump is 6.98. The 4 wheelers diesel fuel pump is 5.97 minutes and the first charging pump is 6.65 minutes with the facility number 1. Vehicle service rates of premium 2 and 4 wheelers are 15.52 minutes and 14.11 minutes, 4 wheel diesel fuel pump is 14.21 minutes and the first feed pump is 13.55 minutes with scenario design on each pump is Scenario 1 with 2 pumps, Probability of medium system empty 0.87500, Number of subscribers in the system and number of customers waiting in the queue of each 1 customer, the average customer time in the system 0.06696 minutes and waiting time as long as the customer in the queue 0.00030 minutes. Keywords: Queue, facility, arrival rate, service rate.

Abstract

Increased demand for medical materials, triggering research into alternativemedical materials. Alternative materials should have the same characteristics for the patient's body. Sericin is a protein that has biocompatible, biodegradable and other important properties. Sericin is widely used in biomedical applications, it is thought that sericin is a promising natural resource as an alternative medical material. This study analyzed pore diameter in sericin-bioplastic biocomposites by Taguchi method. Bioplastics of 3 variations of tapioca starch were 16 g, 14 g, and 10 g, mixed 80 ml of aquades and 6 ml of glycerin. Sericin was determined 0.03%, 0.1%, and 0.3% by weight of tapioca starch. The biocomposite undergoes freeze drying process and is frozen at -25oC, -45oC, and -80oC for one day. SEM test to see pore diameter and biocomposite structure. Optimal analysis was performed for optimal combinations of sericin-bioplastic biocomposites. The SEM results showed pore diameters qualified for regeneration of skin tissue on freezers C -C, F, and I -25oC biocomposites of 41.94 μm, 33.416 μm and 32.743 μm respectively. Calculation of average response and maximum SNR at 16 g tapioca starch, 0.03% sericin and -25oC temperature. The predicted and confidence interval values for averages are large from 11,656 μm and small from 54,602 μm, SNR is large from 31,940 μm and small from 33,642 μm. The optimal experimental conditions for confirmation of large pore diameter for averages were large from 32.342 μm and small from 34.206 μm, large SNR of 32.342 μm and small from 34.206 μm.Keywords: Composition optimization, alternative medical materials, sericin- bioplastic biocomposites, Taguchi Methods, SEM

Abstract

CV. Rapi Kana is a furniture company in Ule Reuleng North Aceh, the company produces cabinets, study chairs, tables, study tables and more. The chair and lecture desk is one of the most closely related factors in improving the quality of student learning. Discomfort in learning to make students less focused and tend to get tired quickly in doing tasks and lecture activities. The main cause lies on the desk used. The lesson used is less suitable for the student body size. Dissociation between study desk and student body size is one of the obstacles in the effort to improve the quality human resources. The impact of desks that arenot in accordance with body size can lead to many students experiencing fatigue. Nonconformity of the desk leads to feelings of discomfort (restlessness), lack of concentration, drowsiness, and so forth. In this case will be done research related to the design of the mini desk, where the study table produced by the company will be analyzed its shortcomings and advantages, followed by redesign for the desk. The design is adapted to the posture of the human body. The method used to start with the determination of product characteristics with Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method and also from the calculation of antropometry data so that the result of mini table design in accordance with consumer desire that is comfortable, effective and efficient. Keywords: Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method, Anthropomentry, Mini tabledesign

Abstract

All minerals contained in drinking water, including Pb and Fe, shall be inaccordance with Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010, which shall not exceed 0.01 mg/l for Pb and 0.3 mg/l for Fe. The provision is also required against Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK). If the content is excessive can disrupt and endanger health.Based on Permenkes Number 492/2010, the researchers have conducted the test of Pb and Fe content of 7 (seven) brands of Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) local production of the western-southern coastal area of Aceh province. In the study, researchers used descriptive methods based on laboratory test results. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling, in which each brand is taken 3 (three) drinking water sample in glass packaging 220-230 ml from different market/location. The results of observation, researchers found 7 brands of Drinking Water In Packaging (AMDK). The test is repeated 2 times. So the total is 42 test samples. The results showed that from 42 test samples gave excellent results on Pb content, which of the seven brands of AMDK tested did not show the Pb content to the lowest limit that can be detected by Atomic Absorption Spectrosphotometry (SSA), which is 0.002 mg/l. The content of Pb is far below the requirement stipulated in Permenkes Number 492/2010, is not exceeding 0.01 mg/l. While the Fe content of the seven brands of AMDK tested gave varying values, but the content is still very low compared to the Fe content permitted Permenkes No. 492/2010, which does not exceed 0.3 mg/l. Where there are 2 brands of AMDK have Fe content ranging from 0.12 to 0.17 mg/l, while from 5 other brands of AMDK have Fe content ranges from 0.0113 to 0.0941 mg/l. So, from the results obtained it can be concluded that the seven brands of Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) production area of South West Coast of Aceh is safe for consumption, because it does not cause the impact of Pb and Fe content is still far from the maximum set Permenkes No. 492/2010.Keywords: Pb, Fe, Bottled Drinking Water
